Came in to have my nail gelled before a wedding reception. Called ahead and asked if they can do mani pedi at the same time - they said yes, so I came. Turn out that they could not do it at the same time. This appt went over 2 hours and I missed my other scheduled appt (one hour later). The result was awful! 2 days later they started just falling off and now we are 7 days later and I have only 3.5 nails left. I asked for French and the gel color was not the nice pale pink but rather candy pink and the french line was not the same to all fingers. Thin / Thick, round / triangle - even though I asked to change the color right away - they did not. The result was so bad! Stay away.

The woman who wrote the review and I had vastly different experiences on that day. My experience was as it has been for 15 years - professional, experienced and collaborative. The woman and her mother were clearly not regular clients at a high end salon which is not a judgment as much as an observation. As the client said, "everything was fine and everyone got along" until they went to pay the bill which was clearly more than they expected. Annmarie is extremely professional and was somehow managing to remain patient with this woman's unrelenting demands and criticisms. Annmarie is unconcerned with who is right or wrong, only that her clients expectations are met. I watched Meghan - the receptionist - address the woman's concerns with kindness, empathy and professionalism and consistent with salon policy. Anthony is the reason the salon is the long-time success that it is in a community known for chasing "the next best thing" and treats his staff and clients with the utmost respect. The salon and people this interloper describes is not my Salon Dematteo. I suggest she find a salon that she is more comfortable with. As a transplanted NY'er I searched a very long time to find talent comparable to my salon in NYC. Fifteen years later I have, and would, follow Annemarie and Salon DeMatteo anywhere.

I walked right in on my lunch break and I waited only about five minutes for service. As I was waiting I noticed the salon was very clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff member that did my nails was very thorough and she did an great job. I even thought they we're a little better than my regular nail salon I go to. She gave me a very relaxing hand massage that was delightful. I didn't have time to stay for my pedicure and my eyebrows so I made an appointment to come after work. After work I came right in and they took me in right away. There are a variety of different pedicures you can choose from. I just chose a regular pedicure and it came with a ten minute massage which again very relaxing and delightful. It seemed like she was hitting all the right spots. As my nails were drying under the dryer, she asked me did I want another massage as my feet were drying. You know my answer was absolutely!!! It was only a five minute massage but it was very good. The service was great and the staff were very nice. I think I might be changing nail salons.

For some reason the woman who gave me my pedi cut my big toe nail extremely short and in the process really cut me up and did some damage under the nail bed. I'm on vacation now and walking hurts (not great when you want to walk on the beach and around town) and I've been waking up at night with throbbing pain in my big toe. I'm now just praying it isn't infected. What is the point of getting a pre-vacation pedicure if it ends up hurting you and making you miserable and worried the whole time? I should mention the man who gave me my manicure did a nice job and was very nice but I can't risk going back to a place that may injure me or worse, give me an infection.

On top of everything, I was there for 30 minutes after the posted closing time and they never once rushed me.
