Not the best, not the worst. I would classify this as a standard Hampton. I personally did not encounter any issues on my stay. the room was clean, and all amenities were available and were in working order. Hotels are few and far in between in this area, but there was a good selection of eating places and shopping available. Check-in was standard, friendly staff, I did not partake in the complimentary breakfast as i left prior to it beginning. I would stay here again. read more

I booked the place thinking it was a good, clean hotel. However, the pictures show that the room we are staying in has a coffee maker, but we can't use it since the coffee tray is slightly too big for it. You can see patchwork on the wall with red scuff marks. I booked it because the photos made me feel it would be a safe and clean place to stay with my family, but I do not really feel it's safe, and the place isn't clean at all. read more

This hotel is in desperate need of a competent handyman. 1. The bathroom door cut out was not screwed in. It just drops out to the floor. Someone shoved toilet paper inside to keep it from falling off and left it. 2. The toilet lid seat does not stay up. I did clorox wipe the seat lid before filming the video and after touching the seat. If they cut corners on basics like this...where else are they. I stay in hotels all of the time. The place is dirty, the women behind the counter are rude! We came in from out of town to attend a funeral, they charged us an extra $75!!! We told them we would be out by 7am the next morning. No coffee machine in the room, half a roll of toilet paper! DO NOT STAY HERE! & they charge you $4 for a cup of weak coffee! read more

We enjoyed an overnight stay at this property recently. Parking is complimentary, ample and shared by the restaurant next door. As Diamond level Hilton Honors members, it was a bit disappointing to not only NOT receive an upgraded room upon arrival, but our level was not even recognized by staff until we it with hem shared at reception. It felt weird asking for things like bottled water without feeling like we were beggars. That said, the property seems to have undergone significant remodeling and it was lovely. The back patio overlooking Conyngham valley was splendid! The dining area was clean and well-appointed too. As i shared, we were placed in an (unchosen, un-required) ADA accessible room which was a new experience. The room was located just off the elevator, but fortunately it was not super busy or noisy during our stay. The room was very clean. The king bed was comfy and the temperature controls worked flawlessly. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but the women who worked it did their best to stock the food and beverage bar to ensure every patron, whether an early bird or a late riser, received the same amount choices. No one was left wanting. All in all, we would return to this property when visiting again. read more

This is my second visit to this hotel. We love it! Excellent staff. Scott is on point and goes above and beyond to make your stay incredible. The view is to die for. I've attached a few photos that show the view from the patio. It's a great place to have a drink or enjoy breakfast. Be sure to ask for the valley view room, and you'll have this gorgeous view from your room. For dog lovers, it's dog-friendly and there is ample space to walk your dog. Highly recommend. read more

