I came here for Mother's Day. It was not packed. Surprisingly!…read moreWe was seated at 3:10 First glances the place is really nice with extremely big TVs ( this was a plus because the Knicks playoff game was on ) While we was sitting there and looking at the menu the time was just passing. It is 3:30 now and no one came to us. We didn't even get complementary top water that Applebee's will even pour on the table . I had to wave down a bustboy to retrieve our watiter. He said he got me 3:55 pm. He came back to make sure we were good and I informed him no one came to us He pulled out his phone and took our order in his iPhone notes. His name was Jordan the true MVP because at that point we was pissed. After an hour we finally was able to place our order. We got the the mac & cheese bites for an app. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get those. It was really hard and cold. I got the fried chicken eggs Benedict and my partner got the french toast chicken BEG The food with a extremely mediocre with no WOW factor, it was bland. I don't know if it was because of how long it took them to bring me my food or if that's just how it taste The pros of the reservation is their bottomless brunch. They feed you bottles of , Prosecco. Once you're done another one populates out of thin air. I called that amazing. Their DJ was on point since it was a Mother's Day brunch he read the crowd right. He knew that he couldn't play certain songs and the songs he did play resonated to the audience. We was there from 3 to 630 and there was not one free shot that they promoted that will be giving every hour. All in all the place was a great place for vibes and if you wanna watch the game or something that nature but to sit down and enjoy your meal, definitely go somewhere else because service was horrendous. I really guide places off the the service and food. If it wasn't for Jordan and the bottomless drink I would give it a 1.5

The restaurant was able to accommodate a large group of 10 when we called for a same day reservation. We arrived at 8:30 and we were sat immediately thanks to our reservation but the restaurant wasn't as crowded due to it being a weekday. Wednesday was karaoke night and they were offering many opportunities to join in. My chicken quesadilla was brought out not to long after being ordered and was really delicious. I think the mushrooms were a nice touch but that's my personal taste. Since it was my friends birthday, we let the staff know and while they don't bring anything complimentary , if you order something from the dessert menu they bring out sparklers and sing happy birthday. Thank you for making our night special!

We chose Cantina Rooftop to take friends who were visiting from out of town, and it ended up being…read moreone of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. The biggest issue was the bill. Several of the prices we were charged didn't match the menu. We also ordered three shots of the house tequila, yet when the check arrived, we were billed for Patrón. I've been around the restaurant industry my entire life, and I've never heard of a place where the "house tequila" is Patrón. Even more importantly, what we were served was definitely not Patrón. As we reviewed the check, it became clear that we had been overcharged on multiple items. They also added gratuity to our party of five without ever mentioning it. We have no problem tipping, but adding it without informing your guests is not good hospitality. My family has worked in the restaurant business for years, so I understand mistakes happen. This didn't feel like a simple mistake--it felt like a lack of transparency from start to finish. I wasn't willing to spend our evening arguing with the server or manager and ruin the night for our guests, so we paid and left. That said, as someone who lives locally, I won't be coming back, and I won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. There are far better places in the city that are upfront with their customers and earn repeat business.

My favorite meal is the fried fish with rice, beans, and sweet plantains, but I've tried plenty of other items over the years and have always enjoyed them. If you're looking for tasty, affordable Dominican food, this place is definitely worth checking out.

We had a reservation for 6 people at 6 PM. There was a Knicks game that evening, so we expected…read morethings to be a little hectic. One thing that caught us off guard was being asked for ID at the door. I know the place turns into more of a lounge later in the evening, but at that time it was still operating as a restaurant. It wasn't a huge issue, just unexpected. We were seated right away, but the hostess immediately informed us that there was a 90-minute time limit on the table. We ordered a bottle of Casamigos, a pitcher of margaritas, and several appetizers. Our waitress was attentive throughout the evening and even suggested different flavors we could use as chasers with the tequila, which was appreciated. The biggest disappointment was the water situation. When we asked for water, we were offered "still or sparkling" while being shown bottled options. Since it wasn't explained that the still water would also be charged, we assumed it was complimentary and that only the sparkling water came with a fee. Later in the evening, we noticed a staff member walking around refilling glasses with tap water at other tables, which confirmed that we would be paying for the bottled still water. Considering we were drinking alcohol and going through plenty of water, it would have been nice if the charge had been clearly explained upfront. As for the food, the picadera was huge and absolutely delicious. The wings were one of the highlights of the meal. The quesadillas were decent but nothing memorable. The nachos, unfortunately, missed the mark--they had plenty of chips but very few toppings. Toward the end of the night, around 8 PM, after we had already paid our bill and were simply waiting for our to-go containers, the hostess came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder to remind us that our time was up. I wasn't pleased with being touched, especially since we were already in the process of leaving. What made it worse was that she started attempting to move one of our tables while we were still seated. I had to politely tell her to give us a minute, and that ended the interaction. Overall, we had a good time. The drinks were great, most of the food was enjoyable, and our waitress provided good service. However, the lack of transparency regarding the water charge and the way we were rushed out at the end left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable evening.

The wings came out nice and crispy, and the regular fries were really good. My friends enjoyed the tacos, while the steak quesadilla was just okay. The drinks are a bit pricey, but probably average for the area. The bartenders were fine, though not particularly friendly. My biggest complaint was the music, it really killed the vibe for me. I guess it's not a priority since the DJ doesn't start until 10:30 PM, which is when the younger crowd begins to come in. By around 11 PM to midnight, the lines to get in were extremely long.

The evening had a beautiful flow - we dined upstairs in the restaurant prior to entertainment downstairs. The cool thing is there was also live music playing as we dined.
