This was one of the better parts of our visit to Vermont. Now this hotel is going through some renovations on the exterior of the building, which I think will be great once completed. The lobby of the hotel is nice and they have a really good section for the breakfast each morning. The food selection for breakfast is what any typical hotel would have which works for most people. Let's get into the room. Is it the most modern, fanciest room I have ever seen? No. But, is it clean, quiet, and overall a good room? Yes! The room still has that older feel to it which is okay because there was plenty of room for the two of us staying there. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were a little too squishy for my liking. Pillows are always hit or miss when you travel though. There was a mini fridge for our food, and even a microwave. The bathroom was pretty standard. The only downfall from the bathroom was that the shower water pressure was a little iffy. It seemed to hit right next to the handle bar in the shower which made it a little tight in there trying to not hit the bar. But otherwise, the bathroom itself was pretty good. This hotel compared to some of the other ones in the area stood out above the rest in quality and if we ever go back to Brattleboro, we will definitely stay here again. (They might even be adding EV car charging so that would be a huge plus!) read more

The price of the room was right and the bed was very comfortable. Had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. The attendant said the pool heater was not working, but it was a perfect temp. The hot tub didn't bubble but it felt good. It was strange because there was no way to turn it on. Got free cookies at check in and a very good breakfast. I'd stay here again. read more

We continue to enjoy generally good stays at this moderately priced motel, though our most recent visit was a bit disappointing. We were in a first floor room which seemed to carry over a lot of noise from above us and next to us. The noise subsided by 10pm, but it was annoying prior to then. On the plus side, the bedding was very comfy, the AC worked flawlessly, and our room was very clean. The front desk clerk was polite and helpful and got us cookies on demand! Sadly their nice pool was closed for renovation during our stay. The free breakfast was decent but hardly exceptional; good crispy bacon, poor tasting sausage. I sustained an injury that prevented me from taking my trip with my son. I hoped to reschedule but... the hotel's policy is that if you try to cancel after the allowed time (which I wasn't able to) you pay for the night. So I called the hotel directly . I explained my situation. I spoke to Jasmine. She happens to be the most un-empathetic and rudest person I've ever had the misfortune of speaking to. I was polite, never raised my voice and because I was trying to ask her a question and she "felt I was interrupting her , she hung up on me. Hilton corporate couldn't help . They tried to speak to the hotel directly for me but Jasmine stuck again and told them they couldn't speak to the manager. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

Please note: this is nothing against the staff or hotel in particular it's all structural issues Rooms are pretty standard for a Hampton inn. Everything is clean and the people are friendly. They even hooked me up with my rewards points since I couldn't find my account number when I booked the room. As always, great service from the Hilton family of hotels. So why three stars? Sweet Jesus. This is the single loudest hotel I've ever been in. Kids running in the hall sound like they're in your room with you (I have a 9 year old so I get that they're just going to randomly sprint down halls. That's not really a gripe). People in the adjacent room having normal volume conversations are fully audible--i could hear both sides of a phone conversation while in the bathroom. I'm pretty certain the people upstairs were training circus elephants or something because that's the only logical explanation I can think of for that racket. The road noise was also really excessive--its Brattleboro. How much traffic could there possibly be? Stay here and you can count cars instead of sheep. It's comfortable and had some of the few rooms left at last minute so I really can't complain (much). I chose this hotel for a work trip because of the hot tub. After I checked in, I saw a sign saying it was broken and I complained to the girl at the front desk who said there was nothing she could do. I decided to suck it up and just take a hot bath in my room. When I got to my room there wasn't even a tub. I called to the front desk, who said they couldn't change my room. I immediately contacted Hilton corporate to see if they could help me. They were rude, completely unhelpful, and couldn't care less that I was upset. Also this is a work trip and the internet in the room doesn't work. I paid almost $400 to have to leave here at 8pm and look for somewhere with public internet and I can't take a hot tub or bath. I am pissed. I canceled the room for tomorrow night- luckily it was a seperate reservation. Will not be staying at another Hilton again. They told me to call the manager tomorrow. This probably one of the best places to stay while on your ski/snowboard trip. Decent complimentary breakfast with hot food, waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels, fruits, and juice. Room was ok and clean At check in the clerk said we still had to wear masks even though the mask mandate in the county and Vermont had been lifted. I asked "Even if you had been vaccinated? His response was "Well, you can tell me you're from the moon, doesn't mean I have to believe you!" I asked him if Hilton assumed that all their guests are "Liars"? He said Yes, we assume all our guests lie" as a " Diamond Member" my loyalty will be elsewhere with a company who doesn't assume their guests lie! Lock on inside was busted and not working. Terrible stay. I can say it looks better than the quality inn next door which appears abandoned and occupied by homeless. Our room was not a king as booked, we did not complain. Went to bed at 9 pm. At 10 pm there is a ton of noise at our door, i waited for it to go away. It did not. The noise was actually coming from our door not neighboring door i has had thought. I got up and peeked out the keyhole, there was a guy and his kids trying to get in. I told him to beat it. Still no complaint from me... BUT then the phone rings and it's the front desk. She wants me to explain why I'm in this room, then she wanted me to stay in line while she talks to herself and try's to figure it out. What an idiot. Of course this may not happen to you, you can roll dice and might get an ok stay here, and the homeless crack smokers from the quality inn may leave your car alone, or you can try someplace else. read more

