A really great experience! Dave greeted us warmly when we arrived around 9:30pm on a Saturday. He clearly explained everything to us and told us about where the amenities were and what time breakfast was. The lobby is extremely clean and bright. He noticed that I seem to have two Hilton Honors accounts and recommended that I call and have them combined so that my points will accumulate properly. He even wrote down the phone number and my two account numbers for my convenience. The beds were lovely and fresh and clean, lots of pillows and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate with plenty of towels and soaps. Everything seems to be brand new. Breakfast was fantastic, considering it was free and a buffet. The woman who was handling the food prep and service was extremely pleasant and hard working. I even heard Dave the manager telling her what a good job she was doing! He was also assisting keeping the tables clean and tidy in between guests. Overall an outstanding hotel experience and I definitely will return as I have family in the area. read more

Lady who works nights is scared about her safty. obfuscated the fact that I can use my room card to open the door and implied that I can't leave past 11 without her opening the door if shes at the desk. Came back at 11 an pushed the button like she implied to then get attitude, "You need to stop forgetting your key card sir." I didn't, I had it, she made rules unclear because she does not feel safe working there at night. Im an asshole.. I give attitude back.. now its uncomfortable to get a free coffee or enter/leave the building while shes on shift. read more

This was not the best Hampton inn in terms of cleanliness. There were stain in the sheets. Bathroom doors kept sliding open while taking shower. Pillow were all yellow. Pools were not great temperature. Kind of cold. Many kids in the pool and parents not very thoughtful filming with their phones while we were in the pools. You never know nowadays "  strange perverts! " However, staff was super nice! read more

How in this day and age could Hilton endorse such a maintenance disaster as this! Toilet malfunction as well as bathroom sink drain was a pain to open. I should not have to open the toilet tank to stop the water running all night. I should also not fight to get the drain to open when brushing my teeth. Should I go on with the tv selection! Let me just say garbage. For every good thing I found in this 200+ per night room there were 2 things that didn't work. The staff were very friendly and helpful so big shout out to them. This is my third year stay, at The Tides Motel. My friends and I go fishing once a year with, Seabrook at the Eastman Dock. The owner of The Tides has made huge improvements every time we come. Very clean hotel and rooms! Beds were very comfortable and nice clean sheets. If you need extra toiletries or a shower cap just ask the front desk. Nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal and yogurt along with fresh baked goodies. Will definitely be staying here again. read more

This shows a clean room which we did not get, the first room smell like chemicals really bad, second room had soiled sheets. They did not change the beds from the previous guests and floor was sticky. Third room comforter was soiled they gave us a new one the. Asked us to put the duvet on it ourselves. Also there was no towels in the room! They do not clean the rooms! If we could have gotten reservations else where we would have left. Then the pool was extremely cloudy- NOT clean. The hotel Was Filthy!! The desk girl was very helpful but the general manager was horrid. This hotel was not up to Hilton quality! We will never stay there again! My advice AVOID this hotel at all cost for 250.00 a night you expect a clean room read more

Shout out to Kristen, Ben and the girl who took over their shift. I made the mistake of renting an electric vehicle to take my 88 year old mother to Maine. On returning from Maine I realized I did not have enough miles charged and ended up getting help from the check in people at this hotel. They were really kind, gracious, helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to sit in the lobby and wait until I had enough charge to get to Medford (2.5 hrs).. We were not staying there but they treated us like we were. If I ever need to stay in the Amesbury area, I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn. read more

I was double charged for the room, had to call customer support to get the second charge removed. I later called the hotel back seeking some kind of compensation (as the second charge left me unable to pay a bill on time and short on cash for three days) and was told repeatedly by the manager and a customer support rep that I was wrong, and there was no double charge. This is after I'd already CONFIRMED the double charge had taken place with my bank AND Hilton customer support when I called to get it removed. The manager and customer support rep were not only wrong, but were hostile and demeaning during the entire call; I've never been treated so poorly over the phone. Nice hotel, terrible manager. My advice: good luck if you run into a billing issue from their end. Plenty of other places to stay in the area. I was a silver member, but am deactivating my account over my treatment. read more

This was the nicest Hampton Inn I've stayed in! It opened in the fall, so the rooms are nice and new. I stayed in a standard king room, which also came with a chaise lounge. The hotel provides free breakfast in the morning and coffee all day, which is a nice touch. The only negative is that they don't have a restaurant/bar in the hotel. Employees at the front desk were friendly and I appreciated that they let me check in a little early. I'd definitely stay here again next time in the area! read more

I am liking Hampton Inns more and more these days. The Amesbury Hampton continued that trend: Nice, big room. Very nice bathroom and shower. Excellent water pressure. Good, convenient location. Not a bad breakfast. Coffee in the lobby was available all day. Plenty of Diamond member parking. And the fitness center is adequate. I can get in a decent lifting workout. The only downside was the price was little high. Not too bad, though. I would certainly stay here again. read more