I love Hamptons and spend 250 nights a year in hotels. This is a nice property in a beautiful location, but FILTHY. Our room has a weird chocolately smell - like somebody dumped coffee and chocolate in the AC. But the bathroom sink smells like somebody dumped curry in it. The foyer floor was sticking to our feet, so we wiped it with a wet towel. It came out black, seriously. I doubt anybody EVER washes the floor, ever. The bathroom floor is also disgusting. Shower stall is getting black where you stand. Beds are fine. Maid service is spotty. It took 2 days to get a tissue refill, and tonight there are no wash cloths. ????? Very nice staff. I am a Hilton Honors member and try to stay at Hilton properties when I can. For that reason I chose this Hampton Inn even though it was $50 more than the hotel nearby. I won't ever be staying there again and I may not ever stay at another Hilton until they send someone in the senior staff to this hotel pretending to be a guest to see how we were treated. I made the reservation for my employee working in Hazleton. The front desk person Megan had an attitude from the moment we arrived. We felt like we weren't wanted. Everything was a problem. No Hilton Honor rate was offered. We paid $165 per night plus fees and taxes. This was during the week and the hotel was near empty. Also Megan made us feel stupid for asking. Also, we were refused an upgrade just to have a better view. That costs them nothing when a room is empty. A few days later I called to respectfully complain about the rate and about Megan. Carla the Manager said I was wrong and that she never had a complaint about Megan. She didn't even want to hear it. She put ne on speaker so that others in the room can hear and they laughed at me for having the nerve to complain. She spoke to Me as if I was a child and as if she was putting on a show for her employees while ridiculing me. I explained that I'm based in NY but have a client nearby and would want to have someone stay several days per month. She just didn't care. I can see why Megan felt like she could be rude. Carla embarrassed me and I felt like she just didn't care. Hilton, I have stayed at your 4 star properties where people are properly trained but I will never stay in Hazleton again and I will tell everyone I know in Hazleton to do the same. I would probably give them a 2.5 if I could. When we travel, we stay 90% of the time at Hilton properties. We were so disappointed with this one. The hotel is beautiful - it's in a great location and the staff is very friendly. The issue is with the complacency of the staff and management. The shower in our room had an extremely slow drain; so much so that the water was almost to the top of the tile. When we called the front desk about it, the response was "yes we know that happens a lot and is a problem. Sorry." Wow! The lack of responsiveness was shocking. Going on a family adventure to a new unknown place with my son, we had to pick a place to stay, he google and found this place. He picked it, he loved it. We got a Motorclub discount, no reservation needed, we showed up, customer service was great and friendly. Please be Aware, Do NOT pick a room on the first floor, because the people that come in and register late at night slam the doors as they are getting into their rooms or going upstairs, if I knew this, I would had picked the 4th floor. By 2:00 AM I was woken up by the slamming of a door, and you know I couldn't go back to sleep so I had to go on Yelp and social media to entertain myself in the middle of the night. There, I hope you make better choice in rooms to enjoy this place more. The views are lovely, sitting on top of a mountains, mountains all over to see. Next door, there is a lovely restaurant with delicious food and one of the most romantic views I had seen in a restaurant. A unique one. There is an outdoor pool which is closed due to the weather. The bed, it was the first time I experienced a hotel bed with such a lovely comfortable soft mattress !!!! it was soft white and my body fell deep into it, it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud, lovely experience. And if you know me by now, you know that sleep is at my top priority. I can go days without eating, but not without sleep. The smell of the clean white cottonish sheets were appeasing and calming to my brain, it relaxed me and help me to fall asleep in like a few moments. read more

Decent lodging, but nothing special. Right off the bat they kinda pissed me off by handing me a code of conduct to sign, basically saying that could kick me out if I made too much noise. I found it insulting, especially since I didn't see anyone else have to sign one. I'm not going to go into it here, but if you saw me you'd know the idea of me having a loud party in my room is laughable. The hallway rugs were dingy and worn. Defiantly a nice place to stay in Hazleton. We stayed in a standard King room with a valley view. Room was a nice size, and very clean. Free Wifi worked well. They also have a nice breakfast with plenty of options. Check in was fast, and all the employees that we came in contact with were very nice. Outdoor pool was clean. FYI- the hotel is undergoing renovations right now, but we were not bothered by that. read more

