This was my first time coming to this barbershop, which i found here on yelp. By reading the reviews, I wanted to come and check this place out. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Tatiana. I saw her name on her apron. It's a nice, cool environment when you walk in. They have their regulars come and they greet then by their names when they walk in. Saturdays are walk ins only, but they do appointments on weekdays, which is nice. That wait wasn't that bad either. I got my haircut from Maggie.. really nice person. I haven't gotten a haircut in 3 weeks, so my hair needed some work. I explained to Maggie what I wanted to do, and she did just that! A lot of things that I told her. She took her time and made sure my haircut was on point. If you live in the area and haven't checked this place out, I suggest you do. I'll be coming here for cuts now on. Thanks Maggie! read more

Very clean and friendly place. I go here to get a buzz cut (or a fade) on Tuesday's or Thursday's because they have a "buzz cut special" on those days. The special is $12 for a buzz cut and any other day besides those days will cost $17. If you are looking for a good fade ask for Marcy, I believe she is the owner of the shop and she does an excellent job fading your hair. Make an appointment before you go because they can get pretty busy. read more

I walked into this place not expecting much more than a 10 minute quickie haircut but it was a good experience. Its a very unassuming barber shop ala Floyd's but not the chain Floyd's but the one like in the Andy Griffith show from the 60s which is befitting because the town of El Segundo where Marcy's is located is also much like Mayberry. I work in the area, and my hair is pretty simple - a buzzcut. After getting a poor haircut at F@ntastic S@ms, I was looking for another barbershop. Marcy's staff cuts hair the old-fashioned way - with a smile and friendly conversation. They'll straight-edge shave your neck and around your ears, and the light massage at the end is great. And "Buzz Cut Tuesdays and Thursdays" are a great deal. I often cut my own hair, but getting it done at Marcy's is a treat and well worth the cost. read more

I made an appointment with Marcy about two Fridays ago, unknowing how skilled she would be. In actuality I chose this Barber Shop because it was so close to work. Well what a pleasant surprise it was to finally get a real hair cut by a true professional. Marcy saved my hair, from the horror bestowed upon me after a "SUPER-CUTS" hair disaster. Great Yelp find! Went at 9am on a Friday and was able to get a walk-in haircut. Tatiana did a great job. Appreciate that she spent 30 mins on the haircut paying attention to detail. Most barbers will have me done in less than 15. Best part was the price only $18. Highly recommended. Cash only. read more

I called Marcy's BS letting them know I'm in a bit of a rush and inquired if they're busy... the lady says no, no one is there and to come over, so I drive the .9 miles there, park, walk in and I'm greeted by 3 doods waiting around for a hair cut and 2 in the chair already getting cut. Now, it's very possible that the guys could've walked in from the time I hung up and drove the 8 minutes to the barber shop BUT I doubt it since 2 of the guys in the chair were near the end of their hair cuts. Marcy has cut my 8 yr old son's hair for years. He has had many styles and she has done a great job on all of them. She takes her time on every cut and makes sure that we are happy with the final results. Gotta love the children's cuts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which are only $8. Updating my review since I now have a couple little ones that we take to Marcy's Barber Shop for haircuts. I'm so glad we found this spot, Marcy and Tatiana both deliver quality and consistency for myself and both of my boys. It's also a very welcoming experience, Tatiana knows the way to my 3yo's heart (and how to keep him sitting still) by turning on cartoons. Marcy has amazing patience with my 18 month old and does a great job cutting his hair. All of this for a very reasonable price. They do a great job in this place and I am happy that I found it. I used to pay a little bit less than the $17 that they charge but my hair would always turn out inconsistent. Coming here I know how my hair will turn out and that is the way I want it. It is always even and looks nice, plus they throw in a free vibrating massage for your shoulders at the end! I always make an appointment during the week with Marcy as it is a crap shoot if you come in on Saturdays since there is no appointments but they are all very friendly and their customers always seem happy. read more

The ladies there are funny, talkative if you are, they can go fast if you want or get the regular great haircut, straight shave, and massage on neck which takes a little longer.
