Talented staff, awesome ambiance and the customer service is stellar! Have never had a bad experience. Even though I'm pretty far away, making the trip for my kids is worth it. read more

Terrible experience. I had an appointment for 4:15 pm and I was told that Omar would be with me soon. I asked for him again at 4:30 pm and they said he won't be able to cut my hair. I do not recommend this place at all because they are not on time and not reliable read more

It's Saturday night and we are heading out for a night on the town. I have my first beard at 43 years of age. Not going to lie I am your typical OC Newport guy that was convinced Art of Shaving at South Coast Plaza was the only place to go as all the barbers I tried in Orange County plain sucked for $30-$65. I know enough that a true Barber like Gabriel at Press Box has spent 1500 hours in barber school to master his trad read more

This place really doesn't care about customer service and is selective of their clients. Its not a classy place filled with respect and ethics like most places. I made an appointment and they kept me and my son waiting for an hour. I was desperate because he had his bday the next day so we waited to get my son's haircut. He even charged me full price for making an appointment. They did not even apologize and I feel like they were intentionally trying to provoke or anger me so I don't come back. It was a good opportunity for me as a father to teach my kid about poor business ethics, respect, and customer service. No problem, we won't be coming back. read more

I have been going here since 2019, I was originally referred to them by my cousin, nothing but positive things to say about this barbershop, from my barber Gabe to everyone else that cuts there. I have used Chris on a few occasions when Gabe is out of town, as they say "he has hands" , I was very impressed with the fade he gave me & now one of my boys travel with me from DTLA to get cut by him. Between Gabe to Chris to all the others, you will be well taken care of read more

Would definitely recommend coming here. Great haircuts and great customer service. The owner Gabriel runs the business very well. 5 stars.

Ive been going to Ray for a good couple of years now. He doesnt have attitude, respectful, listens to what haircut you want. The haircuts are always lined up good, fade is fresh. And if you have thinner hair or are receding...... Ray does a very good job of working around that and making you look normal lol. Nothing against the other main guys in here, SOMETIMES they can display attitude and you dont feel welcome. I didnt feel like that with Ray just being 100% honest ! Unfortunately it will be my last cutt from Ray because im moving but I would highly recommend anyone to go to Ray ! read more

Way overpriced for the quality of the cut. Migos barber shop and a few others in the area will give you a clean and crisp cut for at least $20 cheaper. No attitudes either, just good clean cuts read more

I have been getting my haircut by Gabe Gonzalez since I was 16, and I am 40 now, so that tells you how I feel about his quality of work. Press Box is a South Bay institution and should be appreciated for its vintage feel and vibes. If you want a quality cut by great barbers while chilling in a sports bar atmosphere, you have to go check out Gabe and his team. Thank you, guys, for being authentic and being part of the community. read more

I just have to give a shoutout to the Press Box Barber Shop because they have been my go-to place for my two boys' haircuts for the past six years. Franco is our main guy but they are all great. The barbers there are absolutely amazing at delivering top-notch fades and great fresh cuts. Their skills are on another level! What truly sets Press Box apart is the fantastic atmosphere. If you like the Lakers, this is your spot. The barbers are not only talented but also incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's such a positive experience every time we visit. I can't emphasize enough how highly I recommend Press Box Barber Shop. If you're in need of great fade, this is the place to go. read more

This barber shop is great! My 4yo son and I needed haircuts before a wedding and a road trip this weekend, but our regular barber was out of town. I was late getting home from a meeting, and most barber shops were already closed. I needed to find a barber shop that was open later could fit in me and my son with a 7:30pm arrival. As luck would have it, this barber shop was open until 8pm, and when I called ahead to inquire, they said there were six people ahead of us, but if we went in and waited, they would gladly stay after closing time to give us both haircuts. Amazing! We arrived and sat down, waited our turn, and had the pleasure of having our haircuts by Christian. He cut my hair first -- starting about eight minutes after closing time -- and it turned out great. He even gave me a nice beard trim, and shaped it up. My son had his haircut next, and it turned out amazingly. Christian finished our haircuts a few minutes before 9pm. When we left, the barbers were still there, cutting people's hair until everybody -- even people who arrived after us! -- got their haircuts. When we got home, and my son was excited to show off his stylish haircut to Mama. Thank you Christian for staying an hour after closing to cut our hair! We appreciate it very much. Anybody reading this, especially if you need a haircut after other places are closed, head on over to Press Box Barber Shop! Christian was great, and I'm sure the other barbers are great, too. read more

Super solid barber shop. A lot of the barbers here are competent and friendly. Much like a typical barber shop, this place often has barbershop talk and it's always fun to listen to or join in on. My go-to guy here is Chris - he's punctual, sharp and professional. Tom here is also very good and is a super cool dude but our availability doesn't often line up so I don't work with him any more. Gabe here is the main man and he runs the business well though I've never gotten a cut by him before. It's hard to go wrong stepping into this shop, I highly recommend! read more

Waited over 1 1/2 hours and never got a haircut. They're probably good bc there still people waiting but I couldn't wait any longer. Sunday morning at 10 am seemed like a reasonable time and didn't think there would be a lot of ppl. Maybe I'll try another day read more

This place always seemed to be open when I made the snap decision to get a haircut. Now they're my and my son's favorite place. Because of that, they know just what we want when we come. Staff is always friendly and haircuts solid no matter who you get. Highly recommended! read more

Usually crispy and on point but I went in and what got what felt like a rushed hair cut, taper was difficult lengths on sides beard did not get lined up correctly and got the front and back of my neck cut up barber didn't even put aftershave and left unshaven hair to end it and still ended up paying $65 honestly lost a customer read more

