Updating my review, first time was a flop, but decided to get best western another go, this time…read morethey were pet friendly. Stayed in room 223 which was very clean and neat. Love the body wash that was there. Bathroom was very clean compared to last time Breakfast was okay, wish you all can include turkey bacon, or turkey sausage, always remember not everyone eats pork. Thank you. Enjoyed the pool, no one was there at the time I went for a swim, which was great. Overall I'll definitely consider staying again.

There was a sleeper sofa in the room, that reeked of urine. I'm not sure if it was coming from the mattress section or the cushions on the couch or what, but it was pretty much nothing that we would sit on. Speaking of not sitting on it, there was dust on the armrests like they don't have vacuum attachments or something. Cobwebs on power cords and curtains. Mildew or mold in the shower between the tiles. See pictures. Water would leak from the shower, under the wall, soaking the carpet 3 ft. Into the carpeting by the side of the bed. To the point where my girlfriend's shoelaces were wet in the morning. Luckily she didn't have a bag on the floor.. Very loud creaky ceiling. I think most hotels use concrete floors but this one has wooden floors and between the footsteps and the creaking, it was hard to get to sleep. Could also easily hear voices from upstairs. While we were down at the pool, our key became demagnetized for some reason, and when my girlfriend went to the desk to get it reprogrammed, the lady, Darlene , gave her the third degree about asking for ID and everything which of course was in the room that we couldn't get into. And then finally reprogrammed the key but like it was a chore and she was doing us a favor. Handicap spots are on the side of the building but you have to wheel around to the main entrance because there's no cutout in the sidewalk to get up to the side entrance. Breakfast. I knew it was posted on the wall and they offered things like pancakes and bacon or omelets and bacon. But Saturdays and Sundays it's the exact same menu. Scrambled eggs and sausage links. You would think they would split that up. Mix it up for weekend travelers. Will not stay there again.

This is a decent hotel that meets its price point but doesn't exceed it. The rates are affordable,…read moreand considering I booked 7 months in advance I managed to snag a room on the weekend of several local events that had sold out most other areas. Getting to it was troublesome as the entire road was torn up due to construction, but that really wasn't their fault. The room was tired but comfortable. Paint was peeling off the walls, duct tape held parts together, our white bathroom towels had ink stains, the TV didn't work right until we had the staff fix it, wiring was located in conduit wire-stapled to the walls, etc. They didn't have dressers in the rooms, though there were fridges and microwaves. I guess that is the trade off. The ice machine was broken, and the soda machine was sold out of bottled water (it is filled only once a week, and we were there only 2 days after refill). Everything was loud, as in you could hear other people in the their rooms while walking the halls (and vice versa). The free complimentary breakfast was okay. Two types of cold cereal, toast, a waffle maker, yogurt, some premade egg things in the fridge to warm up, etc. Nothing spectacular, but it was free (or at least included in the price of the room). The staff were friendly and helpful. If you expect a budget room at a budget price, you will probably be satisfied. But don't expect more.

Our Silver Lining Mis-FORTUNATE (Synonyms: Lucky · Favored ·…read moreBlessed) Wedding postponed, Niagara off the Table, now what do we do!? After some research I decided on a Visit to the Chalet. I have stayed in some of the finest B & B's in the North East and visited with optimism despite our forced change in plans. WOW, the Universe plays the Best tricks. As we drove up a lengthy driveway I was struck by the Beauty of the Willow Trees dancing in the wind over a beautiful duck pond with a Blue Heron gracing its little Island. As we continued up the Driveway the Chalet came into view. We were greeted warmly by Pattie who helped work through some details. Soon Margaret joined us and offered another warm welcome. They asked us some open-ended questions (Morning Beverage of choice for one), offered Insights and shared recommendations, letting us know that our satisfaction was their focus. After seeing some common areas we were escorted to our room where every detail was covered to ensure we would be getting the most out of our stay. Our Room (Lee Suite) was appointed with tasteful furnishings and offered an instant comfort. We stayed for three nights and each morning, when we arrived at our desired time, we found a carafe of Coffee and hot water waiting for us to get seated. Breakfast is three (3) courses and changed daily. Dietary needs were addressed upon arrival and any personal likes and dislikes were noted for the visit, and future visits for those so fortunate. Every bite was delicious and well balanced. As a Inspired home cook I could tell these ladies truly enjoy crafting this deliciousness each day. One suggestion (my regret) would be to take some time to enjoy the grounds. I was so busy running around the lakes that I failed to do this adequately. It is such a relaxing environment that you need to take some of that in. I will make sure to do more of this on my return trip.

My wife and I spent two nights there in The Balcony suite...highly recommend, although following the tour of the other options, I don't believe there is a bad choice!