Pros: This hotel provided a nice getaway for my mother and I on New Years. We had the valley view which was beautiful to wake up to in the mornings and open the curtains. Rooms were very clean, not a spot in sight. Walls weren't thin, thank goodness. No noise from inside or outside the area. King bed we shared was super comfortable, provided four pillows and I slept like a baby. TV had multiple shows and movies to choose from. I absolutely fell in love with the walk in shower. The room provided a coffee maker (which they said was free of charge but we never used it), and came with a mini fridge which was perfect for our food and alcohol. Gotta get that new years dranky drank drank drank on! *giggity* The free breakfast in the morning was decent, in my opinion. Some of the fruit wasn't fresh, some was. Potato hash was kinda dry/hard. Sausage was too greasy. Best parts was the eggs, OJ and coffee (coffee and tea available 24 hours btw) so I'd recommend those but I can't really complain because it was free food. This hotel is near the highway so there is no restaurants within walking distance, except for a restaurant connected to the hotel (but their stuff is overpriced we didn't even bother). The hotel gives you a paper at check in (if you ask) with a list of restaurants that you can drive/take a cab to but we ended up nixing it. We just used Uber Eats app which delivered Subway sandwiches at the check in area. Our experience was pleasant, we felt cozy and peaceful while away from the city. Housekeeping does stop by if you're wondering. Only con, is that the employees working at the check in desk seemed miserable. Point blank. Whenever I went down to ask a question I got this gloomy vibe that felt uncomfortable. They never smiled, said you're welcome and seemed to avoid eye contact. They seemed more friendlier towards my mom though for some reason. So I can't really speak on why that is, but other than that this hotel was good. read more

A total pain in the ass to find as the address puts you 5 miles away in downtown Hazelton. Room was large and fitness center was decent size. Staff was helpful and accomdating and the room was clean. Prices were cheap here at around $100. read more

I like this place. Good location, quiet, a good restaurant attached, and they are knowledgeable about service dogs. However, room cleanliness is not up to the standard of what you pay for. The grim, grit, chips, and nastiness in the bathroom is not acceptable. It's too bad because everything else is good. How do you not see brown funk around the toilet seat hinges? Either lower the cost or live up to the standard. I will come back only for the nice things, but will continue to address the issues. read more

I drove for 5 hours from Virginia and thought I'll get a hotel to rest. I saw the Hampton sign from the interstate and decided to rest there. The person at the front desk who's a heavy set white individual didn't look like he wanted to help me. I asked if he had any room available and he quickly said No. so I left. I truly believe that he was lying to me. So I had my wife call to make reservations and they said they had rooms available. Well I'm writing this review from the Holiday Express hotel. Stayed at the Hampton Inn over this July 4th weekend for a good friends wedding. Overall experience was very good. I travel extensively for work, and normally stay at the nicer Hiltons or Marriotts, but for a Hampton, this property is very nice. Rooms are smaller but incredible views of the Conyngham Valley, which is gorgeous. Additionally, the morning breakfast is done very well. Karen, who works at setting the food stations up, does an incredible job. You can tell she takes pride in her job and really cares about the customer's experience. Congratulations on becoming a hotel on my "Never Again" list! In 15 years of traveling for a living (150+ nights per year), I find very few major hotels that are a dump; this hotel is one of then. One entrance to the building, a building that looks like an abandoned building that you'd expect to see in Detroit, a parking lot that doesn't have enough spaces for guests, floors that have smoking and non-smoking rooms intermixed, and hallways that smell like a bowling alley. I am a Hilton Silver member and upon check in I was not greeted as such. Actually the check in girl was kind of short with me and seemed pretty miserable; kind of made it an uncomfortable experience. The room was very clean and beds comfortable but the pillows were too soft, they flattened like pancakes. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and supplies but the water pressure was horrible! It must have taken me 15 minutes just to wash shampoo out of my hair due to the weak flow of water. The pool in the online pictures make it look much bigger than it is in person... it's actually more like an oversized hot tub and had a lot of debris floating in it (leaves, branches, ETC.) Breakfast was super busy and they only had 1 waffle maker, you had to stand on line for at least 10 minutes just to make a waffle. The staff locked up the non stick spray so everyone's waffles were sticking and just made a big mess. Definitely the worst Hilton/Hampton brand hotel I've stayed in and we travel frequently. read more

