Absolutely disgusting signs of BEDBUGS (blood dots of the sheet edges & corners, broken lamp, peeling bathtub & years of stale cigarette smoke smell Very rude & aggressive female manager. We didn't stay there after seeing the room & the manager refused a refund. The rooms are passable at best, but the shower only has 2 settings, boiling hot or freezing cold. Beyond that, they're old and a little dirty, and the outlets are so loose that devices do not consistently charge. If you stay here, avoid the free breakfast. The food is disgusting, and the variety is limited. The Inn also does not heavily enforce its no-smoking policy, as multiple times throughout our 3 day stay, people smoked within 15 feet of the air units of the rooms. Overall, if you're staying in Goshen, you're better off at one of the other nearby hotels, as they are all significantly nicer. read more

Small town nice hotel. Clean and the staff is pleasant. Breakfast starts at 4:30 am so if you stay out late you can get a before sleep snack and still have breakfast in the morning. The pillows weren't great and even kind of awful. Just stack them up and you should be good to go. read more

I used Priceline Name Your Own Price to book this hotel. I wanted a 2.5 star hotel or higher in the Goshen area. We stayed at this hotel this past weekend. It definitely did the job. We didn't really have any complaints for it as a place to stay. Rooms were clean, large TV, fridge/freezer & microwave included. Continental breakfast provided. Wifi internet was good. My issue is not with the hotel itself. If you want to stay at a Best Western which, in my opinion, is a step below Hampton Inns, Holiday Inns, Fairfield Inn, etc...Then I would highly recommend this hotel for you. My issue is with the star rating of this hotel. While it didn't have major issues, it was rated 2.5 stars along with a HAMPTON INN & HOLIDAY INN down the street. I expected to get a hotel similar to those chains. Those hotels have a large lobby, very new and updated, everything is indoors, ice machines just down the halls, rooms are totally spotless and as new as can be, most have a fitness center, pool & hot tub, etc. Best Western Inns will never be at that level, no matter how nice. The​ lobby was VERY small, your room door opens to the outside, you have to walk outside to get to the lobby or to get ice and there is no pool, no fitness center, it just doesn't feel as cozy and comfy. The outside of the building is slightly run down. If compared to other Best Westerns I would give this hotel a 5 out of 5, but compared to other 2.5 star hotels I don't even think it is average. read more

Stayed here for business and really enjoyed myself. I've had some bad experiences in the past with Best Westerns, but this one was great! Huge tv in the room, clean rooms, and a breakfast buffet that opens at 4am! This hotel knows what its clients are looking for and serves them well. I will defiantly be returning next time I'm in the area! read more

This Best Western is individually owned, and it is apparent that the proprietor cares about his property. I can only judge by my room and experience, but this is what I can infer. The room was very clean. The linens were all new. Didn't find any threadbare items. Furniture was nice. WiFi is available. Large television too. Basically, you have all of the same room amenities that you'd have at the Hampton Inn in downtown Chicago where I stayed last week. Sure, the building is old, but that doesn't mean it has to be lacking. I believe the owner is trying to provide the best he can possibly do for his clients. I did see the photo of the bug from another post. That's some kind of weevil or common garden bug and not the dreaded bed bug. I always look for evidence of those and didn't find any in my room. The price was around $97, but that appears to be market for this area and level of hotel. The other post complaining about cost doesn't appear to understand basic economics. If you want to stay at a Ritz-Carlton, then you don't need to come to Goshen. However, this Best Western is perfectly acceptable considering the available market. I gave a 4 star review considering the above. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I'll start by saying this place to be in the middle of much needed repair and updating. I stayed in room 117 and I'm hoping this room has not been updated as of yet. Front desk was friendly during check in. When I walked into my room it had a strong odor of old carpet (mildew or musty carpet.) there was a stain on the carpet and the room definitely needed some updating and work. The TV was surprisingly large and nice. The inside of the toilet had a dirty mark at the water fill lane as if the inside of the toilet has not been cleaned in some time. The bathtub was in much need of being replaced or refinished. I put a towel in the tub to stand on because I felt dirty. The wall in the shower had dirty hand print stains on it too. Overall I just felt dirty in the room. I only gave 2 stars because of front desk. I normally always stay at Hampton Inn or better but since my company gets a special rate here I tried it. Family values. Big, clean, well maintained rooms with attention to detail that has long been lost at most places. One of the first hotels/motels I have been in in years that still had the sanitized strip on the toilet. Very nice touch!!! Round wrapped soaps added to the yesteryear touch. Moved by the owner's note on the desk. Breakfast was tasty and span 7 hours to allow all to enjoy. Check in and out process was friendly and caring. Large parking lot. Staff is attentive and people oriented. This place possess many lost arts of days gone by. Glad I took a detour to visit and would do so again. Highly impressed! read more

