Blueberry pancakes!

The avocado toast is excellent, but the pancakes were THIRTEEN dollars. Expected an actual stack of pancakes, so it was a little disappointing.

Breakfast Roasted Potatoes- looked good but not fully cooked in the middle

Looking for a bro hang where you can freely re-enact your frat bro days? You've come to the perfect place! Want a relaxing Sunday brunch catching up with old friends? I'd look elsewhere..... I have dined here twice, once when I was living on 145th, for a burger and beer w my boyfriend and later when a friend was visiting from LA and insisted we eat there bc her friend from back home recommended it. I humored her and regret it. 1. Had to wait foreevveeer just to get water, I even was tempted to pour myself some but no clean cups. 2. The food was bad... all undercooked. my friend ordered her bacon "extra extra crispy" - came out identical to mine. potatoes looked good but were still cold in the middle... would opt for fries next time. Scrambled tasted reheated and not hot all the way through and I'd bet money that the pancakes are not cooked fresh but rather are frozen 3. Charge for coffee refills. 4. Weird no laptop policy? My mom called while we were there and asked if I remembered her verizon password. I had to open my laptop for 2 minutes to open the spreadsheet and read the password to her. In that 2 minutes, one of the Hamilton staff members somehow saw the laptop and came over to inform me of their policy. They weren't necessarily rude about it, I just found the whole thing bizarre and showed them I was done using it and putting it back in my bag, earning myself a "thanks man" 5. Just weird vibes for me. With so so many amazing brunch spots, this is not where I would go The only Yelp users giving Hamilton's a 5 star review are not from the city. Tbh I trust New Yorkers more when it comes to recommending food in NYC.... Enough said on that.

I came by this establishment on Sunday afternoon with a friend to catch up. They have happy hour from 3 to 8 PM. I had the Berry in the Cloud cocktail, which was absolutely delicious and a lemon drops which also did not disappoint. For food, my friend loved the steak sandwich, which came with garlic truffle fries. I opted for the chicken sandwich, which had a perfect blend of fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and a great seasoning. It was truly delicious! We had a wonderful time, can't wait to return. Server was also attentive and friendly and did great at explaining the menu.

Coffee ordered that luckily the top is faulty so I had to remove the coffee from the cup and I saw this gross bug in my drink.

Found a roach in my coffee. Please make sure you check your beverage before drinking. Throwing up and feeling disgusted is short of how I am feeling. I eat here regularly and I wonder about the food too. Sanitary? Be warned.

My friend and I found this spot and it was such a gem! The food was amazing and service amazing! Our waitress, Vanessa was fabulous! I was super impressed and happy with the roasted potatoes/home fries because, most places don't season their potatoes, but theses were perfectly seasoned and cooked! We are at the bar and food was prepared quickly. I'm not against the Hamilton Omelette, but it was just "blah." The blueberry pancakes were excellent with fresh fruit on them! My latte was delicious! Overall, I think if you're in the area check them out! It's so worth it!

Got caught in the rain. Decided to stop in for a late breakfast. Got the pancake combo. Everything was fine. The pancakes weren't very fresh. Honestly, the reminded me of the frozen pancakes I would microwave in college. Presentation was nice though.

Wait time for food was a little bit over half an hour. Waited 15 minutes for a waitress to come take our order. Waited another 20 minutes for the food to come out. I would have left already had I not been out with a group of people. The dinner menu for food doesn't have a good variety. The lunch menu is probably better. I should have ordered from there because you are still allowed to order from the lunch menu during dinner time. Some of the items on the lunch menu are cheaper. My salmon was not worth it for $24 plus tax. There was supposed to be quinoa included in the dish, but there were only sprinkles of quinoa (barely any). There was a $12 special for bbq pork sliders and beef sliders. The beef sliders were alright. The bbq pork sliders were delicious! The sliders had some Cole slaw on it. The sliders came in three and are on the smaller side but are worth it. There was a huge party happening in the other room and not many customers at other tables. I am wondering whether the service was so slow because of the party or the place is just understaffed. There were more people at the bar. By the time I got my food, I gobbled it up in 10 minutes, paid my bill, and left. I would not come back. I don't care too much for live music either.