Stayed here for a few hours just for a place to sleep. Arrived around 11:30pm and checked out around 6:30am-7am. Didn't even use the towels in the bathroom. I was charged a $250 smoking fee when there was no smoking. When I called to ask about this charge, I was yelled at by a manager/front desk agent. The lady then screamed at me "I do not have time to deal with you." She then hung up when I asked for evidence photos for proof of smoking in the room saying "I do not need to show you anything". I am very disturb by this situation, as a Hilton member, I should not be yelled at by management over a general concern. I look forward to hearing from corporate about this situation to resolve this issue. read more

This is a strange little hotel. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere but there are some nice running areas near by. The hotel itself though is loud. I am not sure if it's because its older and just not constructed correctly, or there just happened to be a ton of noisy people there that night. There was no pantry and that is kind of a bummer as there are not a ton of shopping/dining areas real close. The staff was moderately friendly. Not super nice but acceptable. Gross. Omg. Filthy disgusting place. Avoid. Checked in. Get to room. Sofabed boys are supposed to sleep on is soaking wet through the cushions. We unfold the bed to find dirty wet sheets with brown stains and a soaked mattress. Does anyone check rooms? Literally every piece of furniture was grossly stained. Even at breakfast, the seats and couches were gross. See pictures here of room and breakfast area furniture examples. We all slept with layers of clothes on because the place felt so filthy. At breakfast tried to eat what was called an omelette. Was inedible. On plus side, desk clerk was friendly and gave us cots when we showed what the sofa bed was like. Booked this hotel via a 3rd party app. When we arrive we notice it looks closed but there's a sign outside. Reading the sign you are instructed to call first. Now in the midst of COVID-19, I understand. We call and are told the reservation has already been cancelled. She explained that they are only allowing business travelers to stay at the location. When asked how someone is supposed to know, she replied that they hope people are honest and they can look at you and tell. She confiI thank her for the information, but then I call back to find out if this is all of Hilton, hotels in VT or what. She shares it's just that location and I thanked her for the information. Country Weekend My visit to Brattleboro VT was a nice country visit. On arrival to Hampton Inn I was greeted by a smile at the reception desk, always a nice way to start a weekend. Check in was quick and easy with a brief orientation to the ins and outs of the hotel. My room was very inviting, clean and cozy and at a very comfortable temperature. The bed was comfortable and fresh and clean. Sleeping was easy, pulling the light blocking shades let in no light from outside and there was very little outside noise making for a nice quiet night's sleep. Morning brings with it a nice hot breakfast buffet. I had the scrambled eggs, which were fresh and hot, and the sausages. Bread and a toaster are available for toast and a selection of other toastables such as English muffins and bagels. A small bowl of hot oatmeal rounded up my breakfast choice as I retired to my room to enjoy the morning feast. Out for my day of adventure and excitement...ok I went for a scenic train ride and a visit to the Vermont Country store. On returning to my room for a brief respite I was greeted by a freshly cleaned room, always a nice way to end the day. Check out was just as smooth and easy as check in. Overall a decent place to stay, but with a couple of issues. The good-- clean, comfortable beds, everything works, only 5 minute drive from downtown brattleboro. Staff was professional, though not especially friendly. The bad-- the walls are thin; we could hear almost everything our neighbor said. The windows don't open, which I found unpleasant and possibly unsafe. Important note-- if you pay through a "third party" website such as Priceline, Orbitz, etc, be careful to check your credit card statement and make sure that "Hampton Inn" didn't double-bill you. This happened to us. I paid Priceline, then got charged again by the Hampton Inn. It took 3 calls to Hampton's customer service to get the issue resolved. We have stayed here twice this winter and used it as a home base for ski trips to different mountains in the area. I found the rooms to be clean and updated with nice features like mini fridge for food. The breakfast which is included with the stay was very acceptable and helped keep costs down for our trips. We loved having the pool to come back to after a day out on the slopes. While not fancy this hotel serves a great purpose in this location and we will be back! read more

