I've stayed here twice now and it'll be my go-to if I'm in the area. It's very clean and the staff is friendly. The coffee is good, breakfast is fine for a chain - honestly better than others I've had. It seems like overall its managed really well. I will say that motorcycle week is an unfortunate time to stay if you like sleeping in a quiet environment but that's obviously not the hotels fault. The cleanliness is the main factor for me, so I am glad to be able to trust that now after two stays. Highly recommend! read more

This was a great place to stay. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked perfectly. The breakfast was FREAKING AWESOME! The make your own waffles station was the bomb dot com. They have strawberry or vanilla options. Their wester omelettes were good. The kielbasa sausage was phenomenal, the breakfast potatoes l, the choice of bagels, toast, cereal and so much more was one of the bed breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Victoria checked me in, she was up there with Lisa. They are front desk rockstars, man they made the check in easy. They were super nice and friendly. Lisa gave me a list of places in the local area. The hotel is very nice, clean. I didn't get to enjoy it cause I was there for a wedding and just slept there pretty much. But the sleep was good, comfy beds and pillows. I was shocked that they didn't have the shower stuff in the shower like other Hiltons. I've gotten accustom to not bringing any body was or anything cause they usually have it. No big deal. The staff was rude as I was late to checking out but when I checked in as a Hilton member and said I'd like a late check out i guess I went unheard. Pros: Newer, clean, decently friendly folks up front. Cons: But... windows are totally sealed. Cleaning crew used some sort of oppressive scent to cover up who knows what and I never could air the place out. Management said they use some sort of corporate-approved sanitizer and Febreze. OUR STAY WAS IN JULY 2023 If I was able to give a "0" I would. My husband & I had a stove fire in our apartment. Since we had renters insurance, it covered hotel stays. Our insurance agent booked us a room that would have been till mid November. I told the front desk that if we had to be moved due to the room already booked, we would be fine. We first were booked on 1st floor, but with my heightened hearing, I asked for a room on another floor. My main requests were 1.) NOT be by the elevator and also NO ice machine Well, guess what??? Our room was 318, and the Ice Machine & Elevator was less than 10-12 feet from our room. We arrived and checked in at 8 44pm, and insurance paid over the $200 plus stay. Less than 4 hours till midnight. Both my husband and I were exhausted and just needed sleep. Hubby slept, but every time there was a ding, I knew someone was getting on or off the elevator. The Ice Maker was loud. I slept horrible, but I was too tired to complain. The front desk told me that the hotel was full. A total LIE!!! After day 3, there was no way I could handle people arguing during the night in the next room, Elevator making that horrible binging sound. Then, the icemacker filling up ice buckets more than the 1st night. Since we didn't have a kitchenette, we had to order out. We have stayed at so many Hilton Hotels over our 60 & 70 year old stays. I spoke to a Rose who was kind to us and would talk again. This is where things got really bad. After Night 4, my husband checked out. I called another hotel, and I found out it was owned by the same owner, and was told we were not welcome which threw me for a loop, i asked why and was told again that we could find another hotel and hung up. I called the hotel and spoke to a woman named Becky who IMHO is in the wrong type of work field who announced herself as the manager. Becky then said we "Trashed" the room, and photos were taken. "ARE YOU SERIOUS I ASKED? Wanted to see the report and photos I was spoken to in a manner I have never been spoken by any hotel Ever. I sent an email to the manager who replied back to me BELOW:: Quote: Copy & and Pasted - No part changed OR Edited in any way ************(************* Room 318 required additional deep cleaning and it was trashed blandly. We consider it damage to room compared to normal dirty room. We had to put room out of order for 2 days for special cleaning. You didn't get charge for it as we understand your situation. We don't save pictures beyond 7 days after you check out date. We didn't slander your name. We were in Tilton for a wedding nearby. Rose at the front desk was amazing as was the rest of the staff we encountered. Breakfast was very good. And after checking out, no less than 10 minutes later did we receive a call from Rose stating we left my wife's dress in the closet which saved us from a longer ride back or the expense to mail it. The room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable. We will be black and will recommend this hotel. read more

