This is definitely a 2 star hotel! Room is small with no ventilation. It's humid in the room even if you only shower 1x. The toilet is pointed at the beds so zero privacy. They do not service your room. We paid $185 per night for this dump! Breakfast was fine. Jamie who works in the breakfast room was very helpful and kept everything clean. No real closet just a drape over the wall. Mold on the ceiling. TV did not work but they were helpful in fixing the problem. So basically the rooms suck but the staff is very good! Breakfast is fine

The bathroom was filthy. I wiped down all surfaces when we arrived.

We were told our room wasn't ready when we tried to check in. We waited in the lobby for over an hour while we noticed others checking in. When we asked, the reason given was that they forgot about us. Then they put us in a room that was filthy. No discounts were offered for not having a clean room available.

Pretty much what i expected staying here. Good parking. The staff was helpful and friendly. My room was cleaned and sanitized good based in n the sticker. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast is a grab a bag and go option now. The offer you a coffee. I would stay here again anytime.

We got snowed in here in the storm of 2009, December. The staff has been extremely accommodating. They served their breakfast over an hour past the time that was posted because people were stuck in the snow, some overnight. They also have a microwave in the breakfast area for customers to use. I was told that some staff slept here at the inn to help customers. They were all very polite and pleasing. We asked to extend our stay 2 days and it was no problem at all. This hotel is very clean and kept nice for it's customers. There is a "Chili's" very nearby, as well as other food places and a grocery store. There is also a group of shopping centers and a gas station right here as well. They have an outdoor pool and in-room wi-fi. Flat screen TVs in the rooms, desks with great lighting, plenty of electrical outlets, and coffee makers in the rooms. They also have a computer and printer in the lobby for customers to use for 30 min. intervals to print out itineraries, etc. After all of that, they are very close to many historical tourist places, including Monticello. If you fly, they are also very close to the airport (Which they have an airport shuttle for too!). There is a movie theater very close. They also gave you anything that you could ask for in a hotel, be it extra towels, amenities, etc. Way to go Hampton Inn on India in Charlottesville and all of your employees for making a difficult travel situation bearable. I will definitely be back!

After a few turns, we located it across the street from another similar hotel. It was close to, but before, check-in time. We were allowed to proceed up to the room anyway. This is one of the larger Homewood Suites I've stayed at. Most of them seem to be roughly the same size, though layouts differ. This one seemed about 50% bigger than usual. The parking lot was large also. They still had a masks-in-public-spaces policy (maybe due to local / state governments?) but it was only semi-observed. To their credit, breakfast seemed to be back to pre-pandemic normal - it was a buffet with most of what passed for regular items circa early 2020. I'd gotten accustomed to reduced selections over the past 18 months, but it was heartening to see this. We were only there one night, so we only enjoyed breakfast on Wednesday. Check in and check out were handled quickly. We had no issues with the room. Despite being adjacent to the elevator area, the room was quiet. The property was within a 10-minute drive of the University campus also. Restaurants and grocery stores were within walking distance, if needed. I'd gladly stay here again.

Breakfast was decent, with a standard fare of eggs, sausage (regular and turkey), bacon, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, and a pancake machine. The best breakfast item was the WARM cinnamon rolls (not the healthiest, but had that nostalgic Cinnbons-at-the mall vibe). Margie the chef was very friendly. There was coffee all day and they had seasonal hot cocoa too. The rooms were new and clean and I liked that the cleaning staff came every day (many places don't even take out your trash anymore). We had a lovely mountain view from our double queen suit on the backside of the hotel. It was quite pricey for a Holiday Inn (~$400/night), but the great service helped me overlook that. While the price would deter me from staying here again, I would come back in a heartbeat for a lower rate.

She put a piece of paper on the desk first without explaining anything. I asked for towels and the customer service lady became hostile. I repeatedly asked for towels, she was very aggressive asking how many? I said the standard amount for a stay. She again asked How Many?? I received my towels, headed to my room. I saw a large dog on a leash. I asked the man did this hotel allow pets he said yes. I asked if it was a service animal, he said no. He then said I am staying next door to your room. I am severely allergic to dogs. The IHG App states that they do not allow pets. I went back to the front desk. The same customer service lady became hostile again. She refused to provide her Managers information. I asked for the Corporate IHG phone number, she told me to look it up myself. It was a horrible experience! I do not recommend this hotel! The General Manager never contacted me. After repeated attempts to contact her. A potential great visit ruined by a rude, untrained and hostile front line customer service representative. A management team with absolutely no accountability. I suggest the management team view their cameras to see how this front line customer service representative treats customers in their absence.

