We recently used Ultimate Granite Surfaces for our granite in an outside kitchen and bar area. We…read morewere extremely pleased. Our project was on a very limited time frame, and I wasn't sure that they would be able to complete the granite by my target date. But boy, did they deliver!!!! They have a gorgeous supply of beautiful stone, but knew I had a specific look in mind, and immediately helped us choose the perfect granite. It really was very easy and totally painless. The template was made/measured, they met with my contractor for the outdoor project and SO VERY quickly, the counter tops and bar tops were finished. It is exactly what we wanted. They are beautiful, perfectly installed, and are definitely the finishing touch. The entire team is helpful, polite, and very professional (from Janet, Pat, Judy, Josh to the install team - they were the best)! We could not be more pleased with Ultimate Granite Surfaces, and highly recommend them! Don and Cindy Whiting

The owner Erin ordered the incorrect style of siding which we didn't realize until my construction…read morecrew showed up to start the job. I called them and they couldn't get the correct siding for 2 weeks so I was forced to change colors in order to get another color rushed in in 2 days. Erin tried to blame me for her incompetence. On top of this i had to pay another$720 for the correct style that had originally told her I wanted. Then 2 days later when they went to deliver the siding to me they weren't going to leave it because now I had a dumpster in my driveway which prevented them from backing up to my garage to pick up the incorrect siding order. I'm 57 year old widow with asthma and it was 95 degrees out. I had to start hauling the incorrect siding boxes out of my garage and dragging them up the lawn closer to the driver truck and threatening lawsuit in order TY get the driver to agree to leave my siding. He said he would get into trouble with Erin but didn't want to see my get hurt. I still had to help him unload 24 boxes of siding and start loading the incorrect siding from the garage onto his truck until Blake from the office showed up. Erin made me feel like I was being held hostage from getting my job done all because of the error she made! I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Glenshaw Steel provided us with a high-quality railing. We are pleased with its stability and…read moreappearance. We are unpleased with their customer service. We chose them, in part, because they promised they could do the work by April of this year. In June, having heard nothing, we reached out to them. They explained in monotone that they were short-handed. There was no sense of responsibility on their part. After that, we again heard nothing. We had to call them repeatedly to get them to do the work. Each time the response was flat, or almost accusatory for our asking them to do their job. When they came to do the work, they were professional and courteous; but again, we are convinced they would not have done the project if we hadn't called them over and over. We finally had to show up in person to ask them to finish what they had started weeks before. For the price we paid, we expected -- at least -- some level of contrition for completing a job four months after promised, and only after being badgered to do it. So: Know that you will get high-quality work, and lousy customer service.

Prior to my visit, I had looked up certain products on Home Depot's website to determine their aisle and bay numbers in the store. Then when I was inside the store, I did not have to wander around to find the products, because I knew exactly where to walk. This store appeared to be well-stocked with appliances, tools, paint, plumbing supplies, building materials, and other merchandise. I appreciated that an employee asked me if I was finding what I needed. I used the self-checkout. I easily figured out how to scan and pay for my products. I was never to their showroom I only called them after receiving a call from our flooring installer that the porcelain tile we purchased was not to his standards and said he would not be happy with the finished result and therefor recommended getting new product. This is in the middle of a kitchen overhaul on a tight schedule. He recommended Best Tile and I called them right away. I spoke to a lady and explained my situation. I asked for help that I needed 250 sq. ft. of porcelain tile that had a wood look with gray or white washed tones. She said she would have to look and she would let me know. I asked if she could get back to me within the hour as we were in a time crunch. She said she would try and we hung up. I wasn't feeling too confident that she was going to follow-up with me soon, but to my surprise she emailed me three options all of which they had in stock. I totally loved the one and though it was more than what we wanted to spend and had spent with the first tile we were somewhat out of options and needed to make a decision. I quickly sent the email to my husband who agreed that we should get it and he left to pick it up. I called the lady back to confirm we were on the way to pick it up. The finished installed product is very beautiful and our installer commented that it was a far superior product VS our first option that we were lucky enough to return with a full refund. My only complaint is we ended up with three and a half extra cartons. When returning the three unopened cartons they charged a 15% restocking. I asked if this could be waived on account that it was a stock item, they said no that's what they charge and in fact if it was not in stock there is no returns allowed. A little steep if you ask me especially since it was an item they keep on their shelf but overall we had a positive experience with Best Tile.

There is a very clearly posted sign that says custom orders cannot be returned and that there is a restocking fee. I'm clear. I roamed around picked the tiles I liked, ordered them at the register and was told everything will be in within a week. Great! I had two full boxes extra of two different types of tile and decided that returning with a restocking fee was better than the financial loss of all of it. I walked in with my receipt and was told that nothing could be returned because it was all "special order". I said I didn't order anything special order. My receipt doesn't say special order anywhere, we were not warned it was special order by the sales person, nor were the samples marked special order. I was told that they way I should have know is that if it was "in stock" I would have picked it up that day. Not ever having worked with this store, I'm not sure how I would have known that since again no once verbalized it, it wasn't on my receipt or on the sample. $800 down the drain! Heading to The Tile Shop for the remainder of my project where full box returns are accepted for 60 days.
