The room they had for us was so nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and everything made from scratch. Their backyard was very nice and it overlooks Lake Granbury. I totally recommend this place for a nice get away. Also, you can walk downtown which takes only 10 mins which is a nice safe walk.

The owners were only a message away if we needed them but allowed us our space with the contactless check in, etc... This is a great place to stop for information, be it local, or state-wide. There are several large racks with pamphlets on all sorts of great places to visit. It is staffed by friendly and helpful people, that can make recommendations on food, places to stay and things to do. I drop in occasionally, just to see if there is anything new. One of my favorite things to pick up is local maps. Two of my favorites are the "Granbury Cemetery Map" and the "Moments-in-time hike & bike trail" map. I'll attempt to upload both to the photos section. Oh, and on this visit I did lean of a new place, Alex's ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/alexs-pizza-pasta-and-subs-granbury ), and I picked up some info on the new distillery, Local Goat ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/local-goat-distillery-granbury-3 ). My family and I stayed at this Best Western on October 1, 2010. It was the WORST experience I've…read moreever had at ANY motel/hotel. If you value YOUR PRIVACY, then this motel is NOT for you! We were up in Cleburne for a business trip. My boyfriend left for work a 6am. At around 8:30am or so, my sister in law called to see if I wanted to go down to the office to get some breakfast. The variety of things they had for breakfast was fine, & everything looked clean. I nodded at the owner/manager when we walked in, they neither acknowledged nor said hello in return. I think to myself, WHATEVER! After breakfast, I head back to my own room, I bathe and dress my daughter and was in the middle of getting dressed when I hear a knock on my door. Maid service was called through the door. I replied No, thanks. Again, another knock this time I walk to the door, open the door with the chain still on and tell them, No, Thanks. As I said I was in the MIDDLE of getting dressed so I hid behind the door and poked my head out to tell them no thanks. To my dismay the owner/manager answered WHAT HOW COME? By this point, I'm furious! I'm here, half naked trying to get dressed while trying to attend to my one year old and this lady has the audacity to ask me WHY I don't want maid service?!?!?! UMMM, It's my right, if I don't want your dumb ass in my room, THAT I PAID for, then I'm not going to let you in, END OF STORY! Furious, I slam the door on the lady. Thinking that was the end of it, I finish getting dressed. Less than five minutes later, I get a phone call from the office, telling me that I NEEDED to let the maid in. She told me that I could stay in the room while the maid was cleaning, but I had to let the maid in. NOW, I'M FULL BLOWN PISSED OFF!!! If she wanted the sheets and towels so that she can take them to get clean that's one thing, I would've gladly gathered the things and passed them on out to her, but she was insisting that she physically come into my room to "clean". The lady then proceeded to tell me that if I did not let the maid in then we were not welcome to stay there. SERIOUSLY?!?! My daughter's toys and books were scattered all over the floor. What exactly were you gonna clean? I'm appalled by the behavior of the staff and managers/owners of this place. Clean, yeah its moderately clean, you still get dirt all over your feet after walking barefoot on the floors all day. Yeah the towels and blankets were cleaned. But in all honesty, I bring my own blankets and towels, so it doesn't matter how clean your things are, I do not use them anyways! Let's pay this awful place almost $80/night, and let them inconvience us at least once a day (so they can keep their rooms clean). NO THANKS! Best Western, I can't believe you allow these people to use your name. I will never EVER stay at a Best Western again, and yes I do know that each one is individually owned and one experience at one Best Western is not going to be like the next. But thanks to my experience with your chain, I will forever be turned off to you and your businesses. Note: This review was made a week after the incident and I'm still furious!

Sonic being right next door was convenient too. Good price. Not the best experience, not the worst. Checked in and out in the middle of the night and it was fine. Maybe the decor was a bit to be desired, but it was a good space all the same.
