Ive never experienced this in the ladt 15 years of my travels. This light was on even in morning at 7am, the curtains had to stay closed. And at night i couldnt leave just the privacy curtains, it look like daylight outside. The other part is i asked to move, the white lady manager frowned and said "we dont move people around ". The computer in the semi office that customers can use, never worked, again staff just said " i guess it dont work". Im in a king room which is spacious and clean, except the one pillow case with looked like a blood or chocolate stain, not good. Breakfast at times was ok, a microwave may benefit to warm up the cold breakfast potatoes. read more

We were hugely disappointed and frankly disgusted by this hotel. We usually choose Hilton brand hotels because we thought we could expect a higher standard from them. However, this one was awful. It looks like it had never been upgraded. The towel bar and shower drain were rusty. The room strongly reeked of stinky feet which was coming from the wet carpet under the leaking A/C unit. The ceilings had water stains, and the hallway ceilings were sagging. The pool, our floor's ice machine, and the breakfast area's juice machine were all out of order on a scorching hot day. The only reason I gave this one star was because the front desk lady was so friendly and kind. It was not her fault the hotel was falling apart. read more

When I get here, the lady who happened to be Spanish to look at me and told me she doesn't believe I know what I'm doing, and made me leave. Then I told her I used to work in a nursing home, where I did this daily, I had to reminder of my agent that I wasn't Young. However, racism is real. Abilene Texas has to grow up. read more

Nice hotel in Abilene with a small gym that has one treadmill, elliptical and a bike and dumbbells up to 50lbs. Room was clean, I had no issues with noise. Free breakfast was nice. Nothing major but your generic, waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal etc. This hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and there is even a mall nearby. When you think Hampton Inn you normally think more upscale bit this place is lacking quite a bit in that area. They do not have a laundry facility for their guests. There is no room service offered at all. The breakfast they serve in the morning is very minimal and there is limited choices as far as a convenience to buy snacks, drinks and what not. Parking is extremely limited for guests. I just thought I'd get more out of the price you pay. Also I noticed the comfort is ripped. You would think the cleaning crew woulda noticed it today but apparently not. read more

This Hampton I would not recommend. After checking in, went to the room. Get settled in turn on tv does not work. Called the desk. He comes up with a new remote it still didn't work. He got us another room so we packed back up and changed room. The man working the front desk this particular night was very polite, I felt he did his job very well. He is not responsible for what's happening at this facility. The biggest problem I have, for the money I will not stay there again. It did not seemed cared for, missing piece on the elevator, screens tore, taped areas in the ceiling holding an acces door, the light in our bathroom seemed to have mold or some black something around the base and it was filthy . There is no attention to detail. Either the owners not spending enough to maintain this facility or lacks motivation to properly oversee his investment. I give this place two stars for one reason. My family and me are driving across country and booked this hotel for the sole reason it has a pool. We were looking forward to letting our child get out some energy after driving 9 hours. The website states that a pool is one of the amenities. When we checked in we were told the pool has been closed due to the pandemic and has yet to reopen. I find that kinda lame due to the fact that all I have heard is that Texas never played those ""Covid games, cuz this is MAGA country." Which is also funny because I stayed 3 nights in a Hampton suites in Liberal ass Nevada where they played "Covid games" for two years. If you are not going to advertise the pool is down then perhaps lower your price, I would have booked elsewhere knowing this in advance. read more

I was here staying for a four week TDY. I was not happy with the stay due to a number of factors. I'll start with a positive. The gentleman running the complimentary breakfast was a delight and he did a good job on the food. There were plenty of options and he changed the warm food that was offered daily. For some negatives. There are a lot of things broken or under maintenance for an undetermined time. For example, the treadmill was broke the whole time I was there. I talked to the front desk about when it would get fixed and no one could give me a direct answer. One gentleman said he would contact maintenance about the issue but never did. Also the pool was down for maintenance and there was no timeline for it to get fixed. The computer was down and the lady at the front desk said there was nothing she could do to help me and that "it was down for the whole year prior, due to Covid". I'm a little peaved that companies like this still use Covid as an excuse to not have the normal amenities expected from them and they still charge the same prices. Lastly, I was not a fan of having to request housekeeping instead of it happening everyday or at least every other day. It seems like another easy Covid excuse to not do the job. I'll end with a positive for the benefit of the doubt. The rooms were comfortable and relatively clean. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel until they fix everything or at least let you know what is broken and won't be fixed for a long time. read more