This is my second stay here at this hotel. While lovely the housekeeper whom attended to my room found it appropriate to say they smelled smoke in my room. Though I have some medical marijuana I don't smoke in the room. When I do smoke I smoke in my car. They attempted to charge me hundreds of dollars because their maid said she "smelt smoke" and they "had evidence" of smoking in the room. Yet they refuse to produce the evidence or even say what it was? We did NOT smoke in the room, we went to the nasty, buggy little smoking section ( no garden?). As a matter of fact we had one of the Front desk guys open the side door to let us in because the reader was broken. Then back out there at the crack of dawn with some coffee and computer, so if I was gonna smoke in the room, I would just have done it everytime. Especially since their smoking section is so dismally set up with a couple beat on, splintering wooden picnic tables and surrounded by long tick infested grass and trees. So attempting this fraudulent charge is even worse since I subjected myself to this dystopian nightmare to abide by no smoking rules and get a bogus charge ( and two ticks, separate occasions) on top of it. As a Gold Member, I thought that there was an appreciation, a sense of community if you will, it was completely unexpected to be treated like some drunken prom night kids who don't know when they are being screwed by the management. This place has a lot Of things done right, but the most important is not. Clean, new, BUT paper thin walls, and almost amplifying acoustics. I can hear every word my neighbors are saying. I will not be able to sleep tonight but just because of the sound of their TV alone . I stay in a lot of hotels, we're talking like 150 nights a year (I travel for work) and this hotel is the single worst insulated building I've ever stayed In. My mom and I stayed here twice -- the most recent one was in May 2014 when we went to see my dying nephew in Gilford. It was a super quick family emergency trip as we were there for only two days, but this hotel was quiet and had a great breakfast selection, despite it being a little crowded each morning. It's super close to a Dunkin' Donuts and a Starbucks. I was born in New Hampshire but grew up in Nevada, so I like both of their coffee equally. It's close to pretty much anything, really. read more

Beware, if you go in winter and there is snow coming...they didn't plow the lots. One swoop through but no clear spaces after two heavy snowfalls. In retrospect I should have refused to park in an uncleared space and left my car under the overhang but I didn't have the nerve and was oh so optimistic that things would be clear and not worse in the morning. In the end I was glad I had a shovel in my car because even a four wheel drive suv wasn't getting out over the knee high heap of plow sludge blocking me in. My husband and I love to stay at the Hampton Inn whenever we are visiting the Lakes Region. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast buffet is the perfect way to start your day. We especially love to visit with Deb who works hard to set up the breakfast buffet and keep it clean and well stocked. She takes great pride in her work and it shows! She is always very welcoming and helpful, and she has a lot of energy and positivity which are contagious. Stayed here recently for a wedding. Hotel room was clean, there were cookies and coffee in the lobby. Continental breakfast(waffles, oatmeal, cheese omelettes, bacon, pressed juices, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Walls were paper thin. I was awoken by the housekeeper in the next room banging cabinets and vacuuming the floor. I could also hear people going up and down the stairs(our room was right next to the stair case). The TV did not have a guide or a working guide. I couldn't see what shows were on or were coming up. I couldn't get info on the show I was watching. I was bummed they didn't have smart tv or Netflix option like Marriott hotels have. read more

