We understood that the dining experience was meant to be slow and enjoyable, but it took about 30 minutes just for her to take our drink order and another 20 minutes to receive those drinks. During that time, we had our menus closed and were clearly ready to order, but she never came back to take our food order. When I did order my drink, I also asked for a Caesar salad, which arrived before she ever took our meal order. When the food finally came out, only three of the four plates were brought to the table. Instead of letting us know the fourth plate wasn't ready, she walked away to help other tables, leaving one of us waiting. The final interaction was the most off-putting. When we were deciding whether or not to order dessert and said we didn't want any, she responded with "I figured" and immediately dropped off the check. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. I have nothing against this restaurant, the food was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely, but the service we received made the experience disappointing. Better attentiveness and professionalism from the server would make this an otherwise excellent restaurant.

There are better options (free too) at other hotels in Tilton. A/C did not function well in the room. Room was uncomfortably warm despite setting the thermostat to the coldest setting. Normally, would not have used the lowest setting, but a taped sign indicated you had to adjust the thermostat +/- 4 degrees to make it comfortable. I would have let the front desk know, but when I called at 7pm no one answered. I also tried to address it in person after addressing another issue, however, they seemed non-commital and unconcerned about the first issue so I figured they wouldn't care any more about the second. Overall, I would stay here again if it was between canceling my plans or staying here because it's very clean and well kept, but the front desk staff left a lot to be desired in terms of service. Wasn't expecting the 4 seasons, but basic attempts to satisfy the guest. Bottom line there are better options for slightly more money in the area.

The coffee maker didn't work (not that I would have used it anyway), the pots & pans were filthy as well. We didn't shower the entire time there. The water pressure was non existent. The game room was locked up leaving a set of horse shoes outside for the only entertainment. Overall, the place sucked big time and was not worth 1/4 of the price. The owners had clearly given up on the place and should feel guilty taking anyone's money. Too bad, we stayed here 5-6 years ago with different owners it was great.

It is located only 15 minutes from Weir Beach which is the rally epicenter and Lake area. So you can enjoy a very clean (looks like a new property). The staff I dealt with were all great. They helped with local info and made sure everything was correct with my booking. I added on days to original reservation and even the the hotel was full, they made sure I wouldn't have to change rooms. I highly recommend if staying in the area.

Just had a spectacular weekend spent at the Lakehouse, what a great spot to relax…read more I especially loved sitting on the the huge farmers porch drinking my fresh brewed morning coffee and watching the sunrise while listening to the loons calling, I felt like I was in the movie " On Golden Pond" ! Then step inside where you find a very comfortable living room and the most beautiful stone fireplace I have ever seen! Most of the rooms have beautiful scenic views of the lake. I have a question though, is there such a thing as a million thread count sheet or pillow case? Because I think this place has them, I have bad shoulders and this was the best sleep I had in years!! That's why I was able to get up early and watch the sunrise and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the porch prepared by the owner himself, thanks Al! Last but definitely not least Al's wife Pamela is just the nicest person, making everyone feel as relaxed as if you were in your own home, she is full of ideas for all your local needs from dining to local recreation. The floor was sticky and the shower was orange, there was a very questionable grime build up on the little washcloth bar. There was no water pressure and the it smelled terrible. The fridge would not get cold enough to safely store any food. all of the caulking and grout in the bathroom were horrendous. Overall, the price for this was not worth it unless you're in a pinch. I wouldn't leave a bad review if it had cost $70 but it was more than double that for one night.
