Parking at the front was usually full but they do have parking on the side of the hotel which was plentiful with a nearby entrance to the parking which is locked between 11pm-6am and requires a room key to open. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was quiet, only heard at times people walking and taking in the hallway. The bathroom and room was clean, walk in shower had good water pressure. The room itself is comfortable, but we did have difficulty fully closing the blackout curtains (we used a hanger with the clamps to keep it closed for privacy at night). The bed is ok, spring mattress with pillow top cover. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave, and safety deposit box. The room was clean and my search for bed bugs turned up none, the first thing I check before opening my bags. My king room was very comfortable with no neighbor sounds. The bathroom was nice with glass, stone and tile. The roof top bar has an excellent view of the area. Overall I had a nice stay in this hotel.

If you can deal with the slow response time for maintenance and slow bathtub drains / toilets then…read moreits not a bad value for itinerant / traveling workers/ nurses. I'm going to give ALL the pros and cons because if I'm going to tell it I will tell it ALL. Good value for the rate of 300.00/weekly or 1200.00 monthly since utilities, full kitchen, bathroom, and WiFi are included along with some dishes and kitchen ware. I do like the Hammock and the Gazebo in the summertime Pros! Indoor pool--not operating now--‍ --if I didn't swim somewhere else--it might be a plus; but seasonal. It is more spacious than what you will get with most lodging hotels at the price and that is also a plus. And it is always a good thing that at least there are NO bedbugs. I can say that much for now. Always glad of that. That being said we all know there's no such thing as perfect. (You win some and you lose some. ) Cons! Currently dealing with a RODENT infestation. I didn't bring any with me so I don't want to take any back to my permanent home. The place is out in rural area but still doesn't explain why there are rodents when there is a cat kept next door in the shed/ cottage. I think that if you don't mind staying on top of the Inn Keeper's head to keep him focused then you may not have any problems or take issues that I did. I suspect things may also go differently for you if you are a male type guest instead of female in this cottage back here. I don't like to bother people and I don't want to be or expect to bothered myself! That is part of why I THOUGHT I was paying the money that I do for the stay back here. Not w/o hassle. I'm sure if Inn Keeper prioritized prompt upkeep and address of maintenance issues the same way he seemed prioritize asking about when and where I would be w/o clothes next or 'when I was going to Sunny Haven next' --his own words-- it wouldn't be now since July that lock on front door has still to be fixed, or these critter bugs and cobwebs removed from the corners of ceiling, and now rat problem, and slow toilets and tub drains fixed. With that said I really think that InnKeep could use some extra help around the property truthfully and that is the issue. One person trying to manage all this by themselves. I hope Host gets that resolved soon for this business which is otherwise/aside from current issues, a great place to stay / good value for pricing. I get the impression that degree of helpfulness is somewhat reflective of / varies according to InnKeep's hopefulness or expectations of friendliness / familiarity on part of the guest. Like I said I payed the 1200.00 monthly to have a place to stay when not at work or traveling somewhere else and especially NOT to be bothered. That's my one job. I expect Host to do his. Cash the checks that I give him and keep the place operational and repairs if needed promptly. SMH Dude called at 2130 while I was in the bed last night about the repair for the bathtub drain which I told him I would Yelp about if it was not done by days end. Really!?! So he said he got busy with ..... I stopped listening after that but he did agree to come out and fix it after he got off work today. Bankers/Postal hours should equal sometime after 1700 or 1800. We will see if word is made good on. But I like to be good on my word.... Soooo...... I guess I've got to blast it off like I said I would do. There's so much more I could say but this is getting long and I will just leave Readers / Reviewers with the pictures I have.

The breakfast was incredible with bacon, cheese eggs, perfectly done potatoes, and a platter of homemade pastries. The location is rural but it was close to the black pine animal sanctuary, and about 40 minutes away from Fort Wayne. It was a good springboard for all of the local breweries we planned to scope out, which there is a ridiculous amount of (or maybe not, you need something to keep you busy in these small towns).

This is a great hotel for the price. I most offer a disclaimer and say this would be a 5-star…read morerating, but it just doesn't feel right since hotels already have a rating system and this was not on 5-star standards, but was a 4-star for a 3-star price! I have stayed here once for business and already booked three separate weeks in December. As a point of reference, I will be comparing this hotel to a few different Hampton Inns I have stayed at. They are both in the same price range, both owned by a major hotel chain and both offer free breakfast. The lobby is by far the nicest out of any hotel I have stayed in for it's price range. There is a huge flatscreen located to the side of the front desk near the elevators that continually shows news and weather updates. This is great for a quick glance on the way out to see how the weather is going to be. This is by far the best free breakfast I have had. They have multiple options available, and they are not just cereal. They have the ability to make waffles, something that seems standard now in a free hotel breakfast. I was shocked to see they also offered those microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. They had 5 different varieties to choose from, so if you choose one of every day of the week. They also had an assortment of fruits and yogurt. My favorite by far was the prepackaged fruit. They had Del-Monte grapefruit with no sugar added, which means minimal sugar. I am a huge grapefruit fan so I approved! Next, hallways leading to the rooms are nice as well. They do not have the same boring carpet that every hotel has. I specifically remember the black and florescent green carpet. When you remember carpet, the hotel must have been impressive. The room itself was pretty standard I feel. They had nice 32in LG flatscreens in every room. One thing many hotels surprisingly don't offer is high definition channels for all of those nice TV's they have. The Fairfield Inn is the exception. I was shocked, yet again! (See the common theme?) This hotel won me over when I went to check the bathroom and notice the shower was the size of a normal bathtub. Again, shocked! The shower had a large glass door too, which really gave it a futuristic look. The only drawback was the "U" shaped handle on the outside was broke on the top. (another reason to justify a non 5-star rating) The bathroom countertops were completely granite. Another shock was the Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. Name brand toiletries in this type of hotel was completely unexpected. Clearly one of the best features of this hotel was the location in relation to the Notre Dame campus. I am not a fan, but it was pretty cool to see the stadium across the street out of my window. Also, right next to the hotel is Eddy Street commons with a few bar and dining options. Overall, this hotel was great. If you are going to be there for an extended period of time, get the long-stay studio. The fridge and microwave are worth it!

Great location just across the street from University of Notre Dame (you can see the football stadium from the motel and walk over there). There is also a mixed-use, retail/residential development next door (some stores open...others still in the process of opening), which is handy if you want to grab some quick take-out burgers, pizza, or tacos. This development also has a nice Notre Dame bookstore with a small coffee shop...so you can walk over and pick up a T-shirt or ice tea. We booked one of the small suites, which had a nice little sitting area with a sofa bed, chair, and flat-screen television. There was a second flat-screen TV in the sleeping area. Other nice amenities included free wireless Internet ($5 per day for higher speed wireless, although the free wireless worked just fine for us), free parking, and a decent breakfast with the room. The common areas were attractive, spacious, and had wireless access as well. The room decor was sleek and modern--a good bit nicer than your standard chain motel decor. The pool was a bit small, but I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to schlep through the lobby in my swimsuit to get to it. This motel is right on a main road, but it was surprisingly quiet in the room. Traffic noise was not an issue...and we really heard very little of the heavy rain and thunderstorms they had in the area during our stay.