Me and my husband travel a few times a year on vacation. This time we had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel while he finishes up work. The room was super clean, smelled nice, and had everything I needed... coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. Shower was spacious and nice. Variety was perfect for my makeup spot. Coffee in lobby is delicious!! Spacious lobby and the staff is so wonderful and just so kind. Mrs. Coot and I were in Tilton, NH for a friend's wedding. We opted to stay at the recently opened Hampton Inn & Suites in Tilton. I'm not normally a fan of the Hampton chain but my stay here might just change my mind to give them another chance. We were greeted at the front desk by a very pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly associate. The room was well appointed and clean. 9/30/11 Used this Hampton Inn for the New Hampshire Marathon in Newfound about 15 miles north of Tilton. The Hotel is very new and well maintained. Room was sealed with a sticker to show that no one entered after cleaning, remote was in a plastic bag, and overall room looked very clean. Very reasonably priced ($140 for a Friday night 2 queen beds). Complimentary breakfast was still served, but you had to order at a window. This one nice hotel at a good price. I was going to be in the Lakes Region and White Mountains for a few days visiting friends and working on a project, so I went for a cheap room at this hotel. I don't like to impose myself as an overnight guest with friends for more than one night, especially during the workweek. Upon arrival, they told me that I had been upgraded from a standard room to a suite for no extra charge, and since I was there for several days, the extra space turned out to be much appreciated. The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, and the cleaning service each day did a great job. I also used the hot tub and pool which were both really nice to have at the end of the day. It's also in a good location, convenient o the Lakes Region and the White Mountains, which plenty of things to do in the area. The price is also very reasonable, and is on level with some of the lower tier hotel chains. I will definitely be returning here in the future. read more

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I have been charged an extra fee for "extensive cleaning" due to smoking, after review it seems they do this too often! There was absolutely no smoking in the hotel but because a person may smell like smoke they will charge you! I have stayed in countless hotels, hotels that are much nicer and cleaner and never have had a problem like this. It makes no sense that there was "extensive" cleaning if there was no smoking done in the room. A customer should not be charged just because a person may have an odor attached to them. As stated on the phone, if i smelled like a dirty pet would i be charged for extra cleaning even though there was no pet in the room? Should i be charged if i have horrible body odor and sweat profusely? Should i be charged if i have smelly feet and left my shoes in the hotel room? There was no damage done to the room or even should have even left an odor. This hotel fills their pockets based on assumptions of someones habbits. So if you are a smoker or have been around a smoker or an odor BEWARE do NOT stay here. I will never stay at any hilton facility ever again and will suggest to anyone else to never deal with hilton again! read more

What I love about all Hampton Inn's is that they are all (to a certain extent) the same. The complimentary breakfast and WIFI, clean room and fresh sheets. This place had a decently sized jacuzzi which I of course utilized. Over all a nice place. However, this location lost a star for excessive noise. Typical morning breakfast offerings but slight better in that fresh cut fruit is offered. Very well maintained and very clean. This Hampton in is a nice hotel. We have been spoiled by the Hampton Inn at Moncton New Brunswick so this one seems a bit older but still very nice. The price was better than others we have stayed in and they have a very nice breakfast bar. They would have gotten 5 stars when you consider the lower price but they do not allow pets so I have to give them a 4 star rating instead. read more

I had to down rate this particular Hampton Inn just because it's so noisy! Road noise and noise from adjacent as well as upstairs rooms kept us up most of the night. We hadn't thought to ask for a quiet room, if there is one to be had here, because we've never encountered this much noise at a Hampton before. Perhaps it's because it's an older hotel that never got much soundproofing. Replacing the windows would probably help, as well. Otherwise, this Hampton is similar to others in that staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast that's included has a variety of mostly high carb dishes that will take the edge off your hunger in the morning. read more

My husband and I will never stay here ever again. 1.) Noisy. People whistling and yelling in the middle of the night. Generators switching on and off, vibrating the room all night long. 2.) Still noisy. People up at 5:45am banging around and talking at the top of their lungs in the hallway. Needless to say we got barely any sleep. 3.) Horrible, uncomfortable beds. What hotel (at $200/night) still has a spring mattress? 4.) When I complained at checkout the man stated there was nothing he could do because we purchased our stay on priceline. I've spent the last three Christmases here, and I have always found the rooms and facilities to be clean and accommodating.
