The Inn At Glenora Wine Cellars - View from our room

The best part is definitely the views. Every room has a patio or a porch with a view of the lake…read more I'm sure the views are better from the 2nd story rooms, but the 1st story room patios open onto the grass next to the vineyard which is great from lounging in and for kids playing in. Amenities inside the room were good. Not super modern, but everything was well kept up and clean. GREAT shower pressure. I really appreciated that they had large refillable soap/shampoo/conditioner mounted to the wall in the shower - those small one time use bottles are the worst. Our Vinter's Guestroom (the option with two beds) had a huge bathroom. I really appreciated the mini fridge. They greet you with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and there is also a free bottle of wine in your room - it's sweet wine, but if you don't roll that way (like us) you can exchange it for something else - which does have a cost depending on the bottle, but was worth it for us. You also get a free wine tasting with your stay.

Nice small hotel on the grounds of the Glenora winery. There is also a restaurant onsite. The…read morehotel rooms were well prepared and clean and included a couple bottles of water, a bottle of wine, and a coupon for free wine tastings. The room interior was looking a bit worn but it is still a nice room with a balcony overlooking Seneca lake. The view is fantastic. The hotel is fully booked with many weddings so you better make your reservations well in advance. We stayed on a Tuesday night but it was still full.

This is a Dog Friendly lodge with 8 rooms on the same property as the Grist Iron Brewing Co. so you can simply walk over for craft beer, wine, lunch or dinner. There was a terrific singer songwriter one evening (Rachel Beverly) who played her originals and covers to satisfy any age group. This Lodge is located closer to side Watkins Glen side of Seneca Lake, one of the Finger Lakes wine trail. If you like wine tastings, craft beer, beautiful scenery and calm, easy living for a relatively close get-a-way, check this place out. COVID-19 Protocols are strictly followed; guests and staff need to wear masks while moving around the facility both at Lodge and at Brewery/Restaurant. Cleaning is at a very high standard. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy more time there. Make sure to visit Seneca Lake State Park near Geneva and Taughannock Falls State Park: Taughannock Falls. Both are accessible and you can drive right up to the views. Finally, check out the Cafe Ginny Lee for lunch at Wagner Winery, the Elf and Oak on 414 for sandwiches/lunch and the Village Marina in Watkins Glen for dinner and drinks. All are following safety protocols with outdoor dining available and dog friendly! https://www.airbnb.com/c/davidw87721?referral_share_id=202c4881-843f-443d-bfbc-9545f64298d7

There is a continental breakfast which is really pretty good, although there are no eggs or fruit. Having the brewery with food easily walkable is a big perk! There is also a cute fire pit area behind the lodge for guests. We met some fun people around the fire! I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved this hotel. I stayed here while attending a wedding- the room I choose was one of…read morethe exclusive rooms with a door that led directly out onto the balcony/patio from my room. It overlooked Keuka Lake and was just absolutely beautiful- the room was spacious, clean and very comfy. Funny story - just not at the time, I accidentally locked myself out of my room and couldn't get back in - can you see me smacking my forehead right now? Well, let me tell you that the gentleman that was standing at the front desk could see I was in a mad panic because I wasn't fully dressed ( no shoes , hair still up ) ran immediately to help me. Within minutes he had rescued me- omg! Talk about embarrassing myself- This gentleman was professional and polite and had a positive attitude towards me- and I was super grateful and soon I was on my way to the wedding rehearsal party and when I returned back to my room later that evening, to my surprise I was treated like a queen with a bottle of the local wine country wine and a charcuterie board- Thank you young man for making my weekend that much less stressful- XXOO

To be honest, this Hampton Inn was a disappointment. It relies too much on its beautiful waterfront…read morelocation, however, the rooms show wear and tear. There were only two bath towels in the room. In every other Hampton I've ever stayed in there have been four. Why is this important? If you are sharing a room with a woman who wants to wash her hair invariably she will dry her body with one towel and dry her hair with another. To put the nail in the coffin arriving at breakfast at 9 AM almost everything had run out and the kitchen had not timed things well with people waiting 10 to 15 minutes for replenishment. As a brand, I love Hampton Inn. It is my go to place when I travel for business, however, this experience was."less than"

Admiral Peabody's Lakeside Lodging - My husband and I enjoyed a sample of a local wine on the private dock! Our pup liked watching the fish jump:)

I am really glad they did. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with my parents. There was plenty of room for all of us. There were plenty of blankets and towels, and the full-sized kitchen gave the place a nice home-like feel. There were even chilled glasses in the freezer for our drinks! The view from the patio is amazing. We enjoyed some time just sitting outside watching boats sail around the lake. For the July 4th fireworks, we sat on the deck (which is exclusive for guests) right on the water. We could not have asked for a better view. As much as we liked the atmosphere of the room, we liked the owners even better. We interacted mostly with Olga, who was so sweet and accommodating. Anything we needed was provided. She treated us to a fresh watermelon, and even allowed my wife (who is a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan) to take a Bills glass that was in the freezer home. I cannot say enough good things about Admiral Peabody's. It is definitely a place at which I would stay over and over again.

We needed to find last-minute accommodations that would allow our dog and also didn't cost $500 a night after our van broke down unexpectedly. Admiral Peabody's was an affordable, clean and dog friendly hotel in Watkins Glen that we totally lucked into because it didn't even come up on our searches! This place totally exceeded our expectations. Admiral Peabody's doesn't feel like a hotel. It feels like your own lakeside cottage. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. We were able to sneak a look at the one bedroom bungalow cottages which were also adorable! Our suite was roomy, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. It was also really nice sitting on the deck right outside of our room. PLUS, Admiral Peabody's has a private dock right on the lake with tables, chairs and a blue tooth music system. I'm not sure how old this yelp listing is but the owner now is Luke. HE IS THE BEST. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Watkins Glen, don't pass up this hidden gem.
