Where to begin...I couldn't justify more than a 1 nor can I suggest a "negative" as some others have put. The room was OK for $80 a night. I didn't expect anything fancy but I hoped for a lot more than I got. I never felt unsafe and I used the room so it is what it is. That being said: First things first, the rooms. The AC was cold, the beds were clean and that was the highlight. The furniture was straight out of the 70's or 80's. There was a mended spot on the wall that they used a staple gun to put back together and never spackled/patched. The carpets felt a lot like they've not been properly cleaned in years. The bathroom sink drain was slow so my tooth brushing mess sat in the bowl for 5-10 minutes. The towels were all supposed to be white but they were varying shades of white/cream/yellow. The pressure was good and temperature was great on the shower but the water was obviously not treated as it was hard as hell. The doors throughout the hotel have streaks of paint like they have been damaged and maintenance was too lazy to do it properly. The exterior of the building looks run down and the paint is flaking. There are rust streaks down the concrete columns on the outside as well. The common area is ok at a distance but close observation of the pool area shows neglect. The pool is in desperate need of cleaning (soap scum all around the rim of the pool), the paint in the bottom of the pool is nearly gone and the tile is inconsistent and broken. On a positive note the water appeared to be clean and seemed to be well treated. The kiddie pool on the other hand needed refinished badly and was drained. The hot tub was bad enough I actually worried about flesh eating bacteria when I was in it. I didn't stay long. They also had a cloth office chair next to the hot tub. Fabric seats plus heat and humidity usually equals scary bacteria and mold. The gym is a joke. Two or three treadmills, a multi function machine and a couple other machines. According to a gym goer, only one or two of the machines functioned. Everything else was broken. There is a pizza place up top that obviously hasn't been opened for quite some time. Just past that you'll find a rather pointless putting green. There are no balls, no clubs but a green with several holes. The common area was incredibly warm which was fine if you were swimming. If you aren't, you're going to sweat. A lot. The arcade is full of outdated games that are very dirty. The whole thing is incredibly hot. I would guess between 90°F and 100°F. The games that do work are ok but the rest is money stealing junk. The place is littered with vending machines that are very overpriced. A snack sized bag of chips was $1. The smells in the hotel are curious and fun. You never know if you're going to get smacked in the face with rotten trash, litter box, dog, some strange sweet smell by the front desk, it was an adventure trying to guess what noxious odor I was going to encounter next! Breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs sit in a water bath which was very odd to me. The sausage was good but the coffee was empty, the pancake syrup is a bit of a scavenger hunt as the jugs are scattered throughout the eating area instead of being near the food. This may have been the other guests but there's no way to tell. It's like the breakfast you would get at a Quality Inn but much, much dirtier. The staff was courteous when they could be found. Strangely, no matter when you go to the front desk it seems that you have to ring a doorbell to get someone to show up and help you. Sometimes it's right away, at one point I waited 10 minutes for someone to show up and they came from outside so the desk wasn't even staffed. Checkout is 11 AM and at 9:30 AM housekeeping showed up at my door to clean my room. Apparently they were in a hurry for me to leave. We were on our way out anyways but there was a definite language barrier. I asked if I could help and the three ladies stood there staring at me with obvious confusion. I waited until one responded with "everything ok?" When I said yes they smiled and walked on. Just an overall confusing and unnecessary experience. In the end, I got what I paid for. I paid $106 with taxes and fees for the room which was well below other area rooms. I regret not spending the additional $30 for a different hotel that would have surely been cleaner, more pleasant and more enjoyable. I will never stay here again. read more

We stayed the night before a wedding. The entire hotel smells of mildew. Our hotel room was disgusting, everything was outdated, and it smelled. They wouldn't refund our $. The coke in the machine was expired and they didn't care. This hotel used to be a beautiful place and has been a part of Jasper. This place needs to be demolished. It is the most disgusting place I've stayed at. Stay away!! read more

My son played in a basketball tournament and we stayed in the Jasper Inn. This place was atrocious!!!! It still shows a franchise as Ramada but it has broken away and is now independent. Toe nail clipping on the carpet, urine around the base of the toilet Friends had their tv on a card board box and the bathtubs show zero signs of cleaning. The water fountains even have signs saying not to drink the water.and I can go on and on. This place is owned by individuals that do not know how to conduct business and do not have the same standards. We weren't the only ones. Best of all they told us we had a 15 min retraction policy in order to get a full refund. We took residence in another facility. I am amazed at how clean, neat and classy Jasper's community is that they have allowed this facility to represent them. Kudos to the Jasper police force for helping us. BTW -- We had a FANTASTIC dinner at Schnitzelbank. In the end.....Do Not stay in the Jasper Inn in Jasper, IN. read more

Not happy with the new take over by Ramada. We have stayed her countless times. But this time the name has changed and the service too. Our room had just sprayed for bugs and smelled awful. No towels, no toilet paper, no cups, no tv remote and the volume on tv is broken. Also half of channels didn't come in. Not impressed. read more

