Since I could not do that, I called Wyndham, which also gave me the runaround and put me on hold for over an hour. I tried to explain it to their staff, but got nowhere. After being totally frustrated, we ended up leaving and renting another room and eating the cost. I will never book thru Wyndham again or stay at another La Quinta.

Room as a whole was good clean and the place seemed a bit dated but in good shape. The elevator worked great that outside was kept up. Like others said there isn't a dedicated spot to walk the dogs outside. Some small things like an iron and board weren't in the room. I didn't need those. Staff was polite and competent. Tv was a good size w I believe direct tv on it. All in all a typical la Quinta inn. I personally like the dated look here. It was classy to me. Like the desk w chair as well as the chair and ottoman. All in all just what I like value. BTW the pool was closed but they warned that it would be on the website due to the virus.

The breakfast had many options from juice, cereals, scrambled eggs, toasts, fruit, yogurt, waffles with all the condiments. The pillows and bed were very comfortable, providing a wonderful restful sleep. It was truly a smoke free room with no odors at all. Wish I'd had time to stay longer in bed or spend another night.

When she arrived at the room from the airport after flying for the last few hours on Friday @ 11:30pm she found what appeared to be drug paraphernalia (needle) in a filthy sink and roaches everywhere on the walls.     Her upper door lock which was a small sheet of metal, was also broken as it had little functionality as a lock because the wood part of the door to hold it closed was absolutely shredded and had a chunk of it missing, indicating that the room had been broken into or forced open before.  yikes!     Because it was late and there were no other rooms available that night, she was forced to stay there even though the room was filthy, had roaches, and she did not feel safe due to the broken security lock on the door.  She spoke to the manager/ owner the next day and he assumed absolutely zero responsibility and made no effort to make her experience there any better. In fact, even going so far as to blame HER, the paying GUEST, for the drug paraphernalia and filth being in the sink. This is completely out of line and unprofessional. Instead he just moved her into another room which wasn't even ready until past her check out, therefore charging her for 2 days in which the experience was already so bad and inconvenient.  Are customers not entitled to a reasonable expectation of cleanliness or professionalism when they're paying $386 to stay at a hotel they booked for 3 days?        She cancelled her remaining nights there and went to another hotel the very next day and has received no apology or any efforts from Days Inn and Suites by Wyndham management to mitigate her negative experience. I myself called the manager as well to get his side, and received the same attitude of no responsibility or accountability whatsoever and instead blaming the hotel guest for his hotel room being dirty and full of roaches.

I will start out with the one positive thing I have to say about this place - the staff are wonderful. It is not really their fault that they work in such an out-dated filthy hotel (although the cleaning crew may have some fault in this). We were put on the first floor and as we walked down the hall to our room my first thought was "Nursing Home". The smell of cigarettes, pot and old building were not a pleasant welcome to our stay. Entering the room, the carpet is in dire need of a deep clean. I would not recommend walking barefoot. When I went to plug in my phone charger I saw how filthy it was behind the night stand. Later we went to put a soda in the fridge and saw that a previous guest was considerate enough to leave behind 3 frozen burritos. While I hate to waste food, I am also not going to eat anything left behind by an unknown guest for an indeterminate amount of time. Later I went to use the bathroom after my daughter had already done so and I thought that maybe she had an issue with diarrhea but no, that was just condensation mixing with rusted toilet seat hinges and running over the seat and into the toilet bowl. I wedged some tissue in the hinge to absorb all future rust during our stay. When my daughter and I went to sit on the bed she all of a sudden made an "oh gross!" exclamation and I went to see what it was about. I thought this was something that had not been cleaned up but after scrubbing at it myself realized it was something that had melted into the top of the nightstand. We were only at this hotel as a last-minute stay after my sister-in-law and her family developed plumbing issues at their house and until the situation could fully be resolved only one shower could be had at a time and nothing but human waste goes down the toilet (no toilet paper). With her already having a household of 11 and us making 14 we decided it best to stay elsewhere. The only time we spent at the hotel was for sleeping. Bottom line, this hotel needs a top to bottom makeover. If it is privately owned by an individual then the least they could do is makeover one room at a time until the whole hotel is done. Make your cleaning staff check behind furniture for food crumbs, inside fridges for leftovers, swap out damaged furniture. Or at the very least, run across the street to Lowe's and get new toilet seats!! They are $20. Until this hotel gets a makeover they price of a room should not exceed $60. For $60/night I know what to expect. Actually if it were Motel 6 it would have been better, but having a name like "Fairbridge Inn & Suites" makes someone believe they are going to get similar quality to Holiday Inn Express.
