In need of a new barber, took a chance on Barber Society recently, after reading the positive reviews on here. I booked an appointment with the owner, Lu (due my availability) through the shop's intuitive website, and I'm glad I did. Having been in the business for over a decade, Lu's expertise made me feel at ease and I knew I was going to be taken care of. Looking forward to the next one! Barber Society recently moved locations, to a plaza along Western Ave that's easy to find. read more

I scheduled a pretty last minute cut with Lu on the Squire app on a Friday and was grateful to find an opening. Lu was very welcoming and on-time with my appointment. What I appreciated most was the consultation of what look I am going for and explanation of the entire process up-front. It was clear that Lou has a wealth of knowledge with hair and a memorable barber experience. I just found my new regular spot! read more

Radix - Hair salon - Barbers Near Me - Gardena, California

I scheduled an appointment with Kennie for a Premium Service only to have it suddenly get rescheduled to the next day without any feedback from me. Then after I showed up 15 minutes early to the new time & date (receiving an email receipt for the service), it gets canceled 15 minutes AFTER it was supposed to start. I knocked on the door and called their number at my scheduled time only to receive voice mail. I'm definitely not happy. read more

Ever seen the AMC Nicole Kidman commercial? Kennie the equivalent to that in barber form. Before I met Kennie, I was always afraid of voicing what I liked and didn't like about haircut and often left feeling defeated. Kennie changed that for me, I leave her chair feeling like a f**king model down a runway. She takes the time to tailor the cut to your head. It's not a job for her, it's her artistry. Don't think twice, kennie is the GOAT. And the best part? She's funny ASF. read more

Kennie always takes care of me when I come in! She asks questions and looks at photos as well as gives ideas and suggestions based on what I am looking for when I get my hair done. She always has the best product recommendations. When I leave, I feel so confident and appreciate the time she takes to make me feel my best! read more

Radix - Hair cut, color, and style - Barbers Near Me - Gardena, California

Unfortunately this place info is not easily accessible. I tried to stop by just to find the place closed (door on 3rd floor is locked). Signs show they are on 2nd floor but they are not, I had to ask someone on 2nd floor to find it. Totally ok I can figure stuff out but then I tried calling twice and straight to voicemail. Yelp page shows "walk-ins" welcomed but obviously it's best to make reservations on their website. What a waste of my time. read more

I've been going to Kennie (Keneisha) for about five months, and I can confidently say she is AMAZING. She has always come through with my haircuts and truly wants you to look and feel your best. I'm extremely sensitive about my hair (Sorry Kennie), and she always makes sure to understand what I'm looking for. If I don't know what I'm looking for, she'll give me recommendations that are best suited for my hair type and face shape. She has always come through for me and I am truly glad to have met such a wonderful human being. read more

I had a great experience with this Lu. I got a great cut and the barber was very professiona; 10/10

If I can rate it as 10 stars I would! Booked my husband with Kennie for full service which included a haircut, style, and facial. Booking an appointment is thru Squire. Kennie took her time to get my husband's hair cut which i loved. My husband enjoyed his full experience here. My husband states that the facial is also very relaxing which almost made him go to sleep . This place is also very clean and chill. They are located at the third floor of the building. Location is not hard to find. Just have to follow the barber sign. Will definitely come back and highly recommend Kennie for booking! Just fyi this would also be a great idea for a gift to your love ones! Book them an appointment with Kennie now you wont be disappointed! read more

Hands down this place is awesome! As a barber I always get asked who cuts my hair? Well here you go! Keneisha (kennie red) usual cuts my hair, and I've never been let down! She's willing to take the tome to listen to exactly what you want and take the time to execute what you described. Most barbers I've been to want to do things the quickest most efficient way. Which is fine if u want a quick $10 cut. But kennie took the time to understand my hair, the texture, the shape and the style I want. She killed it, finishing with a wash and style! And the shop itself is set up really nice and aesthetically pleasing, it makes you feel like your in a private studio getting cut like a celebrity! If you're looking for a great shop to start going to 10/10 I recommend here! read more

Lou understood the assignment! Listened to what my end goal was (growing out my hair. worried about the 'in-between stage') and helped come up with a plan to get there. Cut came out great. Shop is also a really nice space. First barbershop I've been to where they shampoo after the cut, which is great! Highly recommend. read more

Well.. Kenisha made my son feel so comfortable. She helped feel confident. Very happy with the experience and result.

My first time getting a shave here. They're located on the second floor and have a bright open space. Kennie was great and very friendly. The shampoo at the end was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back. So glad there's a place like this in the area. read more

DON'T SLEEP ON THIS BARBERSHOP. ITS AMAZING. BEST CUT OF YOUR LIFE. Lou made me feel so comfortable and gave me a cut far beyond my expectations. I haven't felt this good and content about a haircut in years! Lou asks the right questions and LISTENS to what you have to say and want. Extremely professional, talented, humble and amazing personality! There was not one moment of silence during my cut! This barber shop is none like I've ever seen, aesthetically pleasing and it's a legit community for people interested in becoming a barber! They host classes on starting up your business and techniques! This place is amazing! I promise you will not regret coming here! read more

I used to hate getting haircuts. That changed when I started getting my haircut by Kenisha!!! I will never forget the first time she cut my haircut: it was stylish, fresh, and exactly how I wanted it!! I was blown away by the awesome look of the cut. This was the beginning of many awesome haircuts. I had finally found a barber that delivered exactly what I wanted and felt good about the haircut. What makes Kenisha a special barber is that she goes beyond just cutting your hair as you tell her. She cuts your hair how you tell her, but she also uses her creativity, her barber skills, assesses your head shape and hair, and comes up with a cut that is suited just for you. Just like a tailor creates fitted suits, Kenisha creates fitted haircuts!! Kenisha is a gifted barber in that she can deliver an awesome haircut regardless of your gender or age. She does it all!!! I love getting haircuts now and it's all because of Kenisha's finesse in cutting my hair. If you are not getting your hair cut by Kenisha, you are missing out! Go here once and you'll find a barber/stylist for life! Seriously, Keneisha is someone who takes her time to ensure your hair is taken care of. She's attentive and honest. It's attention to detail and professional. The location is super nice and extremely welcoming. It's a great setup they have at Barber Society... Highly, highly recommend. read more

But as soon as I found Barber society which is up hidden you have to climb the stairs to find it. Loui was great from the beginning greeting me and making me feel like I was right at home. ^^^Anyone leaving a review based of personal fallacies is as useful as a knife in a soup. If you are purposely just trying to hurt someone's business at least be smart and try not to sound like a bitter loser and bring up personal info on a business review. You lose all and any credibility in your word. Loui is one of the best if not THE BEST barber in West Hollywood. Her combination of urban style coupled with the old fashioned way of barbering has rendered an amazing style only high profile celebrities would be seen with. Anyone looking to have a more youthful and stylish appearance should look no further! Loui the barber is your man. Trust me, it's like magic! After Loui is done with you, you will notice the difference in the way people look and admire your fresh new look. The shop is always clean and well kept.
