8/9/2025 - We stayed at this La Quinta and it smelled the moment we walked in of mildew. We rented the hotel room online for 3 nights and on the 2nd morning when I tried to cancel the 3rd night, I got the runaround about having to cancel thru the Website (Wyndham). Since I could not do that, I called Wyndham, which also gave me the runaround and put me on hold for over an hour. I tried to explain it to their staff, but got nowhere. After being totally frustrated, we ended up leaving and renting another room and eating the cost. I will never book thru Wyndham again or stay at another La Quinta. read more

Pretty decent value for a la Quinta. The bed is pretty comfortable. It is pretty spacious room. The staff let me check in early. The bathroom was clean and a good size. Room as a whole was good clean and the place seemed a bit dated but in good shape. The elevator worked great that outside was kept up. Like others said there isn't a dedicated spot to walk the dogs outside. Some small things like an iron and board weren't in the room. I didn't need those. Staff was polite and competent. Tv was a good size w I believe direct tv on it. All in all a typical la Quinta inn. I personally like the dated look here. It was classy to me. Like the desk w chair as well as the chair and ottoman. All in all just what I like value. BTW the pool was closed but they warned that it would be on the website due to the virus. read more

Our family suite room was dirty and disgusting. We found dead roaches all over the room including on top of a light fixture that can be seen when we turned on the lights. We stayed one night and slept with the lights on because we were afraid the roaches might come out in the dark. I would not recommend this hotel unless you don't mind the roaches. Also, one of the bed sheets was torn. There is also a train that passes by at night it seems like every 2 hours!! Spent close to $300 for one night and regret booking at this hotel. Never again!! absolutely disgusting. my mother and i stayed here this past weekend and there was roaches in both the rooms we had. the first night we stayed there was a dead roach on the floor. we called the front to have them pick it up and all they had to say was "we just had the rooms sprayed for bugs". obviously this had been a problem before. the next night i'm laying in bed and there's a live roach climbing on the way. i called back to the desk and asked for a room change. we moved to a room 2 doors down. i immediately searched the entire room and who would of guessed more dead roaches. 1 behind one bed and 2 behind the other dead. we immediately left and they only offered and refund for 2 nights and had nothing to say about the situation. never stay here they don't care. read more

I grew up in la quinta hotels and I always expect a rather plain but at least pretty clean and expectable stay. One thing you just have to expect is crickets everywhere, that's a hallmark. Basically I just think the brand isn't really trying anymore, I've stayed in three la Quinta's in three cities this week and the cleanliness was sub par. This one in particular upset me, besides the gym and the pool being icky and laughable. In my first room. My shower and bathroom wall had blood on it. And in my second room my bed had yellow stains in the sheets and blood on the bed skirt. I'm going to go sleep in my car. How do I know it's blood? I take a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and Lysol wipes with me everywhere. If it bubbles it's blood. Fresh, not washed. Maybe I'm a little germaphobic but honestly I feel like most of us have the higher standards of cleanliness than this. read more

Idk where this motel gets more than this. It's needs major upgrades for sure. The breakfast you might as well go get you something from the store. Better get you a can of Lysol and air freshener I promise. Our rom smelled so horrible. We had 5 other rooms too with Family and everyone's rooms stunk. But not to mention the hall smelled like weed at all times it was bad. This should be $50' a night no matter what. The outside run down fence half down cig butts everywhere. The lady doing breakfast was extremely rude unfriendly. read more

Wedding Venue Attendees...because there probably aren't any other reasons you're staying in Cleburne willingly. Do Not Stay Here. I don't care if it's closer to the venues then the Home2 Suites or Towneplace but is 100% worth the slightly longer drive. We almost decided to make the hour drive back to Dallas instead of staying here. We booked a non smoking room...which of course smelt like cigarettes...but that could have been due to the inch gap under the door you can clearly see and hear through. Even though a hair dryer was said to be included...my girl had to air dry her hair with the AC unit. The mattress feels as tho it's handmade from a woodworker and the pillows seemed to be stuffed with socks. The furniture looks like it was pulled from the side of the highway along with the yellow pages from 2015. Don't forget the dozens of mystery stains and handprints all over the room. And lastly the classy 32" TV from 2004. Overall, do not stay here unless you are the owner. Best of luck read more

This is the worst hotel stay ever. Pool is broke/nasty, Gym is closed, washer and dryer is broke, we started leaving the little wastebasket trash bags in the hallway because no one had come by after 3 days. The next 3 consecutive days I have requested fresh linens only to be met with an excuse. Same excuse today, as I check out. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

We stopped here to stay on 4/5/2019 at 1220 am When we went in the room put lights on went into bathroom dead bugs were on the floor ,carpet had crumbs bed look like it had been laid on pillows were messy room was dirty ,called front desk offered to move us to another room,he met us up theirs took us down to another room ,pulled bedspread back black long hairs all in the bed bathroom dirty ,we ended up leaving they didn't seem to care I guess their use to hearing their rooms are nasty dirty I would never recommend this place ever read more