I found this place here on yelp. I called made a reservation as we are still in the pandemic. It's hard to find a place glad I found this place. Close to where I live. I got there waiting about 10 minutes not bad. I got a cut from James. Told him what I wanted and he recommended a bit different. His recommendation was perfect. Since it's hard to get a cut during this time I am glad I found This place. Thanks to James for the great cut and line up. I definitely will be back here again. I'm going to start off by saying that I know I already can give these folks a five-star rating review considering that both a cousin of mine and nephew frequently hit up this barber shop every now and then when they decide to get they're lazy butt up to go and get a cut. I just don't know who to ask for considering that they hold out on those good deets (some family I have, amiright?). I always hear too about the vibe and how it's Lakers themed so definitely I F*** with that right there. Actually planning on wanting to go on by in a few today whenever I decide to take my break from driving around town for Uber/Lyft. In dire need of a cut too considering my barber moved out of town 2 years ago and that's exactly how long it's been since my last cut, on Valentine's Day of 2022. SHEEESH read more

Just gotta stop real quick and say this shop is amazing. Today, Tom took amazing care of me. Not to mention the other barbers, that i couldn't catch the names of, that also gave me a quality cut on prior visits. I've lived in this area my whole life and struggled finding a quality shop that knew what to do with my hair texture. Ever since my first time coming by I've only left with magic on my head lol. But seriously, the barbers here are not only artists that put true care into their craft, but they are also very kind and genuine folks. GET IN THERE read more

Great barbers, wait is not long, easy parking, and affordable. My three sons found this place, and they have been doing their haircuts with no complaints! That says plenty since they each have different hair types - thick, course hair, and wavy hair. 10/10 recommend read more

I gotta give credit where is due. Christian is the man! I had a dilemma. I like having a fresh cut but I don't have the time to spend the day in a barbershop. These guys solved my time constraints by allowing appointments. The hater in me didn't even wanna tell you about Christian. My hair is starting to thin and somehow after a cut I appear to have more hair where it's thinning? I don't know how he does it so I'll just repeat, Christian is the man! #Airbrushedfades read more

Decided to hit The Press Box Barbershop today for a Haircut & I have to say that Im absolutely delighted with the results! Cool spot for my silver fox boyfriend to get a cut and a shave! We were on our way home from Saturday errands and we have a big fundraiser event tonight so he wanted to stop somewhere to get a hair cut.. he didn't care where at this point since our time is limited today. Sports on the tube and guy conversations of sports is right on point! I even chimed in when the conversation turned to best burger joints. Music was perfect for all tastes. Very skilled barbers and chairs were full. We were a walk in client and wegreeted immediately and only waited 10 minutes if that. Friendly service. Specializing in all hair types and and beards. Very very clean barber shop and I'm particular about that! Which immediately makes me love this place. I think my boyfriend found his new barber shop read more

I appreciate this barbershop sooo much ! They know my husband and son and they provide excellent customer service EVERYTIME . I have a 3 year old autistic son who has issues with getting haircuts . I came in last weekend and they noticed that I was having a hard time settling him down during his haircut and they asked if there is a something that can put on for him to keep him at ease and ended up putting one of his favorite shows Bluey . This was the most generous act just for one child while having a room full of grown men. They are the best !!! Highly recommend. read more

Amazing Service! I came in today in a rush (I needed a haircut since I am traveling soon) and my usual barber was closed (closed on a Monday??!). So, I decided to give this place a try. Press Box was recommended to my by one of my friends who has gotten a haircut there once. Let me just say, from the moment I walked in, it was very clean, and the people were very nice. They sat me down right away and gave me an amazing haircut. I love how they took their time to really do a great mid-fade on my hair (looked absolutely amazing), and all for a fair price. All in all 10/10 would recommend. Amazing service, great haircuts, and even better prices. If your looking for a high quality haircut, they have you covered! read more

I did the best I could cutting my husbands hair during the quarantine, but he really needed a REAL haircut!! His regular place was all booked up, so we searched yelp for another option and found this place. Super clean, sanitizing everything down to the chair before he sat down. It's a cool mix of modern (the Lakers court on the floor) and the classic barber shop. I believe the barbers name was Franco, and he was a really friendly, nice guy, and my husband came out looking and feeling GOOD! (and that's what matters most, right?!?) Looks like this will be his new regular spot! read more

My regular barber moved to a new area and is now too far away so I was looking for a new one. Found this place through Yelp and decided to give them a try. Came in mid day on a Friday and they were pretty busy but the wait wasn't too long. Place is clean, vibe is chill, and the AC felt nice on a warm day. I had Chris (I think?) and he did a great job. Cool to talk to also. Will definitely be back. I felt bad because I thought the price was $25 based on someone else's review but it's actually $30. That didn't leave me enough to tip what I usually do. Will make sure to give a fat tip next time. read more

Took my son here. Had an appointment. Waited almost 2 hours. The owner Gabe kept telling me I would be coming up. Never got the haircut. Worst customer service ever. If you want to waste your time, feel free to come to this "shop" 0/10 wouldn't recommend read more

It's a great environment. My guy Chris does a great job! If it's a full on haircut with beard or a lineup, he gets the job done and really listens to you what you are looking for from your haircut. Check him out! He's the one cutting up in the center of the shop next to Gabe. read more

No respect for peoples time.... Called in asking for Kevin, he wasnt there so I asked Franco who answered the phone if he was available and we agreed for 6pm.
