I made a reservation through Booking.com using my full name, but the desk clerk was unable to find it. They consequently charged me for a late cancellation (the price for 1 night). After I got home and realized the additional charge and contacted them, management initially refused to refund anything. The Hampton Inn located in Cleburne has been completely renovated. It took awhile, but the property is like new. Exterior, lobby, gym and guest rooms are newly renovated. The staff is new and all were friendly and engaging during my stay. read more

I have to give a huge shoutout to Shawna who works at the front desk. I had left something important and was quite worried about it. The hotel was very busy that day, and it was clear the staff was stretched thin, but Shawna made helping me her priority. But Shawna? She didn't miss a beat. Even though she was clearly swamped, she took the time to really help me out. And I'm not talking about just a quick "let me check lost and found", this stellar employee literally went on a mission. She was running all over that hotel, checking every floor, every room, every possible spot my thing could have ended up. I felt bad watching her work so hard for me! But beyond her efforts to find my missing item, it was Shawna's approach that really stood out. She remained calm and reassuring throughout the process, which helped ease my anxiety about the situation. Her genuine care and professionalism made what could have been a stressful experience much more manageable. It's rare to encounter someone who goes so far above and beyond their basic job requirements. Shawna has excellent hospitality skills and clearly takes pride in taking care of guests. She handled a difficult situation with grace and made sure I felt valued as a customer. The hotel is lucky to have her. Yuck. Hotel is dated, staff is inept and they don't honor Hilton Diamond members with even water when there is a display at the front desk that shows the "welcome gift". Sign at door says Masks Required. The staff wasn't even wearing a mask. Wasn't welcomed as a Diamond member. Went to room and the TV worked intermittently and the AC didn't work at all. Short stay (arrived late and got up super early) so I went to get ice for the road, ice machine didn't work. Just a bad stay all around. Five nights here and I selected this hotel because it is currently priced at only 10,000 Hilton points. When you redeem four nights, you get a fifth night free. And since I need to be working all week, this makes sense. The hotel is located at the edge of Cleburne though adjacent to the bypass highway. There was a little bit of road noise so if you think that might be a bother, stay on the other side of the highway. My room was otherwise quiet with no noise from the hallway or other guests. The room was clean (other than the vent in the bathrom) and tidy. All of the features worked including the wifi (except the last day when it didn't), the fridge and the microwave. I've started bringing my own hot water kettle and instant coffee after losing trust in hotel coffee makers. $20 and collapsible to the size of a paperback novel, I strongly recommend it. Breakfast was the standard Hampton free breakfast with eggs, some sort of breakfast meat, bread for toasting, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices and a waffle maker. I was able to stick to my keto diet for breakfast, so this was nice. It was all set up and ready each morning when I came down at 6:30. There are also coffee urns available 24 hours. There is nothing within walking distance but the Aldi is nearby and there are plenty of restaurants within a short drive. I've stayed at 80 or so Hampton hotels in the last several years. So the room was nice, clean, and looked newly renovated. Very modern! Only complaint is that the front desk lady was a bit unfriendly, I asked if we could possibly check out a little later and she said she couldn't say yes to that. I'm a Hilton Diamond member and she didn't even check... typically they don't mind giving an extra hour if the hotel isn't completely booked. I would've understood if she had given the response but she didn't. Breakfast was good, make your own waffles and they had egg, sausage, and French toast. Cleburne is a very small country town so not much to do but if you have to come to town it's a great place to stay. read more

Found food in the air vent with mold on it, whole room smells musty. Dirty, outdated ( just look at the tv) not up to par with Hampton Inn and Suites. The main lobby looks nice and clean, once you get to the rooms that's out the window. Stains everywhere, hair and mold in the shower. read more