Building is older. They did start remodeling. Chris at front desk is a nervous real nice guy. And also Micheal, house keeping and the staff in-charge of the food. I could care less about the Hispanic lady in the front desk usually working in the morning. Her face is not so pleasant to be the first to see in the morning ...... I must say they were affected by some cricket and insect issue that they were taking care of and is seasonal. Over all, It was not all bad. There was free breakfast, free water, tea, coffee and cocoa, free fruits, and evening cookies. And i liked their cable selection. Parking can be a nuisance sometimes. It is also next to the mall....and a few nice places. Not a bad location....and most of the staff weren't bad. read more

Just stayed at this property on our road trip back home from my parents' place. It was a long drive, so my wife and I were really eager to get into the room and relax. The people at this place definitely make it easy for that to happen. From the moment we arrived the manager on duty checked us in rather quickly, and we were able to get in with no hassles. The King Study we reserved was not the biggest one ever, but it was perfect for what we needed. I crashed on the bed and she used the sofa to crochet. She was happy that the room had an abundance of light sources (more than a Hampton we had just left) Internet service was actually pretty quick for non-premium when I had to do any work on the fly. We were more than satisfied with the service from all of the members of the staff that we encountered and will likely choose this hotel again for any visits to the Big Country. read more

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas for a few days. The employees at the counter were friendly and the cookies were good. But the motel itself is run down and not kept clean. There was visible mold in the bathroom, the floors were unvacuumed and the breakfast food they served was questionable. I do not recommend the Abilene Hampton Inn in Ridgemont. read more

We came down to take my sister to school. At 2 am my mom was sleeping and she felt something bite her. We looked down and there were bed bugs. You could see them clearly. She now has bites one her hand, neck and arms. We went to tell the manger on duty she came in and confirmed what it was and gave us a new room. We had another room down the hall and we seen the lady in there cleaning up the room. The next morning they told us they didn't have see anything. This type of service should not be allowed. And the customers should feel like they are safe and well taken care of. Please please check your beds. And bring your own cleaning supplies. read more

To be fair, this is likely a nice enough hotel for a short stay. The staff is friendly and pleasant to deal with. There have been too many short comings, however, to outweigh anything but a one star review. I am a Diamond HHonors member. I stay at Hilton properties all over the Country. I have never left a review for any hotel, good or bad. Until now. 1. After checking in and getting settled (unpacked) I hop into bed only to discover that not only are the linens soaking wet but the mattress is, as well. For my own sanity I'm going with the sheets hadn't been dried from the laundry. How housekeeping thought it was ok to make the bed with wet sheets is beyond me. I'm ignoring why the mattress was wet. I was promptly moved to another room and given a small bag of assorted candy for my trouble. 2. The following morning while throwing back the shower curtain in preparation for an invigorating shower, a dirty facecloth falls on me. It was draped over the shower rod. Now, when I say dirty, I don't mean simply used. I mean, dirty as in stained. This may have been worse than the wet mattress. The good news is that I was already heading into the shower! 3. On a handful of occasions, there were no eggs for breakfast. I know they're powdered eggs, just like every other Hampton serves and I'm ok with that but I really wanted some for breakfast. I know they had them because the little sign on the buffet platter said "eggs". Figuring they had just run out and would be back with more shortly, I patiently waited. And waited. And waited some more. No eggs. No staff checking on the eggs to see if they needed more eggs. Guess who didn't get eggs because he had to go to work? This guy! I'd honestly be ok with this had it happened once but in the two weeks I've been here it has happened four times. I stopped going to breakfast for fear of disappointment and lack of eggs. 4. There's no guest laundry room. Not an issue if you're only here for a day or two. I'm here for three weeks. It's hot in Abilene and I work outside for 11 hours a day. 7 days a week. For three weeks. Laundry happens. Look up laundromats in Abilene. The reviews are not good. I found an acceptable location, that was open on a Sunday, only 12 miles away. Convenient! 5. I generally don't have housekeeping come into my room very often. I'm not messy and it's not needed. It's a win win. Hotel saves money and I have a bit extra privacy. I've nearly run out of toilet paper, however. That's generally my cue to let housekeeping in. I've been here two weeks and one day. They didn't actually change the bed linens. Fail. 6. My air conditioner stopped working last night, June 26, 2016. I informed the front desk this morning and asked that someone take a look and straighten it out. Much later in the evening, I asked if it had been looked at and was informed that the maintenance person had been busy and didn't get to it. I was offered, once again, a change to change rooms. I really don't like packing and unpacking multiple times (who does?) so I told them I'd stick it out for the night. We'll circle back around to the AC shortly. 7. June 27, 2016 10:30pm, the fire alarm wakes me up. It's a good alarm, very loud. It does an excellent job. Everyone files out of the hotel and a few minutes later the Fire dept arrives. Turns out to be a ground fault error and everyone can go back inside. It is currently 11:30pm and the alarm is going off every 10 seconds. They can't get it to stop. No sleep for anyone intent on sleeping. The alarm, is quite good, remember? 8. Back to the AC. Since I can't sleep and it's getting very warm in my room I decide to take them up on their offer of switching rooms. You see, the AC is starting to smell unpleasant as well as not putting out anything more than a light wisp of air. Alas, it was not to be. All of the rooms had filled up and there was nowhere to move to. So now I'm sitting here, listening to the very loud fire alarm, sweating, not getting any sleep. 9. I almost forgot number 9! Must be the lack of sleep. The Internet. The Internet is so slow here to be almost unusable. I ran a speed test on it out of curiosity. 1.5mb down. I had to check my calendar to verify it was indeed 2016. Now for those of you who may not be Diamond HHonors members, one of the perks of spending so much money is we get access to the premium, high speed internet (where available). After trying and failing to log on I had to ask for help. Essentially, told "oh well" by one person and then the following day was given the magic code by a different person. Thank you, different person. It should have simply worked without the hassle. Pros: people are friendly and give you candy. Cons: no laundry, poor service at breakfast, AC doesn't work, fire alarm won't be quiet, wet mattresses, poor housekeeping, ridiculously slow internet. Maybe I'll go sleep in the car. That has a working AC. read more

