Herve Thomas is a thief and a liar. I Purchased an Ebony B3 with two matching leslie's back in May 2021. The organ was paid in full and as of July 2024 he has not delivered the organ. If you order an organ from him, he will not deliver it. I had to get an attorney to recoup my money. I am hoping this review will help someone else to not go through the same experience I had with this crook and thief. Best Hammond repair technician in the nation. Hervé their repair tech is a hugely honest and brilliant asset to Hammond organ owners everywhere. He drove a very long distance to my home and arrived exactly on time, had with him all the tools and new parts needed for a very complicated repair of my 36 year old Hammond Elegante, and after he was finished he charged me LESS than his own original price quote. Now that is one honest, decent businessman. His knowledge of, and experience with, all Hammonds is unequaled and that translates to an efficient repair, fast service and lower than expected costs for me the consumer. Vintage Hammond Organs, Redlands, CA Beware of doing business with this company I was sold a defective Organ . After speaking to a couple of nationally known technicians they informed me that this company has a very bad reputation. They would not attempt to fix the Organ Based on their reputation. Buyer beware Here is a quote from a nationally known tech and member of MITA No he is known for throwing things together and hoping for the best. I honestly don't know how he hasn't been sued Neither are countless others. He stopped doing church conventions because so many pastors are after him I stopped and refuse to do warranty work for him. He sold another church a "b3" that was a Bv with a100 guts and half of the notes where dead. Leslie had severe termite damage and was missing parts amp was completely untouched and distorted. They made him take it back He burned all bridges. I don't know a single respected tech that will touch anything he sells Or he low balls them on the repairs"l Here are just a few of the issues I had when the a100/Leslie 145 arrived. BTW I FILED A DISPUTE WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND GOT A PROVISIONAL CREDIT . Herve has yet to refund Visa. 1. Huge volume drop when switching from MAIN TO ECHO. 2. When ECHO only is selected the volume is quite soft but no hum....When switching to ENSEMBLE OR MAIN you get an annoying 60 cycle hum..... 3. When applying more than half of the expression pedal with the leslie amp on less than half you get distortion from the leslie. 4. Due to the fact that you put a solid back on the organ with no venting, with MAIN only selected, when playing a low C with substantial volume and drawbar setting of 848 selected you get sympathetic vibration throughout the cabinetry. Herve you told me that the vented back board is not available. I'm sure that in your quest to save a buck at my expense you didn't tell me that they are available on the internet. A tech that I spoke with told me that with no venting you create an infinite baffle. 5. When selecting the upper 5 drawbars only in any given group you get little or no sound in the upper octaves. I suspect this is why there is little or no difference when switching between presets. All of the tones are not being generated and sent to the preset circuitry. 6. When I asked for a heel rest i expected a NEW rail. The rail obviously shows wear . Trying to save a buck again. 7. The half moon switches don't match. The knob on the switch levers are different. 8. Quality control is poor.....I had to spot a chip or blemish on the music rack through digital photos . Also I had to find a lack of wood stain on pedal board box around the left rail mount through your digital photos. Herve aren't you inspecting your work?? Herve, when I spoke with some very reputable technicians and told them I purchased the organ out of california they immediately mentioned you by name and said you have a reputation for this type of issues as well as problems with leasing to institutions. And more!! They also said they wouldn't touch anything coming from your shop....When I heard this I knew that I had made a mistake and had to return the instrument. You can't imagine how disappointed I was to realize that I just got an instrument from a less than reputable company.....Herve you remember how excited I was !!! What a let down...an instrument with issues and a company with a flawed reputation throughout the industry.....I had to find out from people that told me about all of this!! What a let down.... Herve, I may be naive but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt because you seemed to want to please me and my requests. I don't want to believe you are a schuyster. I want a full expeditious refund please and I will give you a good review on google. I would hope that in the future you would take measures to make sure that the product you sell is everything you say it is and more. Quality control may not be important to an institution but a professional musician will know the difference. I believe the full refund would be $6594 please. This place is an organ players heaven. The have wonderful selections of almost every Hammond model From A-100's B3's C3's C2's B2's you name it. I had the privilege to come to the shop and play a C2 and oh how I loved it! the tones and sound and the feel of the organ were so perfect and with the Leslie 147 next to it just made it even better the organ had a rich tone but an even richer bass. Then I was shown around the shop and seen other organs that were in the inventory and I was just amazed that I was in a room with multiple Hammond Organs. The owner Herve Thomas was very friendly and very helpful and answered all my questions.
