Easy, Breezy Hotel to stop in for a quick nights sleep. We made an 8+ hour trip for a hockey tournament and were exhausted. We were able to easily book a room for the night via the app. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but good enough for one night. The hotel itself was ok, could use some updating and TLC. However, staff were very kind and accommodating. I appreciated having the option of a grab and go breakfast so we could hit the road! Hotel is quite long in the tooth. Needs renovation. Carpeting in room and common areas well worn. Room furniture is threadbare, bathroom caulking is moldy, and USB ports inoperable. I'm back here again. They have done some renovations. It's still a nice hotel. And has great staff. Easy off the highway. Close to Tamarack. A wide assortment of restaurants are within a short walking distance. There are 2 gas stations across the street - one is big and has diesel. read more

This is a great well maintained place. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the amenities you would expect.

I prefer the Hilton brand to any other hotel chain. Not a big fan of the Hampton but it is a good clean hotel

The staff was super friendly and helpful from the time we walked in! The entrance is clean and inviting. We were given curtesy waters at check in which is always so nice. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was huge with a large glass shower loaded with quality soaps and comfy towels. After a great night's sleep in super comfy, clean and warm bed I had a killer workout in their state of the art gym that comes equipped with dumbells, cable machine as a a Peleton bike and treadmills. After my workout I chilled out in the pool for a moment. The water was warm and clean with not too much chlorine. I had a free breakfast before I left of eggs, toast and cereal. They also had oatmeal, coffee, juice, donuts, a waffle maker and countless other things. The hotel is conveniently located right near the highway. I will definitely stay here again. read more

Good place to stop for the night while traveling. The beds were super comfy. The check in staff were lovely. The hotel is quiet. Shower water was tepid so that was that. They do have a water bottle fill station which is great. I will say the morning breakfast lady needs to relax. I got yelled at for putting water in my bottle (obviously before I knew there was a fill station.) She did everything but slap my hand. She also stood over me to make sure I made my waffle correctly. (I'm a middle aged woman. I can make a waffle.) It's a great service but it was not welcoming. read more

Our second stay and they have maintained the same standards as last year. We were welcomed as "honors" guests and despite being fully booked, the clerk provided a nice room away from the elevator. We'll plan on this being our regular stop in our travels south. read more

Rooms were dated and small, though bed was comfortable. Service was good, and lobby was nice. TV didn't work right, no way to scroll through the channels. Our room was definitely clean when we arrived but nothing else in this hotel was. Also, we stayed for three nights and they never cleaned our room. Nothing like getting in after a long day to find the trash still hasn't been taken out and there's no clean towels. We picked this spot for the pool, which was gross. More dead bugs floating than I've ever seen and the entire pool should be cleaned. The gym does not get cleaned either. Next time I head to Fayetteville I'll commute back and forth from Lewisburg instead of staying here. read more

I travel for business constantly all over region. I've stayed at more Hamptons than o can count. While I'm never expecting a full service hotel or even usually a HGI, I do have some expectations. Like when I call about the toilet, the right answer to can someone come fix my toilet should not be "I'll try and find a plunge" Also thanks for knocking on my door; handing my the dirty plunger and then waking away only to leave it out side my door the entire stay. I was very impresses by this hotel. The parking lot was well lit with lots of close spots for easy access. As I checked in they gave us a welcome bag with some water, soda and snacks. Lobby was spacious with lots of seating as well as a fireplace and a big screen TV. Big plus that they have fresh coffee,tea and hot chocolate available all night long. Our room was newly renovated (according to check in) Very clean and spacious. Bathroom was very modern... love all the cute amenities(toothpaste,mouthwash and floss) Beds were comfy for a double... I prefer a queen or king. Breakfast was surprising good, fresh backed goods and other hot options. Yogurt, fruit and assorted cereal. We were offered another welcome bag for the road.. love it! read more

We had a problem with our room and called the front desk for help. We waited 2 hours then at 9:30 AM walked to front desk where they said that the maintenance man was on his lunch break. It's hard to find good help. We do not recommend this place. read more

Better get your breakfast early. Even though they say 6-10, they don't restock anything after 9:00. Then on checkout day, some guy is coming down the hall knocking on doors, telling everyone checkout is at 10:00. We rushed to get out and when I turned the cards in I asked about the 10:00 checkout, and was told that checkout wasn't until 12:00. I told them about the guy going door to door and she said, he's new and starts at 10:00. He's probably just trying to get his rooms done, I'll have to let him know. Very comfortable here, head and shoulders above our stay at the Wyndham Gardens in Crosslanes, WV on the way down. It's amazing what another $40 gets you. No good ol'boys in the dark parking lot yelling 'YOOHOO!!!!', no cooking smells in the hallways, an elevator... Seriously, this is a much nicer hotel than we expected in a busy tourist area. The front desk staff was very welcoming and guided us to a great place to eat dinner. The beds and pillows were good for me (firm bed, soft pillows) although RRR prefers firm pillows. The breakfast was comprehensive, cereals, bagels, muffins, make your own waffles, juice, fruit, hot scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, hot chocolate in packages. Nothing spectacular but all very edible. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! I have always had good experiences with Hampton Inns. So, when we were taking a long drive and needed a place to stop for the night I was hopeful that this Hampton Inn, just a roadside in a small town, selection would be a good fit. I'm a fan of Hampton Inns in general. If you been to one, they are almost identical down to the breakfast! Which I think it pretty awesome. I stayed here 3 days, 2 nights. They first morning the person in charge of breakfast had it together. As soon as something was low she was right there.. She was really sweet and we chatted up about their new paper straw controversy :) The next day, the person in charge just didn't meet the standard as the lady the day before which was a tad disappointing; many things were empty. Still outdated, watermark on the ceiling in the bathroom of room 104, curtain was torn at the bottom of the left side, pillows were flat, no smart tv's either, in the hallway was a pink stain that was just not appealing and going outside, through the emergency exit, were bugs and dirt all over the floor, ceilings, and corners. This being a hotel that's meant for "business people", this definitely does not meet the standard. The food was decent. read more

