Do not do business with this place!!! I drove 45 minutes for a haircut to find out that they don't take cash. It was not stated when I booked the appointment. The staff was lazy and wouldn't make any arrangements even though they told me that I was welcome to tip in cash. The owner called me after I left and told me it was their policy not to turn customers away yet that is exactly what the staff there chose to do! The owner took the time to call me but she did nothing to remedy the situation. I was sitting in the parking lot when she called so she could have called her employee and told them to take cash according to her policy but that was never an option. Hammer and Nails Grooming was a really comfortable and relaxing place to be. From the dim lighting to the complimentary glass of whiskey, the atmosphere was great. I went in for the full hands and foot experience--my first time ever. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really enjoyed the treatment. While it's not something I can fit into my regular budget, I'd definitely go back at least once a year as a birthday treat. It's worth trying at least once, and chances are, you'll enjoy it enough to return. The only downside to my experience was the checkout process. As I was getting ready to pay, a group of employees were near the exit, which made me a bit uncomfortable. The person handling my payment asked if I wasn't leaving a tip, even though I had already given the service provider a 50% tip. I didn't feel like I should have to explain myself, so I simply said no--but I definitely noticed the looks I got from the staff afterward. I have never and that domestically and internationally have never been cared for and tended to as elegantly as I received at Hammer and Nails. I received a gift card to this place from my wife for my birthday. I had already been looking for a spot where I could pamper myself in a more manly/masculine type atmosphere. This place knocked a lot of things out of the park. The staff was amazing from when I arrived as I had not been here before. I got a short tour of the different spaces and then got helped by my barber. I hate I don't remember her name but she was amazing (Latina lady with curly hair and tattoos). I came in with good expectations but I feel like I have been horribly failed. I scheduled an appointment with Ira, who was recommended to me by the male receptionist due to him working well with long hair. I talked to Ira briefly on Instagram, informing him of my hair situation and what I had hoped for. When I come in, I came in early just incase but my appointment at 12, didn't start until 12:25 pm I came here for a first time client premium haircut. When I sit down, Ira looks at my hair and tells me we can't do fhe cut I wanted. I informed him that I tols him about my hair situation amd that he agreed to it over instagram and then he brushes my comments by saying I should have come in for the consult. Premium fets shampoo, conditioner, cut, and towel service. I only got the cut and it was awful. I feel awful. I literally spent 4 years growing my hair out and now it's at a length I don't like or know how to deal with. I literally have an interview on Monday which is the whole reason why I came here. I only got the cut and none of the premium services. I literally left the store crying. I don't know what to do or if I even want to come back here. My whole day is ruined. read more

Absolute perfection! I took my high school aged son to Hammer & Nails as part of his self care date. We were instantly impressed with the warm welcome we received and the decor of the entrance. We met his service professional and she was very nice and gave great info. As we walked through the area where they shave and cut, all of the barbers/stylists spoke. When we got to the hand/foot room we again were impressed with the decor. The lighting was perfect and the room smelled great. The chairs were comfy and the themed touches were nicely done. We were walked through what he would receive, offered drinks, and handed a remote (if we wanted to watch tv, I put on the football game). The manicure and pedicure was exactly what he needed. Based on conversation with the staff it seems to be at the franchisee's direction.