I was in town doing some buisness, when I stayed there. the heating and air would work at all. the window would open so I could get some air. it was sweltering in my room. I personally walked down to the Desk to ask them to come fix it and they said they would be right up. 2 hours later I walked back down, to request a room change, which they denied. I asked them to refund my card, so I could go to another hotel, and the girl at the front desk proceeded to scream at me. I primp asked to see a manager and the owner actually came out. He was just as confortational as she was. I had stayed there a time or two before and never, ever had an issue but apparently there were new owner. I'm not one to make a scene or raise my voice so I just let them finish their rant and I packed my bags. As I was walking out of the hotel to pack up my car, the owner promptly followed me out, saying I was now truss passing because I had checked out before I packed, and that he was going to call the cop. what the actual F...Never in my life. it was like the whole staff was on something. All because I asked for them to fix my air, when it was over a 100 degrees outside. I would never recommend another person to lodge there. Looks like your typical Hampton on arrival. We are diamond members so stay in Hilton hotels a lot. Upon getting to our room the digital key didn't work. No biggie. Go back down and get a key. Have to ask for a water again no big deal. Front desk couldn't have cared less about our arrival. Upon entering the room I find pills on the floor thank god my kids didn't grab bc when we looked up the type of pill it was Xanax ‍. There was filth and mold everywhere. Bathroom was dirty. Air temp would not change from 66 degree no mater what and they wouldn't accommodate late check out. No breakfast in the trays when we went down and gym smelled like a boys locker room. IF YOU'RE STAYING FOR A WEDDING- THEY WILL NOT DO EARLY CHECK IN. We requested it, they lied and said they would allow us to do early check in. We arrived early, and they rejected us at the desk and pushed it to 2:30, completely ruining our schedule to arrive at the wedding. I had some points to burn and we were planning a trip to Glen Rose (and didn't feel like driving down and back), so I booked two nights in this hotel and visited more places in the area. It is very clean and well kept condition-wise.. The staff is super friendly, and it has an indoor pool (rare for a Hampton). The breakfast is typical Hampton fare, no better or worse. If you are expecting a great meal, don't go to a Hampton. If you want something to hold you over until lunch, you can do worse than the free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. read more

For the area, this hotel is not bad. The way business gets done at the front desk is a little erratic due to miscommunication, and because new people don't really try to find a way to help you if they can't help you themselves. Once you get to know the people at the desk though, they're pretty friendly, and caring. Breakfast is OK in the mornings - they've got a large variety of breakfast foods - pastries, oatmeal, meat, eggs (very subpar) yogurt, juice, milk, coffee. The 5pm cookies are delicious and make the lobby smell amazing. The cucumber lime water in the lobby is refreshing. My room is clean, for the most part. I won't count the times that my soap was oddly wet when I opened it out of the box, or when a washcloth was left on my nightstand after my room was cleaned. Regardless, I was always treated well whenever I had an issue, and my bed feels nice and comfy. Internet is sluggish and inconsistent at times. I'd recommend hooking up to the ethernet in the room for best service. I wish the hotel had better support for internet connectivity issues. read more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during Spring break. One of the best things that I loved is the breakfast. There is variety in the meat they serve. They also have unlimited coffee and hot chocolate for the kids that is available in the lobby all day. Location is great too. Very nice Hampton Inn, I would definitely stay again. Unfortunately, the only room I was able to book was a "mobility-access" room. I asked if there was anything else available when I checked in, and was told that there was not. I felt bad taking up a mobility-access room when I do not need one, but I had to spend the night! The only complaint about the room was the shower head - there was NO water pressure. It had one of those removable heads that mounts to a bar on the side, because again - it is a mobility-access room. Even with that shower head, I would still expect water pressure. The Hampton Inn & Suites in Cleburne is awesome!! It's clean and the services you get for the amount you pay per night is worth it. The complimentary daily breakfast is delicious and always has a good variety of breakfast food (waffles, french toast, biscuits and gravy, eggs, etc.). The Hampton has an indoor pool and hot tub, a business center, and a well-equipped gym. What I like most is the really friendly and accommodating staff. They work hard to make sure you enjoy your stay, and every evening they put out delicious fresh baked cookies for their guests :) All in all, I would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites for lodging at Cleburne. The room was as expected, but the staff wasn't. Apparently, the television was more important than customer service, as every time I came down into the lobby, the desk person was watching TV in the dining area. The new girl that had been hired just three days prior was very nice, but had no idea of the policies for early cancellation. The manager was not helpful and told me that since I booked through Expedia, that she couldn't do anything to help me. I felt like she could have cut the conversation short and just said F-Off.