I stayed here with my parents and my younger sister while visiting Amish country. This hotel was a great place to stay. The staff was nice and they genuinely wanted to make sure that our stay there was a good one. We were in a pet friendly/non-smoking room and it was a very nice room. It was clean and comfortable and you couldn't even tell that it was a room that was frequented by pets. The manager of the hotel was nice and he was also knowledgeable about the area and gave us great tips on places to go and things to see in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel and I would definitely stay here again. I definitely recommend this hotel. There was only one negative and that was that the breakfast could've been a little better, but all in all it was a very nice place to stay! read more

Found a bug in my room by my bed and because I flushed it down the toilet and didn't show the front desk they wouldn't refund my money and the lady at the front desk was so rude to me ..there were cob webs in the corners on the ceilings, the room smells weird and the train that has been coming threw blowing its horn all night long is very irritating..I'm uncomfortable and not happy...I will never come back to this place..$204 for 2 nights not worth it ...picture attached read more

I really do not know how this hotel can get a five star rating. The room was a neat, clean, and large, however the decor looked like it was from back in the 50s. The bathroom has the old low counter. The wallpaper had smudges on it and it looked like mold above the tub. The bathroom products are not what you would expect from a five-star hotel you are given one small shampoo for two people and two tiny puny bars of soap. The room definitely does not give you a warm and fuzzy hey this is a fantastic hotel feeling. The office seemed old and dingy and crowded, not like you would expect at a five-star hotel. Having read the reviews we expected a fantastic Hotel and an exceptional room. We were definitely disappointed. This is a very standard Hotel and does not warrant a five star rating. As for the price of $125 we have stayed at much much better hotels. read more

We were in Goshen for a wedding and stayed at Best Western. Sara and Scott were so nice and very accommodating. We had a chance to speak with Sara about local restaurants and places to visit. She was so sweet. It was my first time in Goshen but if I come back to visit I would stay here again. We are having our RV remodeled and needed a place to stay. We also have a dog. Searching found us this little gem. And they take dogs without charging you extra$$. People on the phone were great. Checking in was fast and the staff are amazing. Here for 4 days. We've had a hot breakfast with just about everything. From eggs to ham and sausage plus biscuits n gravy. Along with the usual cereal and muffins. Oh my gosh. Oh and great coffee. In the afternoon there is fresh popped popcorn. But the best part is how clean our room was. And all the little extras. Soaps,shampoos and lotion. And yes the bathroom had the sanitary paper strip on the toilet! Stuff I remember as a kid in the hotels. I will definitely tell anyone who's in this area to stay here. Wish we'd found it earlier before staying at a extended stay type place where the floors were so dirty you couldn't walk barefoot. A BIG THANK YOU to the management of this Best Western. Where the name Best really means it. The outside is being remodeled, but don't let the look keep you from staying here. One more thing, Dairy Queen is right next door!! read more

terrible place to stay. im a disabled veteran and the woman who said she was the owner said my assistance dog was not welcome because of the size of my dog as well as refering my dog as a emotional support dog not a real assistance dog. her son she claimed said i was rude when i was not at all rude he was about 18 years old and acted like he was a military drill instructor to me. i told her i was going to complain and her exact words to me were you call corporate right in front of me right now so i can hear what you say to them. she was a total nut job because she thought her place was the only place in goshen indiana that allowed dogs. as i walked away from her i said nothing and she yelled get off the hotel property. i went to another hotel down the street they were glad to have me and my dog and the place was nicer and lower price. these people who own the best western are very rude and treat disabled vets badly. ill never stay at any best western anywhere again. avoid this place go to any other hotel in town. read more
