It's a great hotel in the perfect location. It's close to everything. You can walk everywhere. The breakfast is amazing. The best I've ever had in a hotel. There's of course scrambled eggs, ham, sausages and haggis which is pretty good. Then there's various jams, some cheese, sausages, Nutella and so on. There are various fruit and vegetables as well. You can even make your own salad in the morning. Cereals are pleantyfull. There are also waffles, muffins, croissants and breads. The beds are pretty firm. I personally would've liked some softer beds. The water pressure in the shower is pretty much non existent. The cleanliness was fine but could of course be improved in some areas. Overall I would really recommend this hotel. read more

This hotel is new and central to everything, and is about 15 min from GLA. Pros: -Checkin was super easy with my HH mobile app -the front desk person was friendly and welcoming -free breakfast is always appreciated -the fitness center is clean and well maintained -our room literally smelled brand new -ample street parking (even on a Sat night) -there's a Pure Gym right across the street if you're serious about fitness -several very good restaurants are nearby Cons: -no parking garage I would certainly come back! read more

It was either Adam Smith or Montell Jordan who said "This is how we do it" and the Hampton in Glasgow does it well! I stayed six nights here and cannot compliment the staff enough. From check in to check out, everyone was friendly and helpful. Arriving around 11 am, I didn't think our room would be ready but mercifully, we were able to check in right away. A quick shower in the clean and spacious bath restored my feeling of humanity. My friend and I shared a twin room on the fifth floor. It was a corner room with lots of light and nice views. The only drawback, and this is what keeps the place from getting five stars, is that there is no place to put anything except on the floor. There was not a luggage stand and no drawers so we both had to keep our suitcases on the floor and live out of those. Dirty clothes were stacked neatly in a pile on the floor. The meager closet only had five hangars. This is a serious drawback if you are staying somewhere for six days. I need some place to put my clothes other than the floor! The beds were firm, which I liked. The gym was small and only had one treadmill, which was a bummer. There was an elliptical and some free weights as well. Our room and the entire facility were kept very clean. Morning breakfast service in the lobby was typical Hampton and included a waffle maker. I don't think they'd win any awards for the runny eggs but the bacon and haggis were good and there was plenty of toast, juice, cheese, cereal and yogurt. The staff who watched the front desk and cleared the breakfast area could not have been nicer! They really make the place and everyone seems to take pride of ownership in working there. Good job on management's role in fostering that sensibility. Location was perfect. Less than 10 minutes to either Glasgow Central or Queen St train stations. A short walk to George Square and Buchanan St. A 10 minute bus ride to the west end (with buses stopping right out front). I liked this place very much and would go back. My only wish is that they had places to put clothes and luggage but otherwise, I give this a very enthusiastic thumbs up! read more

This hotel is modern and uber central for everything in Glasgow. It's ideal if you're a tourist or even staying in Glasgow just because! Sauchiehall street is literally a 2/3 minute walk straight across the road and boasts a load of shops on one street from M&S to Taco Bell which makes the location of the hotel perfect. Buchanan street is about 7 minutes up the road from the hotel also which is great if you're into shopping. It's also close enough to Glasgow airport (10 minutes by taxi or 20/25 minutes by bus). It's cheap and for a 3-star hotel you'd actually think it was a 4 or 5-star hotel as it is run so well. Breakfast is good and the staff are very hospitable and happy to help with any concern you might have during your stay here. On the flight over I spilled coffee all over my hoodie and I asked how much it would be to have it laundered and they volunteered to do it for free which they didn't have to! read more

Loved this hotel. Well located, friendly staff, clean, a good price, 24/7 bar and snacks, free breakfast, free wifi - wow! Definitely nicer than some 4 star properties I've stayed in. Yes, the room was lacking a fridge and a trouser press - probably those two things would be the last two ticks they need to give themselves the extra star, but a) no one needs a trouser press and b) fridges just give off heat and break anyway. We were up on the 4th floor, tucked in a little dead end which meant it was so quiet. There are some nightclubs/bars nearby so perhaps lower floors suffer from noise, but no problems for us! The only bad thing I have to say is that the hotel is on the top of a hill, and after too much Glaswegian fried food it was a bit of a trudge - but that's totally my own problem! read more

I think I stayed in a Hampton many years ago during an American road trip, but I'm not certain. I have certainly stayed in many Hilton hotels before, so I can in with s level of service which I was expecting. The staff here surpassed all expectations. Sometimes in a hotel you get staff who are friendly, but these seemed genuinely friendly. A sure change from the usual forced smile you sometimes get. Frankly, every staff member I had were a cut above any staff members I've interacted with at other hotels. As for the hotel itself, it was spotless. I have no faults to list. I would have liked a fridge in the room, and I'm never a fan of the semi transparent doors in the bathroom, but that's the star Tati g and the modern style. The room was spacious, had loads of power ports and the bed was comfortable. Next time in Glasgow, I won't have to consider where to stay - it'll be here. read more

Everyone working here was awesome to us. - Check in was super easy and efficient. - The night manager was easy to talk to and taught us a lot about Scotland (local laws, Irn brew, etc). - Nicholas helped us book a distillery tour and went out of his way to get us things during breakfast Facilities are super clean and well maintained. The gym equipment is all new (treadmill, bike, elliptical, weights), and there's a tv in the gym with tons of channels to make the workout go by faster. They also have yoga balls, dumb bells, a foam roller, weighted balls. They also have snacks/food and drinks available 24 hours a day with very reasonable wine and scotch prices. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable, and I like when the blanket had a duvet rather than the sheet and unwashed comforter on top. The location is very convenient, too. read more

I stayed in 5 hotels on my trip around Scotland, and this was by far the best. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was very good. I liked having a 24-hour restaurant and bar available. Also, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The hotel location is excellent: a 7-minute walk to Buchanan St. and George Square. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Glasgow. read more

Hamptons in the USA could learn a lesson from this hotel. Stayed in multiple hotels in Glasgow and I have to say this is my new favorite. My wife and I stayed here for three nights during our vacation. It's about 20 to 30 minutes from the airport if there is light traffic. We arrived after our overnight flight from the US and were very tired. The staff greeted us warmly and while they were getting our paperwork in order, they offered us breakfast. I frequently stay in Hampton Inns in the US but the breakfast buffet here was a real Scottish meal including Haggis, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, various cereals, breads, pastries, and other food. After breakfast we checked into our room. The rooms are smaller than in the US, but still very adequate. For those not used to energy conservation in Europe, the Hampton has you insert your card key into a slot to use the lights and when exiting the room you pull it out thus turning off all room lights when you leave. The hotel was opened in May 2016 so it's brand new. It's located in the city center close to the Queen Street train station and Buchanan Street, the major shopping area as well as one block away from another major pedestrian shopping area. A great, clean, quiet, affordable hotel for business and leisure travelers. I agree with Brad M, the USA Hampton Inns can learn a thing or two from this hotel.
