My family stayed here, along with a traveling wrestling team. The hotel was was clean, with nice amenities. The breakfast was a great help before rushing to the tournament. Our room was comfortable and we slept well. The AC was easy to adjust, which was a plus. I really liked the lobby area, perfect for socializing or getting work done. The staff was friendly, and there are a variety of options for dining in the area. It is a convenient stop off of the highway. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Proof my wife was added on as an 'additional guest' in spite of the complaint that I did not by the front desk.

Upon arrival in Ocala on the 26th of June, my wife, service dog, and I planned to stay one night at the Hampton. While checking in, I registered my wife as an additional guest and informed the front desk of the presence of my service dog. Fast forward to June 8th and as I'm reviewing bills I see I've been charged for my service dog! I contact the Hampton and the person on the phone states she will notify the manager who will contact me the following day. The following day there was no answer so I called again asking for reasoning behind the pet fee to which I am told the manager will call me back. After hearing nothing I called this morning to get an answer and am told that I "did not tell the front desk about my 'guest' (my wife) and did not mention a dog being with me" both of which I did while registering on the first night. After hanging up I called Hilton customer care and spoke with an operator who confirmed my wife is listed and that I was charged for my service animal. It would seem reasonable that they would refund the $75 without a problem in order to keep a customer, but that is not the case. Not only has the manager failed to return my calls, but someone has added their own version of the truth concerning the registration of my wife. This location will not be revisited by my family, and anyone with a service animal - particularly a veteran such as myself - should refrain from staying here. Lastly, the initial room we were given (426) had dust in the AC vents so after a few days we were required to request a room change as my service animal was getting bumps throughout her body due to an allergic reaction. Moreover, there was white hair matted down throughout the rug in the room, indicating that it is used by people who own dogs. We greatly appreciated the kindness of the front desk in moving us into another room next to the one we were in after notifying them of our situation. So, we were placed in the room next door (424) where the bathroom light and TV were inoperable so we requested their on-site tech to come fix it the following day. I found this location to be convenient for the needs of my family, but next time I will drive 20-30 minutes and pay more at another location.

I have always been a fan of Hampton Inn, but this location didn't appeal to me. Check in was easy, as I had already picked our room through on-line check in. The lobby is inviting and the staff was friendly. Our room was dreary, and not comfortable. The pillows were uncomfortable for sleeping and the bedding was as well. The TV may have been the smallest TV I have ever seen in a hotel room. It was so far away from the bed, and since it was so small, it was hard to even watch. Our bathroom had peeling wallpaper, and mold and hair in the shower. None of this is typical of a Hampton Inn. The breakfast was nice, and very typical of what I have encountered in the past.

Stay at many Hilton properties - many of them Hampton Inns. Overall, this location is just like the others. That's what we like - consistancy. The one thing I have to comment about is the size of the TV in the room. It was like a 32". (See picture). With the cost of TVs today, they could really afford to spend a few dollars and upgrade these rooms.

This hotel is just ok.. It did seem awfully pricey for the area and what it offered, but I was tired and just wanted to get some sleep before started the long drive back up again. The front desk was very friendly and the shower was good. The best was comfy as well. There was a lot of noise from the outside that made it a little difficult to get to sleep.

Very nice hotel located at a busy exit off I-75 just north of the FL turnpike. Many food choices as well as fuel and light shopping. Modern new style Hampton Inn with nice rooms and wide hallways with decorative carpeting. Room HVAC is controlled by a modern wall thermostat. The bathrooms are large with walk-in showers and hand rails. The rooms are very clean with a very soft bed. There is a microwave and refrigerator in every room as well as coffee maker with all the desired products. The breakfast area when I stayed was well stocked and well taken care of. The eggs were the normal Hampton fake powered eggs (fake eggs) and there were round sausage patties available. Waffle grill was available as well. Cakes and bagels of different types were available. Oatmeal had the consistency that it should. Coffee was hot and creamer was available. Don't take all this for granted because this was one of the best stocked and clean breakfast areas for a Hampton Inn! They had 6 luggage carts available in the lobby. The pool area was very clean as well. I would rate this Hampton Inn in the top 10% of all the Hampton's I've stayed in.

Very nice, clean hotel. This was our girls night out staying place. It's right off the interstate so really easy to find and get too. The lounge area to the right when you walk in, is absolutely amazing looking. Huge ceiling, t.v.'s gorgeous pictures of horses. The room was extremely clean, and smelled clean. The beds were so comfortable. I get nervous with hotel bed due to having a bad back, but this for me was perfect. Did not wake up with pains like I do sometimes at hotels. The room had a big fridge (at least for a hotel room), a microwave, and a coffee maker in the room. Although the coffee maker was in the bathroom, which I found strange. The bathroom was really pretty, and roomy. You didn't feel like you were squished in a tiny bathroom. Oh and if you forget anything and I mean anything, they will have it at the front desk.

Very clean and comfortable. However, room is dated. They need to replace the old rug in rooms. Sticks to your feet! Wear socks.

Everything was great. My only negative comment is the hotel sits back from the main road and can be hard to find, especially in the dark.

Ask the Community - Hampton Inn & Suites Ocala - Belleview

Where can I eat in area? Is there a local restaurant that is good?

This exit has many many restaurants available. There is no shortage of restaurants, strip malls and big box stores. That's is one of many reasons this is a great place to stay. All within 1/2 mile.