This place was horrible. The smoke free room smelled like smoke, the bed and pillows were absolutely uncomfortable, the room was really dirty, and the shower didn't drain. Never again will we stay here. read more

If I could give them a negative rating I would this place is horrible we had enjoyed our day at Holiday World only to arrive here to a room that's stunk of mildew we also had counted over 14 flies in our room half of those were dead and stuck to the curtains and the walls they wanted to tell us that we brought the flies in our self and that they didn't smell anything wrong we also had dried blood smeared on the wall and our ice bucket was filthy when I turned the lid over I could literally scratch my name in the crud that was stuck to the top of the lid... the toilet leaked so therefore when we went to stand up to get up from the toilet and we slipped in the water and fell back down we were told that we did that our self . and they've never had any problems and I just read other reviews and apparently they have had problems so they were lying to us. I took pictures and I also had a video recording going when they barged into my room with their card key demanding to see the bugs only then to tell me I brought them in myself and that we needed to get our things and get the hell out of there that's what they told us and not to ever come back believe me we will never go back....... I have never had the experience in my entire life that I did with this place I will make it my goal for everyone to know that Jasper Inn is a horrible hotel it's dirty and bug filled smells horrible and management does not care about anything... it was dirty unclean they didn't even offer a comforter.. thank goodness I bring my own towels and blankets and sheets when I go places for incidences just like this where you get a hotel who is extremely nasty nasty nasty and the Rude owners and staff were rude and mean I will make it my goal that everyone knows that this place is horrible this is only the beginning of my complaining you have no idea how ticked off I am that I had to paid you money to be miserable!!!!!!!!! read more

I would give this hotel a negative review if I could. In the past years, this hotel has impressed me. Recently, a new owner has taken over and the place has really gone downhill. (Constant leaks, messes, wifi problems, and gross, expired food) Their phones in the rooms do not work, and they no longer offer room service. We just stayed at this hotel this past weekend for a softball tournament. The inside was almost 80 degrees and extremely humid. The outlets were hanging out of the wall in some of our teams rooms. Our sink would not drain. The furniture looks like something out of the 80's and has not been updated since. Breakfast was disgusting with powdered eggs and milk actually in a jug to serve yourself. Not sanitary what so ever. Not to mention the skunk that got in over night and made itself at home in the pool table. That was the only night we stayed at the hotel and checked out as fast as we could. I can honestly say this was one of the worst hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. Do yourself a favor and don't book a room here. The owners were also rude and not taking responsibility for any of the issues we were having. read more

We stayed here Friday night 6/17/2016 for a weekend softball tournament in Santa Claus. My family booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but only stayed one. It's no exaggeration that we were extremely disappointed with our stay. I sincerely want to encourage the management to address the issues we encountered..... The common areas, stairs, hallways & balconies had very old, stained and dirty carpet. Very hot common areas. No elevator. Dirty windows everywhere. Very dated rooms that were probably last updated in the late '80s. Moldy shower tile grout. The water in the showers was yellow when first turned on. Mattresses were uncomfortable with springs that you could feel. Phantom hourly late night phone calls until approximately 4am. Terrible breakfast with off-brand (of which we had never heard) food items, dried up pats of butter, inedible peanut butter and a dirty breakfast area. Cockroaches in the workout room. No water in the hot tub or kiddie pool. Rusty fixtures in the main pool. A long ago abandoned snack bar. And to top it all off, a skunk....yes, a skunk in a corner pocket of the pool table. Folks, you seriously can not even make this stuff up. After a heated exchange on Saturday morning with the front desk, during which the management maintained owning no responsibility for the poor conditions, we were eventually refunded for the remaining pre-paid reservations. And given 5 minutes to pack up our rooms and "get out". It's obvious that, at one time, this was likely an amazing property. With a major investment in improvements and a MUCH larger staff, this hotel could be a viable family friendly option. If such a commitment isn't made, management should advertise this property as a budget hotel and price rooms as such. Or consider selling out for demolition. read more

This place is nasty and stinks bad. I had my dog here and I don't thank she even cared for it . Breakfast wasn't even a breakfast I tried a bit of everything that was on the bar and didn't taste good at at all. It doesn't deserve a a stare . Stay away please . read more

I have great memories of staying here when I was a kid in the 80s and it was a Holidome. Unfortunately it will not be a great memory for my kids. Mold on the shower wall, very uncomfortable beds and scratchy linens, a condom floating in the pool in the evening. This hotel needs a major overhaul. read more

I travel often, this is the worst hotel I have stayed. Small, dirty rooms topped with horrible service. Stayed two days but the room wasn't cleaned after the first day, had to go to the desk for clean towels to shower the second day. Wifi too weak to use. The 24 hr notice for cancelation should tell you everything. read more

we have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years, and when we recently booked to stay 3 nights over New Years, we woke up New Years Day to "BED BUGS"....they tried to tell us they were not, but they were.....Me & my 6 year old grandaughter was bitten so badly overnight, we both had to seek Medical Treatment, needless to say, we left after 1 night....I don't ever want to even see this place again.