I stay here a few times a month for work. Although a little older, it has recently been remodeled, the new front sliding doors are greatly welcomed! The rooms are clean. I will always stay here, as Chris, the manager in the evenings, has treated me SO well! He knows my name and hilton honors each time I arrive. Always has me on the third floor by the stairs as he knows I use the workout facility and enjoy the third floor. The hotel is usually full, but they always have plenty of breakfast and fresh fruit. I've met work partners here, and although it's a small area, it is accommodating. The hotel itself is in a great location, walking distance to eat fast good if needed and plenty of places near by to drive too. The mall and target are also very close. I really appreciate the microwave and fridge in the room as this accommodates me bringing my own meals. The fitness room has a treadmill, elliptical, and bike, and free weights. I'm usually the only person in there. Indoor pool/hottub never has anyone in it. Again, about Chris, he almost always writes me a handwritten thank you note or shoots me an email the evening of my stay to thank me. Best customer service! read more

We had a recent opportunity to stay at this facility on Christmas Eve and day. The staff kindly left a gift at our door Christmas morning, which was incredibly kind, thoughtful and appreciated. Great experience! Our room was pristine and spotless! The bed was comfy, the and room was cozy. We had a great two night stay. The front desk clerk was friendly and professional as were all other staff we encountered during our stay. Hamptons are typically pretty consistent in quality and service, but this one was especially clean which is always a plus! read more

Every shift is as friendly as the one before them, the breakfast bar is always clean and freshly stocked, they have complimentary water and toiletries if you forget anything, the rooms are clean and fresh, and it is always quiet. This hotel has bed bugs and even after confirming this with me via phone and email, I have yet to receive any compensation for my trouble. I went to Abilene for a wedding and was told by another hotel I already had a booking with that I couldn't check in before 3 pm. The wedding started at 330 pm. I decided to call around, the other Hampton in Abilene told me they could not guarantee me an earlier check in ether. I called this Hampton Inn and Andrea at the front desk took my name down and assured me that she would hold the first clean room for me and transferred me to booking. I booked my room, and about thirty minutes later Andrea called me back and told me my room was ready and would be available as soon as I got into town. The room was clean and wonderful, the breakfast and coffee were great. I'm very impressed with the level of customer service I received here. If I stay in Abilene again it will be here. read more