This is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants/cafés. I literally do not understand why previous reviews are so negative. I encourage those who also have positive experiences here to rate this place higher because they deserve to be seen in a better light. Every time I come in, I always get a friendly smile and welcome. It's very casual, which I like. The food menu has a lot of varied options of typical items like salads, burgers, wraps, and sandwiches, but the best part is that they're made well and have unique toppings and insides. Favorite menu items include: Eggs Benedict and their chicken pesto panini. I also got their breakfast burger and died inside because it was so good. Coffee is always solid and fresh, and the cappuccinos are okay...I'm very particular about my caps and they're not out of this world, but they're pretty solid. Lastly, this place is always good if you need to grab a baked good and coffee to-go. Their muffins are delicious - not too sweet and perfectly airy, and their croissants are good. I'm also picky with croissants and lucky for them, they don't mess it up! Overall try Hamilton's yourself before reading these obnoxious reviews!

Yerbabuena cocktail.

Food is all right, but where this place really shines is the sleeper of an absolutely top tier bar program. Every last cocktail is exquisite and compelling, and also not expensive. Bartender REALLY knows his shit. Staff is friendly and down to earth. Ambience kinda feels like they can't figure out what to do, but comfortable nonetheless.

They changed for the worst!!! Apparently on 2/1/20, they changed their name to Hamilton's Cafe and Restaurant". They're just awful now. As of today, 2/17, they have no menu for their food. It used to be hanging on the wall-that is no longer. They also have no website to look at a menu. There is no menu for this place. I found a menu on door dash after searching and ordered what I used to get. The price went up so much on all of their food items! And it's not even worth it. I was starving though and came here to get work done as usual so I went ahead and got the expensive food anyways. I let the cashier know where I would be and he informed me that only the front section is for doing work/self-service. He also informed me that the upstairs was available. My friend called ahead of time to make sure it wasn't busy-they said it wasn't. It was. *Also-just so everyone knows, the punch card only works on drinks, not food. Because there was no where to sit, even though the whole other side was open but was "table service only", I had to ask for a refund. They took away the comfy chair section. The music volume was too high to even get any work done. It's just sad that such a great cafe turned bad :(. In short, DO NOT COME HERE TO GET WORK DONE. Come for expensive food and table service.

Hey, look at that. Burnt latte. BITTER BITTER BITTER.

Sadly, they have closed as of December 2025. Great food and drinks and a neighborhood staple.

The vibe was cool, the service was excellent, and the $$$ food and drinks were delicious. This clean, modern, and cozy establishment provided not only an excellent dining experience but unbelievable entertainment, too. We inital went for dinner and drinks, but stayed when this wonderful artist and guitar player started to do their thing. Johnny Bliss sang & transported patrons to another place along with his talented string partner, Fabio. The singers voice is unbelievably beautiful. A true gift to the ears. He arrived around 8PM, and did a few sets until approx. 11pm. Apparently, these two artists are playing at NAPA on Fridays nights (not sure for how long). We had the meatballs, crabcake, and pork chop dinner (all yum). We had a few custom and signature drinks. Happy hour available until 7pm. Street parking out side. Conveniently located by MTA bus/trains. Totally recommend, will go again .

I had already paid $40 just to enter the lounge, and yet the security guard at coat check aggressively insisted I take off my "coat" and pay another $20 just to wear it--or $10 to check it. The problem? It wasn't even a coat. It was a dress, and I told him that. I even explained that I could technically wear it as a dress and that I only had something skimpy underneath, but he still kept arguing. He kept pushing me to take it off and said, "There are plenty of other people dressed like that," completely ignoring the fact that I was uncomfortable. Being told to basically strip down or pay more money after already paying $40 to get in felt harassing, humiliating, and absolutely unacceptable. The whole situation felt like a scam and a blatant cash grab. If management allows staff to treat guests this way, it says everything about how poorly this place is run. I won't be coming back.