Overall nice hotel, very clean. They're doing a great job at breakfast during Covid. Friendly staff and a nice pool but one of the noisiest hotels I have stayed in in my almost 40 years of travel. They claim that there is no construction going on in the room above us or next to us but it sure does sound like it. Seems like the banging never stops. It's been a while since I've stayed at a Hampton Inn. I liked everything about the place, except the cheap, dry scrambled liquid eggs and mystery-meat breakfast sausage. If you want carbohydrates for breakfast it's okay. For proteins, they could do a lot better. I'll stay there again--it's a much better choice than the Amesbury Fairfield Inn. The wife and I were on our way for a stay in Maine and stopped on our way. The hotel was pretty well booked because of the holiday weekend. The place is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever experienced. Staff was super friendly and polite. The breakfast was open but with COVID protections. We cancelled on a Friday for a Sunday night reservation. We cancelled on a Friday and because there wasn't a 72 hour notification a charge in the full amount occurred. When I tried to say I'd take the reservation, it had been rebooked. Therefore, my cousin was charged the full amount, the room was rebooked, but no compensation was offered. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn again. They were not accommodating to the serious situation and booked 1 room twice. Go to Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is the best in the area. We used to stay at a competitor in the area but once this hotel opened, we tried it and we were hooked. The customer service can not be beat. I had some issues with my reservation (the online reservation wouldn't sync) and Jaime helped sort out the issue. When we check in the staff is ALWAYS courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Today's check in went smoothly because Charlene was very friendly and thorough, explaining elements of fitness center and pool (free and open from 6-midnight and 7-9 respectively) and breakfast (complimentary 6-10). She then helped find us a room, asking about preferences and accommodating where she could. The hotel itself is clean, safe, and quiet. In fact, we are having a family gathering in a few months and we are recommending that people book here. read more

Newly remodeled economy hotel in a great location. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The room was clean. My least favorite aspects: hotel pillows (but aren't they all awful?), the occupants in the next room had kids (walls weren't as sound proof as I'd like when trying to sleep), no blackout shade which was rough after traveling through several time zones, bathroom door was like a sliding barn door (an illusion of privacy), and breakfast was meh. The best part? The shower. The knob is on the opposite side from the water faucet. I wish all showers were like that, but I know, I know, it's cheaper and easier to run plumbing along one wall. Great location, newer hotel and very competitive rates for this area (being that it is the summer season) Rooms were just big enough, decorated nice. King bed was comfy. Microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker in room. Bathroom was nice and a generous size, however the door which is not your traditional door kept rolling open, we laughed mostly as the door just rolled open (not fully, just a small roll) with no one near it on a few occasions as there is no lock. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Free breakfast which included waffles, french toast etc. Coffee, tea etc. Excellent 2 day stay. Highly recommend! read more

This is a brand new Hampton Inn and it shows. Beds were excellent, everything was really clean. Had a glitch checking in that was probably my fault (in booking online) and I started to freak out thinking that I wasn't going to be able to get a room on a Friday night. The staff were patient and extremely helpful with me. Even though they were full and I booked it wrong, Alpesh and Charlene didn't quit till I got the room I wanted at the price I had originally booked. It took some doing and they stayed with it till I was happy. Sometimes how you handle a glitch says more about your company than the fact that nothing went wrong. The whole staff has been great. Breakfast is terrific, coffee and tea all day. The woman assisting in the breakfast area was amazingly helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend this place. read more

This hotel was great. We were greeted with a warm welcome when checking in. The place was clean and very inviting loved the coffee in the lobby. Our room was comfortable and clean. Swam in the pool and tried the gym both small but I will not complain. They served a breakfast in am. It was very good and was great for being included. We had an excellent time here the past few days! The hotel room was impeccably clean. The free breakfast was excellent. The pool was heated and salt water, although slightly small. Awful! Decided to take my two kids to stay over night and swim. Booked my reservation for myself and two kids. Both my kids had their bathing suits on and life jackets when we walked in. I checked in online, they kept telling me I didn't. Two young boys working behind the desk had no clue what they were doing, 1st mistake. We brought our bags up to the room and came back down to go swim. My key didnt work at the pool. Go to the desk and they ask me if I had a reservation. I said why would I need one when I just paid $175 for one night and can't use any of the amenitie?! I booked with two kids, no one told me this over the phone OR didnt see this online! They clearly saw my kids had life jackets on. The young boy said nothing open until the next morning at 10a-10:30a. I was shocked That they charged me $175 with no amenitie. beware if you are taking kids. We ended up leaving, went to the Marriott where my money was well spent and could use everything! They also told me everything up front. Train your employees better and tell customers up front so they know!!! I emailed the Hilton demanding my money back!!! read more

I am a Hilton Gold member and stay in Hampton Inn's all over the country. I think this is my favorite so far. Dave at the front desk gets a huge 10 star from me. Extremely friendly and helpful on finding a fabulous place to eat. The rooms are larger than normal and much cleaner than usual.