Has a nice workout room but was disappointed that the pool was only an outdoor one. The room was nice and very clean. The free breakfast isn't much to speak of but hey it was free so really you can't complain. And they have free popcorn at the counter when you check in if you want some as well. This hotel is clean and doesn't feel extremely old. The front desk staff were polite and quick with my check in. The room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Unfortunately I can hear every door close in the hall and every car horn as car doors are locked (room facing parking lot). The hotel is installing some new network lines in the rooms so during the day the noise resembles that of a dentist office however they do stop the noisy work by 5pm which seems acceptable. read more

After 9hrs of Griswalds like experience, finding this oasis was exactly what we needed! Extremely generous and accommodating late evening team welcomed our family with genuine hospitality. From the front door to the room, everything was spotless! A gentle scent was in the lobby offering a comfortable fist impression. Luggage carts were plentiful and great condition.  The room was more than I expected with vacuum marks on the carpet! Sheets were soft, pillows were king size and it all Lilly white, no smell of bleach and pleasantly neutral. Large screen television with plenty of viewing options. The room darkening shades helped us sleep in, longer than we wanted but exactly what we needed. In the morning we were cheerfully met in the lobby and check out was a snap! I just have to say that the staff here is great! Mary was working the evening we checked in and she was so helpful. Our group was visiting in the lobby area and she made sure we were well supplied with complimentary popcorn and cookies. She was also very helpful with information about local eateries. The room itself was very nice. The internet was slower than my 3g connection on my work cell phone. Breakfast, however, is abysmal. The food was poor quality, and the dining space is too small and riddled with extremely uncomfortable furniture. I was staying with family for a funeral and my elderly aunts and uncles had no choice but bar style seating (great for broken hips and people with canes) or low to the ground couch style seating that put the table on level with the chin. So stay here for the rooms, but EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. (Bob Evans next door or the Omlette Shoppe across the road are both very good) read more

Don't be fooled buy the exterior. Looks great from outside. But once you check in things change. The holiday inn of Beckley WV is full of gnats an flying insects. They have a lounge an bar that stays full of non guest who are there partying I ask the female Mgr to ask them to lower the noise I was told they were her friends an regulars I was there to sleep an rest before hitting the road. There was no rest it was loud an tough to sleep there. Trust me go somewhere else. It's very over priced I paid $129.00 the next time I was in that area I stayed at another hotel down the street for $89.00. I was very happy in a clean quiet hotel EVERYONE BEWARE. Rooms not clean flying insects in restaurant an room very noisy. Just my opinion but I spend about 150 nites a year in a hotel. The worst hotel experience I have ever had. The property seems a little dated by they're painting and sprucing it up a bit. The lobby was nice - fresh cookies and popcorn each night are a plus. Breakfast looked tasty although I didn't have it. The people were friendly. The room was adequate. I appreciated the fitness center with 3 treadmills, a recumbent bike, elliptical, and (mostly) dumbbells up to 50 pounds. I wasn't thrilled, though, that my room did not have a small refrigerator. I have dietary restrictions so I carry food with me and had to ice everything down in the sink a couple times a day. Travelers sometimes have left overs they'd like to keep cold and I really wish the Hampton would realize this like every other hotel. Overall it was a good stay but just that. read more

As far as Hampton Inn hotels go, this one is fairly typical. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is hot, but the hotel is usually pretty full. There are lots of people going north and south on the interstate. The staff is attentive to your needs, and they're always very friendly. I've been living out of hotels for the last year for my job and I have to say this is the worst one I've ever been to. Was staying in Beckley for 2 weeks and decided to book a room here. First night, decided to take a shower and did not have any hot water. Asked the front desk and was told it would be up and running in the next 2 days. Very unprofessional for not telling me when I first checked in that there would be no hot water. Come Friday, still no hot water and I went and asked again for an update, was told it wouldn't be ready till after I left which would be another week. I asked if I could switch hotels since I was paying for a utility that wasn't being provided. They called and booked me a room and the Tru, just down the street. I moved to the new hotel but realized I wasn't checked out of the Hampton and my reservation was still booked for another week there. I called and no one picked up, I even called the helpline on the Hilton app and they could get hold of them. The next morning I went to my new hotel's front desk and asked for their help. They called over and Hampton said I had to pay for the night that I wasn't in the room. I ended up driving over and was just met with unprofessionalism and no sympathy and one employee straight up sassed me. I ended up crying all the way back to the other hotel for how mean and complicated this process has been. Do not stay here. They are VERY unprofessional and the hotel is also rundown and gross. If you need to stay somewhere stay at Tru. The employees at the Tru where so helpful, kind, sympathetic even remembered my name and checked in on me. Hampton... do better. read more
