This wasn't Norman having a "bad day", because he attended our home on 3 different occasions and treated us poorly each time. We did speak to the owner of the business, Myles, who ended up providing us with an invoice and apologized for Norman's behaviour. Unfortunately, Norman left a bad taste in our mouths and we will be taking our business elsewhere for any future services.

Thomas from this company was professional, kind, took the time to help me and even explained where to look and get the help I needed, so even though he wasn't the right business he was kind enough to help point me to the right direction. Just because of that service I'm saving his info to call him again when I have a heating or cooling issue.

They called me back promptly and gave me a price that I thought was fair, so I decided to dispatch their technician. I then asked them if they could give me advise of other things I could do to keep the noise down and they said their technician, Wes would come with some ideas. Well, Wes was excellent. Extremely courteous and helpful and went above and beyond what I asked him to do. After months of research and two HVAC technicians, he gave me the smartest advice I've had. 5 years ago, I bought a Navien combi heater unit from them and in those 5 years, I've had them come…read morein 4 times to service the unit. On 3 of those times, they were extremely inefficient and wasted a great deal of time by doing the following: - calling their manager to get instructions on how the unit worked - bringing an instruction manual and spending several hours reading it ( later we found out that this person was a trainee and was learning on the spot ) - during the lengthy maintenance service, we'd peak in on them and noticed they were just sitting there staring blankly at the unit for over 15 minutes!! Like he was praying to the Navien gods or something!! Basically, we got the impression that they would take an inordinate amount of time servicing the unit in order to charge us an excessive amount for an anual maintanence. Each time they visited us, the service cost was around $500. On one occasion they had to do a special descaling process on the unit and that costed $650. We were really suspicious of why a 5 year old unit would require such costly maintenance ( our prior unit was 30 years old and only required servicing 3 times in that time span ), so we called around to other companies in the area and got a quote from them and none of them were quoting us anywhere near the amount the Good Gooys were. Just be very careful when they send over a "specialist" to take a look at your unit. They may be sending you an intern and even when they do send an experienced repairman, they seem to have a minimum service time that they'll spend looking at your unit regardless of the condition the unit is in. Don't be surprised if they charge you $500 to wipe some oil stains off your unit and quote you for 6 hours of work. EDIT: I just added proof that I did in fact purchase a system from The Good Guys as well as an invoice for one of their visits.

I am not easy to please and rarely bother with reviews but this gentleman deserves my time. Pay attention other service companies this is how its done. I phoned - Andrew answered. He came almost right away. Ascertained the issue very quickly. His rate for the initial service call is good, fair and slightly less than others. He attempted an immediate repair with a circuit board in his service vehicle. It wasn't quiet right and showed me why. He gave me the cost of the new board and said it would be ordered the next day. He could not have known delivery in these covid times and sure enough it was delayed and CALLED AND UPDATED ME. It arrived a week later. He came immediately and installed it. Heres why I have reviewed ... He took it upon himself to order an air proving switch, an item we thought could also be the problem, the new one would interface with the new board seamlessly. He did not up sell me, he prevented another possible issue. He then discounted the cost of both to bring the total to, or very close to, the original quote. I remain impressed. This issue persisted for over six months. Despite multiple service visits, the problem remained unresolved. I was repeatedly told the system was functioning properly, even though it clearly was not. He would see it at 78F and claim it was normal. Eventually, many months later, Royal Pro Heating paid for a third-party HVAC specialist to assess the system. That technician identified serious deficiencies and commented that whoever installed the system "doesn't know what they are doing." Following that, further repairs were made--including the installation of a missing filter dryer--but the system still does not cool the home sufficiently. I also raised concerns about inflated charges--for example, a $499 cost for an Ecobee thermostat that typically retails for significantly less--and the delays, mismanagement, and lack of accountability throughout the process. I formally requested partial compensation. In the end, the compensation offered was not sufficient or fair, and the matter remains unresolved.