Great renovated rooms, shower stall instead of tub. Nice little modern pants and dress shirt hanger on wall. Plenty of USB ports. Incredible view too, almost breathtaking. Very sweet staff at checkin. Funny little fishbowl with Swedish Fish in it at checkin desk. Decent rate. What's not to like? 3.5 stars. This is your typical Hampton Inn. Free breakfast, free internet, and comfortable budget accommodations. However, this hotel does have one of the best views I've ever seen at a hotel, budget or otherwise. Half of the rooms face the valley, the others face a parking lot. If you can tell from the stars, I faced the lot. Now, I realize it's luck of the draw, but as a Diamond with Hilton I expected some better luck. And the room smelled like chemicals. For such a empty & slow town, Hampton Inn in Hazleton is pretty decent. Hazleton is an odd town with very little in it - even the strip malls are pretty backwards & drab. I've never seen such odd stores. Even though I stayed here so I can go snowboarding, Hazleton didn't really keep me entertained or satisfied my stomach during the downtime. Hampton Inn was pretty standard. They're doing construction in the lobby right now but it doesn't really get in the way unless you plan on hanging out in the lobby. The front desk wasn't rude but they could be friendlier. I didn't feel especially welcomed. What is awesome though -- is their complimentary Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the front desk. They're put out in the evenings -- I kept on stealing more & more (YUMMY!). Rooms -- nice comfy beds, free wifi, & updated flatscreens but no fridge or microwave. Bathroom was average. Breakfast -- pretty conventional continental breakfast w/ cereal, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, waffle maker, toast, bagel, muffins. It's considered "full" bc they have 3 hot dishes that alternate. On day 1, they had eggs, sausage, & french toast sticks. On day 2, omelets, sausage, & home fries. Extraordinary? No but it fills you up. Decent hotel in a boring town -- would I stay again? No, but only bc the town was pretty uninteresting. read more

We stay at Hampton Inns quite often and this location did not disappoint! We chose here because it is connected to the Top of the 80's Restaurant, which I also recommend. They are in the midst of renovations but everything is accessible and kept clean. Our room was 352. We had a spectacular view of the valley. The room was clean and modern. The bathroom had a walk in shower that was very clean with plenty of towels, Neutrogena products, and a hair dryer. The room was ready upon check in and the clerk was kind. Checkout was easy. Our housekeeper was super friendly and greeted us when we were leaving. We missed breakfast but it smelled great. There was a coffee bar, cookies, fresh water, and a well stocked little store if needed. Two tiny cons: the pillows were super flat, even with 2 together. Also, the closet was very odd- it's across the room behind the chair and there isn't much room to hang anything up. They do have a "hanger" for shirt and pants attached to the wall but that's it. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would stay here again if we had the opportunity. read more

Horrible service, Billing is a mess. I paid for through a 3rd party, I called the night before my arrival and spoke with Todd.. He told me I was all good everything was in order. I went to check in and they told me the credit card was declined. I asked what she meant because I already received my credit card statement since and had paid it... I turned to my wife for a minute and she handed me the keys and said "You are all good". I said I thought you said the card was declined, she said.. No.. you are good.. I went to my room, and the mooring I go to check out, I get a bill saying card was declined. I said to the same woman.. What is this.. you told me I was all good.. Her exact words were. I called Todd and he told me to give you the keys to the room and that you were good. They literally NEVER did ANYTHING to resolve it, just pushed me off till I was ready to leave. Then she jumped in a conversation I was having with a friend explaining to him I already paid $400 and now I have to pay $200 more for a 2 night stay. She say.. NO YOU DID NOT PAY $400. I turned to her and said.. Charge me card and DON'T tell me what I paid. The issue is they never received the payment from the 3rd party, but did NOT communicate it correctly, then called the police to say MY credit card was declined, but she told the police she did not try to charge my credit card. Seriously she called the police on me.. STAY AWAY from this place read more

We stayed here for 1 night on a trip to Gettysburg. Check in was easy, the staff was friendly. Our room was nice and newly renovated. The breakfast was typical Hampton. There is a very nice restaurant attached to the hotel. We ate there and it was excellent, see my other review. No problems here at all, it's recommended! read more