A lot of confusion at check in, and front staff- while trying to be helpful- wasn't. They only had a smoking room available for me when I checked in at 6pm, even though I reserved nonsmoking-- they hadn't gotten my room clean yet. So they wanted to put me in a normal king bed at my reserved rate, even though I reserved a two room suite. After all of that was sorted out, once I finally got to my room, it was fine. Interestingly, the thermostat told me to control the temperature through the AC unit and the AC unit said to use the thermostat. It didn't matter much because the temperature was fine when I got in, so it didn't need adjusting. I like La Quinta Inn & Suites and stay at them a lot. But this particular property was not up to the quality of service that I'm used to. read more

OK so we haven't checked out yet we still have another day but from the time we checked in everyone has been professional the customer service has been just fine the room is comfortable housekeeping has done a fantastic job parking is good the pools clean it's centrally located and it might be one of the best things in Cleburne Texas If I was you I wouldn't pay attention to any of the other ratings because as of today the place is great LaQuinta has not let me down this time read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend while attending a wedding at Thistle Springs Ranch. The staff member who checked us in was very kind and accommodating. Our room was clean, free wifi was awesome and the tv had a nice selection of channels. On the negative side the bed wasn't very comfortable and the sheets were kind of scratchy feeling. Also the air conditioner was pretty loud and had only one setting: HIGH. The air conditioning unit is right under the window so if you have it on then the curtains constantly look like a ghost. Okay for just a night, but definitely not for extended stay. read more

Worst hotel experience ever! Arrived at 3am and no shower pressure; literally dripping out of shower head. Tried to call front desk, but phone just died the disk tone never connecting front desk. Turned on TV and static, no picture. Talked to front desk via cell phone and super nice guy said he would tell owner in morning and they would switch us rooms. Went down next morning and owner's son seemed agitated that I was having issues and offered another room (didn't apologize or offer upgrade for inconvenience). I checked water pressure and better, not strong. Cracks in time all around bathtub and toilet seat cheap plastic type you'd buy at Walmart. Wife sat on seat and the seat slid off the side and pinched her leg. We had plans so didn't return until late afternoon after checkout time. Phone didn't work in this room either. Decided to check out pool..bad idea! Grass high and growing through fence, chairs/lounges broke and material rotted, and girls panties on deck. Door didn't let you back in and had to walk around building to re-enter. Not prejudice, but Indian family owned and looked like they take cheap way out of repairs or don't care to repair at all. We checked out and will never return. read more

We walked in with no reservation on a Saturday morning, Amanda was extremely polite! Staff was very nice and accommodating, the rooms were nice and clean, cable tv with HBO and CINEMAX. Free WiFi. There was a breakfast every morning even though we didn't eat there. Nice and quite area and right off the main through way for Cleburne. I will defined stay there again in the future. read more

Disappointed! Not up to La Quinta's standards as far as being dog friendly. No designated pet area no waste station. They now charge a $20 pet fee and dog must be under 30 lbs. Night desk person was not friendly when checking in with a pet. read more

There was a dirty washcloth still in the shower. The back door doesn't lock and was propped open all night. The staff was rude. We went to eat breakfast and came back to get our stuff check out was at 12:00 we got there 15 to 12:00 our room was made up cleaned and all of our stuff was gone. We are missing a pack of cigars a straightening iron they went through my husband's pants and took his change and his Michael kors watch was broken also we were missing a bottle of cologne. The management stood there and argued with us saying that two other gentlemen were in our room and had keys and told them to go ahead and clean it up. This wasn't possible as it was a king size room and there was only my husband and I. They threatened to call the police on us because I was yelling because I was very upset they stalled giving our stuff for about 10 minutes finally gave us our stuff and was extremely rude we will never stay here again these people are disgusting their practices are disgusting their hotel is filthy. read more

update 7/13 Manager, Mr. Patel @ Cleburne Hotel sent me a fax to "prove" I had THREE rooms. Funny, the confirmations are hand done by the hotel and NONE of the confirmations match the ones from LaQuinta on line. So he generated fake ones to prove it? LaQuinta Corporate has issued a refund. Glad I didn't book direct or I would have trouble with cc company. Still won't use them again. read more

The best thing about La Quinta is you can take your dog. This hotel is kind of rundown. If you like crickets serenading you all night, you should consider staying here. When we arrived in the parking lot last night, people were milling around. Passing the hot tub, a young man was sitting in it drinking a fifth of whiskey. We got our key out to open the outside door to the building, and a guy walked by and said, "You don't need to use your key. They never lock the door." I probably will not stay here again unless I have to. read more

This horrific motel is beyond words, first of all it's Texas in the middle of June, why the hell is it hotter in the lobby than it is outside!?! Then my dad goes up to the front desk and the middle eastern lady at the front desk only knows enough English to ask if we had a reservation! Then this man with slightly better English skills won't even answer my dad's question about why they need his liscence plate number! Then we start heading up to our room and the entire motel smells like thick peanut curry that had been left out in the sun all day. We go into the room and the rom smells worse than the halls and the AC was set to 85 degrees. Later in the evening when we trying to sleep (we couldn't) my dad went to the front desk requesting a new room. When he got there a younger man who hooked us up with a similar room with a minty curry scent. If it wasn't for the room this review would have one star and we would be sleeping in the car. read more
