This is reason enough to stay there! Rooms were good sized and The pool area has a beautiful view of the city and you can even see Notre Dame! But the area itself needs updating. My nieces and nephews had the best time playing! Overall this hotel needs some attention!

1/5 I do not…read morerecommend this hotel. From the moment we walked into our room, we were hit with an overpowering smell of curry. It was intense and made the space feel unclean right off the bat. The room itself was in very poor condition: * The walls were visibly stained, including marks that looked like they hadn't been cleaned or painted over in ages. * Mirrors were smudged and dirty, suggesting no attention to detail in cleaning. * Every blanket and sheet had noticeable stains, which was incredibly off-putting and unsanitary. (I've attached photos to show how bad it was.) * The floors were clearly not swept, vacuumed, or mopped--there was debris and dirt in every corner. The bathroom was worse: * There was a dark mold ring inside the toilet bowl. * The wall behind the toilet had visible hairs, which was absolutely disgusting. * The bathroom floor looked filthy, and there was no way I felt comfortable walking barefoot in there. Immediately after checking in I requested new blankets and mentioned the state of the room, 15min later we decided we couldn't stay here. They wouldn't give us our money back because we had been checked into the room for 20min. Spent that 20min trying to figure out if we could even find another hotel. I can't believe I spend any amount of money at this place. We would have been better off camping This is not what you expect from a hotel in this price range. I strongly urge Wyndham to inspect this property and bring it up to standard. Until then, I suggest travelers look elsewhere.

Good Value Hotel in the South Bend Airport Area…read more I found this Hotel on my IHG app while looking for Hotels in the area. I was in the South Bend area for business and looking for a Hotel close to New Carlyle. The price for a one night was what closed the deal. This is a budget-friendly hotel with large spacious clean rooms. There is no 'breakfast' at the hotel but they have vending machines and many restaurants close by. I found a nice sized kitchen area, a large desk/work area, a large comfy queen bed, and a large bathroom inside my room. Overall my stay was good, but the rooms could use a touch of modernization. The rooms lack USB ports but they have electrical outlets around the room, so I was able to charge most of my devices. The Wifi connection was strong and I was able to connect through a firewall to my company server to check emails and update my CRM. I did find streaming was okay as well as I went online for Netflix and Amazon Prime and have no buffering issues. I would have given this property 4 stars but cleanliness was an issue. I found dirty smudges on the entrance door, cup ring stains on the nightstand by the bed and hair in the drain in my shower (yech!!). Aside from that, the bathroom was large and relatively clean with plenty of towels and full shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. The Fitness room had enough equipment for a basic workout. It had cardio machines and free weights as well as some other accessories. I got in a good 45-minute workout with weights and the cardio machine and also did some stretching (ROMWOD) on the only supplied exercise mat. Would I stay here again...yes, as the price is right but cleanliness needs to be improved and I would like to see a touch of modernization with USB and maybe USB-C ports in the work area and the nightstands.

I love the Hilton chat app where you can converse with the Front Desk prior to arrival. Three days before arrival, I sent a text and asked if a complimentary upgrade was available. I was informed to contact the hotel again on the day of check in. I did that and I was excited to receive a text stating I was upgraded to the Presidential Suite!! However, about an hour later I was told my upgrade was to a Junior King Suite. (The Presidential Suite was still a few hours away from the final cleaning when I checked in.) Although slightly disappointed, I found the room to be spacious and clean, with a nice view of the river. I want to give a special shout out to the Front Desk staff, especially Alieza when I checked in and Centuria when I checked out. Both were friendly, professional and helpful. I recommended that the cleaning staff make sure the coffee area in the room is properly stocked as I had only one regular coffee packet and one of the creamers was probably there for a while as tiny, white flecks appeared in my coffee when I poured it in. No biggie as it wasn't spoiled, just probably past its "best by" date. Centuria took a note of this suggestion and said she would relay it to management. She thanked me for my input. If you are visiting the downtown area of South Bend or planning a Notre Dame experience, I would say this is a nice hotel for your stay. Parking is reasonable with easy access to the hotel entrance. Be sure to take your room key with you to enter and leave the parking area with your vehicle. I was also given a QR code on a piece of paper, but that did not work. Not sure the digital key I used for my room works for the parking area, so I was glad I had a regular room key card. You might want to check that if you are used to using a digital key exclusively.

We stayed in one of their gorgeous renovated Notre Dame themed rooms which are super cool. The breakfast was pretty good and they had bacon which we never get at any hotel we stay in (we stay in many hotels across many states every year for dog events). You can also make your own waffles. They have free coffee, juice, etc. as well. We loved everything about this hotel except I felt the beds were hard and the DOG FEE is astronomical. For only 1 night the dog fee was $80 ($75+$5 tax) and I had to sign a form stating dogs were NOT allowed on any furniture OR on the beds. I don't allow the dogs on the couches and chairs anyway but the beds? What exactly is the $80 fee for then? A few dog hairs on the floor is all there was when we left. We had to bring the dog crates up for them to sleep in all night. We will not be returning if we have dogs with us. If you're going to charge $80 for a 1 night dog fee, at least you can allow them to sleep on top of the bed. Otherwise, the rooms are super cute decorated with the Notre Dame theme and it's right across the street from the University.
