I recently ordered several thousand dollars worth of tile. I will say my sales person was wonderful. There is a very clearly posted sign that says custom orders cannot be returned and that there is a restocking fee. I'm clear. I roamed around picked the tiles I liked, ordered them at the register and was told everything will be in within a week. Great! I had two full boxes extra of two different types of tile and decided that returning with a restocking fee was better than the financial loss of all of it. I walked in with my receipt and was told that nothing could be returned because it was all "special order". I said I didn't order anything special order. My receipt doesn't say special order anywhere, we were not warned it was special order by the sales person, nor were the samples marked special order. I was told that they way I should have know is that if it was "in stock" I would have picked it up that day. Not ever having worked with this store, I'm not sure how I would have known that since again no once verbalized it, it wasn't on my receipt or on the sample. $800 down the drain! This place was a bit of a lifesaver and helped us out of a pickle. That being said it came at a premium. I was never to their showroom I only called them after receiving a call from our flooring installer that the porcelain tile we purchased was not to his standards and said he would not be happy with the finished result and therefor recommended getting new product. This is in the middle of a kitchen overhaul on a tight schedule. He recommended Best Tile and I called them right away. I spoke to a lady and explained my situation. I asked for help that I needed 250 sq. ft. of porcelain tile that had a wood look with gray or white washed tones. She said she would have to look and she would let me know. I asked if she could get back to me within the hour as we were in a time crunch. She said she would try and we hung up. I wasn't feeling too confident that she was going to follow-up with me soon, but to my surprise she emailed me three options all of which they had in stock. I totally loved the one and though it was more than what we wanted to spend and had spent with the first tile we were somewhat out of options and needed to make a decision. I quickly sent the email to my husband who agreed that we should get it and he left to pick it up. I called the lady back to confirm we were on the way to pick it up. The finished installed product is very beautiful and our installer commented that it was a far superior product VS our first option that we were lucky enough to return with a full refund. My only complaint is we ended up with three and a half extra cartons. When returning the three unopened cartons they charged a 15% restocking. I asked if this could be waived on account that it was a stock item, they said no that's what they charge and in fact if it was not in stock there is no returns allowed. A little steep if you ask me especially since it was an item they keep on their shelf but overall we had a positive experience with Best Tile. read more

Best Tile has tons of colorful options, unlike some of the other places around that stick to beige and gray. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and can have orders filled quickly. Dawna was able to help me find tile when another company that our contractor uses was unable to fill an order and was holding up our bathroom project for months. The tile took less than a week from ordering to delivery. Ordering from Best Tile is also helpful since they know what is needed for proper installation and can recommend items like that funky schluter strip that you didn't know you needed, and a sill....all of this stuff is in stock, which makes life easier for us and our tile guy, and saves a lot of time. She was unprofessional and I felt like I was being an inconvenience. I went in last night because my master bathroom is being renovated and I have been tile shopping. I visited Best Tile several times throughout my kitchen renovation. I was on the hunt for an inexpensive subway tile ($2.99/sq ft, I believe?) and found a good product here. -The selection is very large but organized in a confusing manner to me. I found it very hard to browse without asking for assistance. -I was helped by three different women who offered varying degrees of helpfulness. The first woman was aloof, while the other two women were more helpful. However, I did purchase a tile - after showing one of the more helpful ladies my plans - that did not have the proper bullnose options to work around my kitchen windows. If I had known this in advance, I would not have purchased this product and would have spent more money to find one with the appropriate bullnose that I needed. -Obtaining the product takes a little time as it requires a drive around to the side of the building. I was rung up incorrectly one time - and the second time accidentally told the associate the wrong color - and both times found myself driving back and forth between the storefront and warehouse locations. -The return window is very limited - 30 or 60 days, I believe - so I have a number of unused items but am assuming that I won't be able to return them as it's been nearly six months. My fault, I know, but the project wasn't completed within the very short return time period that's given. I'm thankful to have purchased my simple off white subway tile at such an affordable price but would've been willing to spend more money to have received more guidance throughout the project. Albeit it's called best tile, we did not get any tiles from here because they were pricey. They do sell other things like grout once and some materials for renovations. This is the only retailer where we can get a durock shower system when we were remodeling our bathroom. At first, they gave us a hard time about it because only a few workers were familiar with durock. Some would say we can't order it and then some would say we can. Finally, someone said they can order everything for us. Probably because my hubby mentioned that they were listed on the Durock website as a retailer. Unfortunately, the shipping itself was costly at about $300+ and this is ship to store not even to the house. Everything came in within their estimated time. We were happy about that and made another order by phone for a drain and that also came in within a few days. It was also disappointing to have a retailer who is not that knowledgeable about the product they're selling and can't help us troubleshoot. read more

Best Tile has a TON of options for any kind of tile in every kind of project. The store is pretty expansive, so it's a bit difficult to browse without guidance; however, even walking in during a busy time, an associate was sent over to us in just a few minutes. The sales associate was knowledgeable about different kinds of tiles, price points, installation questions, and was just generally very helpful. She was also patient, as this is our first tiling project. While Best Tile does seem to stray toward high-end prices, we found plenty of options in our price range. I'm a little nervous about purchasing and not being able to return - but all the free samples we took home should make the decision easy. Overall, we had a pleasant shopping experience! read more

While the tile is beautiful and plentiful, their customer service and policies are horrible. After puchasing over $1,000 worth of tile they had the audacity to call and say they mis-priced the quote and I owed them $150 more. Then, after the job was finished, I ended up with a full box of tile left over which they refused to take back. Since the puchase was based on their estimates I ended up paying them hundreds for tile that is now sitting in my garage. My advice is to go and look at their tile but shop at a more customer friendly store. read more

The first time we went to visit best tile, we pulled up at 2:57pm on a Saturday. We were parked right in front of the place. After we got the kids out of the car, we were about to go in at 2:59, a lady locked the door and walked away. I get that they didn't want folks walking in at 3:00 and we could have been there for another hour, but just stick your head out and say "I'm sorry, we are closing for the day in 30 seconds. Can you come back this coming week." Also, who closes at 3pm on a Saturday, when you are closed on Sunday?......Well we decided to give them another shot. My wife was impressed with their selection and purchased about 1500 dollars worth of stone there. The sales lady never mentioned that we couldn't return the tile if we didn't like it because it was special order. The original sample was lighter then the stone we received, so we returned it. The warehouse guys gave me the hardest time saying that it was pretty close to the other one. Even if it was, which it wasn't, they argued with me and tried to make me feel bad for returning it. It was like they were doing me a favor for returning it. They ended up charging me for the shipping of the product anyway, so what do they care. I ended up buying something else there, but I have been annoyed with them from the beginning. It seems like they have a decent contractor business and don't care as much for the retail side of things. read more