We ended up staying here after the Quality Inn closed for some unknown reason the day we were checking in. We picked the area because it's an hour from Stratton and right off of 91. The hotel is clean, rooms are nice, and the staff was friendly. The pool looked great, but we didn't have a chance to check it out. Breakfast was surprisingly good. There's a good Chinese restaurant with a small bar right next door. The price was a little compared to some of the other options in the area, otherwise I would've given 5 stars. read more

Decent place to stay when coming in to visit with our son at nearby Landmark College. Good breakfast spread. Tiny but adequate work out facility and nice pool/spa tub area. Real cotton bedding that felt/smelled fresh and clean. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Landmark College is just 10 minutes away down the road. Quite possibly the worst night sleep ever! Check in was fine. Not really too friendly, but to be honest I was happy to settle in to my room. Parking was easy and the elevators were fast! I also loved that the rooms had a refrigerator and microwave, a great extra bonus! I will agree with other reviews that it's not so much the highway that's the problem, but rather the trucks across the street! You can hear them backing up and beeping all night! However, that wasn't the worst of it. Around 10:45pm a few of the rooms around me started being loud. It sounded like they were watching the Sunday night football game (I get it) but by 11:30pm it was a bit much so I called the front desk (my first time ever doing it!!!) They said they would take care of it. At 12am, nothing had changed, so I called again (ekkkk!) and he apologized and said he would be right up! Fantastic, I thought! Only to hear the phone ring next door. Really?! You know I can hear everything going on, why tell me you're coming up when you're really just calling them. But fine. Finally at 12:45am Id had enough and called for the third time. He apologized and said he would be right up. What do I hear 5 minutes later?! The phone ring! If this is the policy, to call and call and call all night, then fine, but don't tell me you will come up and take care of the problem when you won't. If you're looking for a good (or even decent) night sleep, please go elsewhere! read more

We were delighted with our stay at this hotel. We asked for and were given an upgrade to a Jacuzzi room.. The room was spacious and had a king sized bed. There was a Jacuzzi room that was just big enough to hold a cot for our daughter. You had a TV in both areas, a refrigerator and a microwave (popcorn included). The room was very clean and included a hot breakfast. We would stay there anytime with pleasure. read more

Just checked out after a 2 night stay. Wonderful staff & room! Breakfast was filling, with multiple choices. All day long hot, fresh coffee and later in the day, cookies! We were out most of the day, but when we came back to the hotel, we noticed a wonderful smell, and there was a crockpot of soup ( or something wonderful). The housekeeping staff was up cleaning the rooms, quickly and thoroughly, any other times I saw any staff member, they were working, not standing around.