This should actually be a Motel 6 and not allowed to carry the Hilton name. The carpets were filthy, there were cobwebs and what looked like grass clippings splayed on the curtain valance. No money has been spent on this property - clearly, and they're just milking it for every cent from the horse community. Cold/lukewarm shower with ZERO water pressure. It took me a good 5 minutes to get my shampoo rinsed out. A baby roach crawled out of the sink hole when I turned on water to brush my teeth. No amenities except a well worn packet that said "makeup remover" (LOL I'm not putting that on my face!!!) and the Hilton "Zero" refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that no one uses...unless they're desperate. I'm not expecting L'occitane, but I'm not touching that... The WORST PART that they don't tell you - you're feet from the interstate with a SECOND service road used by 18 wheelers racing through the night, mere steps away from where you're trying to sleep. This place was a nightmare. Breakfast included rotten bananas, and nothing looked clean or fresh. So, I went to Publix to buy breakfast. Filthy, no sleep, and twice the price of a beachfront Hilton...go ANYWHERE else.

The manager Susan Perkins denied my request. As a loyal Hilton customer, I have always appreciated the flexibility and understanding that the brand has shown its members. However, it is disheartening to learn that in this instance, over a charge of $234, there seems to be no room for flexibility. This decision seems to undermine the loyalty that Hilton has built with its customers over the years. Such rigidity can tarnish the Hilton brand and potentially erode customer loyalty, which I believe is far more valuable than the monetary amount in question.

1000% YES - this place is awesome! SO much better than every other hotel we've stayed at in…read moreFlorida. This hotel felt like and treated their guests like a true 5 star hotel. First....the grounds are beautiful, well maintained and vast. Upon arrival there's a choice of valet or self-park just out front. Before you can even get to the door someone has rushed to open it and greet you warmly. In fact, 1 guy was there at noon when we arrived and still there at 9pm. Even at 9pm he was still hustling, smiling and putting in just as much effort as he was many hrs earlier. The excellence of staff continued beyond the doormen. Every single staff member we encountered was equally engaged, acknowledged guests, was friendly and was genuinely competent at their job. SO refreshing!! We never saw any of the staff on their phones or busy talking with each other. The work ethic & polish this hotel expects from staff is obvious, appreciated & makes an impact on how we felt as guests. Upon entry, the lobby is gorgeous! Pristine, classy yet inviting. Loved the player piano & large fireplace. There were even some really lovely olive wood crosses available at the front desk, which was an especially nice touch over Easter. Often when a lobby is beautiful, the rooms are a let down. Not here! I didn't see any areas that were in need of attention. Our room felt incredibly clean - no missed corners, grimy spots, etc. It was immaculate and so welcoming...oh, and the room was really really big...and so comfortable. There was a large 2 door closet as well as a smaller closet for our child to use and appreciated having 3 suitcase holders that could fit into the closets so we didn't have to look at them in the room. The chairs in the room were actually comfortable to sit in and made sense with their location. Beds were wonderful and I might have to get 1 of their pillows as it was the first night in awhile that my neck hasn't hurt. Winning! The chocolates by the bedside were a fun treat, particularly the lemon truffle. The next key takeaway from this hotel is how clean it is everywhere. Already mentioned the lobby & rooms, but were out by the arena after the candy shop had closed and the person cleaning had all chairs completely off the floor, rug rolled up and outside and was cleaning like they wanted it to shine. My husband immediately noted that's a sign that someone actually taught the person how they wanted it cleaned rather than just asking them to clean. Big difference. Seriously - I could write a novel about this hotel/property and how great it was. Dog portraits line the walls and halls. There's a small patisserie (large one in the Manor, which you also need to explore), toy shop, bar, restaurant and shops to explore. You MUST stop at the patisserie - fresh, beautiful. We grabbed some items in a lovely box to take home as a gift. We also had breakfast at Stirrups and fully recommend dining here. It was wonderful and blew away all the "best" restaurants in Ocala. Our fruit platter was customizable, came with pink pineapple slices (!) and dragon fruit bits. The 3 egg omelet was the size of a 6 egg omelet and had more beautifully cooked bacon than one could hope. While filling our water glasses the pitcher dripped a couple times. Love that our server was right there with her towel to notice every detail. Beyond the really delicious food and outstanding service, we loved watching the horses warming up in the arena outside, looking around at the many dog portraits in the room and relaxing in the large leather chairs. HUGE shout out to the management staff! It's obvious the leadership here has expectations, does comprehensive training with staff and is actively engaged in ensuring the quality of the hotel. Is The Equestrian Hotel more expensive than the other hotel on site or hotels closer to town - yes, but it's so worth it and we would happily pay a higher price to stay here. Thank you for the wonderful weekend retreat!! We can't wait to return!

I stayed here because I had my two doodles with me and Hilton accepts dogs. The large pasture was perfect for walking dogs versus a tiny strip of grass out back that most hotels have. The front desk, lobby and restaurant are impeccable and up to date. The service was excellent. I didn't go in the pool or jacuzzi but it sure looked inviting. They were beautiful, clean and well maintained. The room was lack luster. Maybe I got a room that wasn't updated because I had the dogs? The carpet was old and the ac make grinding sounds at different hours of the night. The refrigerator was barely cold. There was no freezer and no microwave. The furniture was worn out but thankfully the mattresses were heavenly! Hope and her husband were kind to give me more information about the hotel restaurant.
