We understood that the dining experience was meant to be slow and enjoyable, but it took about 30 minutes just for her to take our drink order and another 20 minutes to receive those drinks. During that time, we had our menus closed and were clearly ready to order, but she never came back to take our food order. When I did order my drink, I also asked for a Caesar salad, which arrived before she ever took our meal order. When the food finally came out, only three of the four plates were brought to the table. Instead of letting us know the fourth plate wasn't ready, she walked away to help other tables, leaving one of us waiting. The final interaction was the most off-putting. When we were deciding whether or not to order dessert and said we didn't want any, she responded with "I figured" and immediately dropped off the check. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. I have nothing against this restaurant, the food was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely, but the service we received made the experience disappointing. Better attentiveness and professionalism from the server would make this an otherwise excellent restaurant.

There are better options (free too) at other hotels in Tilton. A/C did not function well in the room. Room was uncomfortably warm despite setting the thermostat to the coldest setting. Normally, would not have used the lowest setting, but a taped sign indicated you had to adjust the thermostat +/- 4 degrees to make it comfortable. I would have let the front desk know, but when I called at 7pm no one answered. I also tried to address it in person after addressing another issue, however, they seemed non-commital and unconcerned about the first issue so I figured they wouldn't care any more about the second. Overall, I would stay here again if it was between canceling my plans or staying here because it's very clean and well kept, but the front desk staff left a lot to be desired in terms of service. Wasn't expecting the 4 seasons, but basic attempts to satisfy the guest. Bottom line there are better options for slightly more money in the area.

The game room was locked up leaving a set of horse shoes outside for the only entertainment. Overall, the place sucked big time and was not worth 1/4 of the price. I have a question though, is there such a thing as a million thread count sheet or pillow case? Because I think this place has them, I have bad shoulders and this was the best sleep I had in years!! That's why I was able to get up early and watch the sunrise and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the porch prepared by the owner himself, thanks Al! The inn was cozy and charming, and Monty and Rebecca were gracious and attentive hosts. They take such pride in their inn, and it shows. The inn itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are charming and cozy (and some with spectacular views of the lake!), and the amenities throughout were ample. The sheets were divine and so soft; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The large living room downstairs was the perfect spot to relax by the stunning fireplace and play board games from their many options of games, puzzles, and magazines. There is a selection of coffee and tea in the dining room available any time, and every afternoon fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies are put out. They were delicious and we enjoyed quite a few! In the warmer months, there is a beautiful front porch overlooking the gazebo and waterfront area. The breakfast was fantastic and lovingly made. We were treated to a three-course breakfast in the dining room served by Monty with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First fruit, followed by a delicious pumpkin bread, followed by the main dish. At check-in, they asked about our dietary needs and preferences based on the upcoming menu and catered to our needs. It was excellent and we left breakfast stuffed! Monty was a truly kind and hospitable host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He was even so kind to leave out a few things to go since we departed early before breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend staying at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town or making a trip for a weekend of beautiful views and relaxation. Cozy inn, hospitable hosts, delicious breakfast, and a superb location right on the lake. We hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the porch and kayaking. A truly special inn!

The floor was sticky and the shower was orange, there was a very questionable grime build up on the little washcloth bar. There was no water pressure and the it smelled terrible. The fridge would not get cold enough to safely store any food. all of the caulking and grout in the bathroom were horrendous. Overall, the price for this was not worth it unless you're in a pinch. I wouldn't leave a bad review if it had cost $70 but it was more than double that for one night.