I haven't stayed at many places that feel more like a five-star resort than this one. Driving up to the property felt like being in a car commercial, rolling hills, gorgeous scenery, and impeccable service waiting the moment we arrived. Check-in was seamless. We stayed in one of the rooms in the new wing, which was absolutely stunning. In 2017, the hotel completed a multi-year, $2 million renovation and expansion, and it shows in every detail. Our room overlooked the grounds and was part of the beautiful new addition. The room itself was spacious and elegant, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a cozy nook perfect for reading or relaxing. The bathroom was equally luxurious and practically begged for a long shower. Waiting for us in the room was a handwritten note wishing us a wonderful mother-daughter trip, along with thoughtful gifts from the spa. Another nice touch: branded, reusable water bottles to use at the filling stations around the property. I loved this sustainability piece that doubles as a keepsake. During our stay, I walked the grounds, visited the spa, and toured the Southern Living Idea House which is on its ground, though honestly, this is the kind of hotel where simply staying on property feels like a vacation. Because we visited in winter, the pool was closed, but seeing it made me want to return in the spring. The fitness center was well appointed, the tennis court s and area were beautiful, and the championship golf course was gorgeous! I'm not a golfer, but I loved looking at this course from the mini windows and patios overlooking it! I'll share more about the spa in a separate review, but trust me, it is not to be missed. And the on-site restaurant, Marigold, is an absolute delight. Jean-Georges' effortless style comes through in both the ambiance and the food. We enjoyed two dinners and a brunch there, and I genuinely wish I could have eaten even more. Wow. Another standout perk is the fleet of BMWs available for guests to check out and explore the surrounding area. We chose to only venture out once, to Jefferson Vineyard, but there is plenty to explore in the greater Charlottesville area for those wanting more. In closing, this hotel is incredible! Perfectly styled and wonderfully relaxing. I will be thinking about it and my lovely time there for many years to come!

We wandered over to the bar with a baby in tow and asked if we could order dessert. Not only were we welcomed, we ended up having one of those unexpectedly delightful evenings that you remember long after the meal itself. The Texas sheet cake was delicious and almost comically enormous. We tried the housemade Amaro, and the evening's cocktail special -- a gorgeous riff on a margarita made with butterfly pea tea -- was fantastic. But the real standout was Randy behind the bar. He was warm, funny, kind and completely unfazed by the fact that our little group included a baby. He made us feel genuinely welcome and helped turn an ordinary after-dinner stop into a wonderful birthday celebration. Great food and drinks are easy enough to praise. Hospitality like that is rarer. I couldn't recommend Randy more highly -- and I'll remember this birthday evening in Charlottesville for a long time.

Yes, that would have worked, but I also would have missed the experience here. Being off season one cannot take in all the amenities like the pool, some of the outdoor activities, and just the ability to lounge or otherwise enjoy the surrounds while staying here. However, it still turned out to be a great experience. You need to pass through a double gate to get to the lobby. The first one would take you to the Trump Winery and the second one to the Estate itself. Yes, it is still a hotel, but it feels like a country club from start to finish. The place is small enough where they, for the most part, go off your name. Dinner reservation? Okay, here is your table. Done? There is no tab (or tip for that matter). Yes, you still need to pay for it, but it just goes on your room bill seamlessly. Want something? Just ask. From the tiny two-seat bar to anything else, service is pretty personal here. For dinner the ESTATE SALAD - Arcadian green mix topped with tomato, watermelon radish, goat cheese and golden beets dressed with Trump Blanc de Blanc vinaigrette, was amazing. My main of DUCK - Pan roasted medium-rare duck breast with cherry port wine sauce, honey glazed rainbow carrots, wild rice pilaf with estate grown herbs, was the best duck I have had in a very long time. Plus, having a flight of Trump wine (white in this case) gave me a preview of the winery I would get to tomorrow. The Viognier I found to be the surprise interest out of the four I tried.

When we finally decided on this hotel, mainly because it was halfway to our final destination of Pennsylvania, and it looked quite interesting, I had trouble booking through their webpage. Maybe you can blame it on me? I just couldn't quite get the system to accept the "check in--checkout" dates. So I gave them a call and booked through a representative located in Las Vegas Vegas. Everything went smoothly. She was very friendly and accommodating. We actually loved the curvy roads leading up to the winery and hotel. That portion of the trip would've been better in our roadster for sure! We were checked in by a friendly gentleman named Thomas. He gave us a room next to the outdoor pool. Finishings kind of reminded us a little bit of the accommodations. It was peacefully decorated, and mostly comfortable except for the couch. We were only using it to lounge in and something more comfortable would have been desirable. I took advantage of the dry sauna and hot tub, which was a short walk across the parking lot. We tried to take advantage of the grounds by walking around the small lake and through the fields. If they were in a dedicated walking trails, we didn't find them! We took a tour of the main house and enjoyed our French inspired continental breakfast, though croissants would've been a nice touch! The vistas from the winery and the hotel are quite spectacular! If you're looking for boutique or personalized lodging with beautiful surroundings, this may work for you!