This Hampton property is old and in desperate need of an update. The front door is a manual open single wide door. I have pretty much never seen this in a decent motel. the entry is obviously not where it was originally intended to be, but an unfortunate side effect of a remodel at some point. The carpets are old, hallways are dark, and rooms are small. There is a mini-fridge, but it is sitting on the floor next to the window by itself. There is a coffee maker, but it is siting on the bathroom counter. Overall not at all impressed. Originally had a two-night stay, but I reserved a new room at a new property for the second night. read more

My fiancé and I decided to stay here at the last minute Saturday night. I believe it was a big mistake. First off, we chose this hotel because it was the only hotel available that had an indoor pool at the time and had free breakfast. We get checked in, change into our swim clothes, and head off to the pool. The pool had so much chloride in it that it burned your eyes just by being near it. I wanted to go sit in the hot tub for a bit (was on the road for 6 hours before hand) and couldn't because the chloride was that bad. We went up to the room and took a much needed shower and left for dinner. It was pretty stormy when we got back around 10:30 so while my fiancé went to park the truck after dropping me off at the door, I went ahead and went to our room. About three minutes after getting into our room, I hear this water fall noise coming from the AC. Sure enough, the AC was pouring water out. I called my fiancé and he notified the front desk. We ended up switching rooms. Was glad they were able to switch us rooms. Thanks for that. Our room happened to be right at the elevator and ice machine unfortunately. Here is where it crossed the line. We were about to fall asleep when we hear this loud pouring noise... there was this teenager pouring ice into five gallon buckets at 1 in the morning. We thought it might be just a minute before he was finished so we tried to ignore it. This went on for about 5 minutes so my fiancé got dress and went and kindly asked the kid to please stop because there are people trying to sleep and he was being very loud. The kid gave us attitude saying he was needing to take a ice bath so that is the reason he is getting the ice. I am sorry but there should be no reason to be pouring ice into a bucket at 1 in the morning for an ice bath. If you needed that ice bath, you should have either done it sooner or at least tried to be quiet. This kid wasn't at all. I know he probably did not know he was being that loud due to his earphones being in his ears but still. We only had 3 hours of sleep the night before and if we are paying for a place to sleep, we better be able to without any interruptions. My fiancé asked which room was he in so we can talk to his parents. He proceeded to put his earphones in. This pissed my fiancé off so he walked off and decided to call front desk to handle it. We call the front desk to report that this is happening. No action took place. The kid proceeded to pour ice into the buckets for at least 5 more minutes. Throughout the night, we still could hear kids running around and other noises. We didn't feel the need to keep calling the front desk and bugging them over stuff because if they couldn't come during the ice incident, they probably would care about the kids running around. Due to this, we weren't able to get up on time to make breakfast. So, the top three reasons for staying here were a complete bust. No relaxing in pool due to the chlorine, no sleep due to noises, and no breakfast due to not being to sleep at all. When we addressed these issues to the front desk the next morning, we pretty much got told that there was nothing they can do. Just a simple sorry would have done. We got a shrugged shoulder and an attitude. I am only giving two stars due to the fact they did move us to a different room when the AC leaked. read more

Poor customer service. Had gone in face to face x. 2 to question a charge that was above the amount paid for my visit. I was told both times, that it was a "hold" fee and should come off after 10 days. When the charge remained after 10 days, I went back again, and was told "I don't know what that is, I don't see any record of that charge." The person informed me I had to speak with a manager. Then told me they weren't available for 2 days!!! read more

Came to see a relatives graduation and my family and I decided to stay here for a night. I have to say that I am very impressed with the service and staff. They were very friendly and accommodated all of our needs. Rooms and showers were very clean and beds were very nice and neat, we even had a couple of very nice notes from the staff. We arrived a little later so we did not have time to catch up on dinner but their breakfast was very tasty. They serve breakfast from 6 - 10pm which is great for anyone that need to travel earlier or wake up later. Dining room is very clean and roomy and it makes you feel like you're at home. They are always refilling so you can always have time for seconds or thirds. Something my brother and most of my family enjoyed was the do it yourself waffle maker. They had very clear instructions and lots of toppings to satisfy anyone's needs. They have vending machines on every floor so you won't go hungry and lots of healthy food options. The only thing that I did not like was the wofi. I did not want to waste my 4G and the WiFi would just not work correctly. Other than that, this is a great family friendly place and you will not be disappointed! read more
