If anything I like the veterinarians taking their time to look at each animal ensuring they haven't missed anything. This time I was late by 5 minutes to my scheduled appointment. They refused to see my cat, and told me they are rescheduling me on Monday (today is Thursday). I am appalled that they have rejected to see my cat, I am worried for him and it is their job to see if anything is wrong. I would understand if I was late by 20 minutes plus. This just shows me, this place is a business and the veterinarians don't really care for animals but actually care about income. I'm not sure whether my cat will be ok or not but if he does get better it's no help from them. Would leave 0 starts if possible

Some were super expensive and didn't provide after care and other clinics were just too far. Finally I found St Helens. I phoned them up and they were super polite, helpful and answered all my questions. The night before her operation they called me to see how the cat was and to remind me not to feed her that night . The price of the operation was around £200 but the service was incredible. I dropped off the cat at 9 am, she had her jabs done, deworming, her operation and they kept her there until she was fully awake and they were absolutely sure that there is no problem to send her home. They gave me special food -like special post operation food- pain killers, meds, protection collar, next day free check-up and another free checkup after 2 weeks. The place is very welcoming and big, big windows- loads of natural light, there is a small waiting area, a little shop area as well and just incredible people working there. Very professional.

I find the staff to be very welcoming, to me and my dog, he certainly thinks so with all the attention and treats he receives! This in particular is import to me, as he has always had a lot of anxiety around going to the vets. The quality is high and a nice bright practice that has food and other pet necessities in the waiting food. There are areas to improve on, with the consult room being a bit dated, and it takes a while to buy anything, so don't pop in if you're in a rush. All round very good though.

PLEASE AVOID, I have heard so many complaints about this…read morevets...here is mine... I remember it used to be called 'Tom the cat place.' My cat was given a minor tummy operation and was not sewn up properly, he had a major tummy infection and ballooned up like a football, he had to have a blood transfusion but had to wait over a week there because they did not keep blood donor records on their system and could not find a match! I went to visit my cat once in the maida vale branch and they told me he'd been taken to the hampstead branch overnight because they were short staffed... i never gave them permission or even knew he was moved every night- i demanded they left him be and didn't move him again. To make matters worse- when i went to hampstead to see him there were dog patients in the same room...bad considering it was a so-called cat only vet clinic at the time. My cat died a slow and painful death and they cancelled my £3000.00 bill because they understood that it was there mistake. My sister recently had her dog done there. He has since got an open flesh wound where his testicles were and it looks like it needs tucking in and sewing up, they said they could do so but she would have to pay a consultation fee...a bit of a joke considering they obviously did not preform the operation right the first time round! When i speak to local pet owners they have said it does not surprise them... PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS VET CLINIC!!!

Unfortunately, my experience with Village Vet Hampstead put my dog's wellbeing at risk due to a lack of organization and poor clinical follow-through. I attended this clinic despite seeing several negative reviews, hoping my experience would be different. Unfortunately, those reviews proved accurate. I provided Village Vet with my dog's full clinical history from the US. Despite this, they refused to prescribe the medication she needed to treat an active UTI until lab results returned, assuring me the results would take 24-28 hours. Three days passed with no communication. I went into the clinic in person and was told at reception that they would follow up with the lab and contact me. I still heard nothing. I returned again the following day. At that point, I still had no answers about her cultures and no medication was provided--yet I was charged £150 for the culture + £70 consultation fee regardless. The lack of urgency, communication, and accountability was deeply concerning, particularly given that this involved an untreated infection. I am sharing this review to help other pet owners avoid a similar experience. For comparison, Highgate Veterinary Clinic was an excellent alternative. The vet was compassionate, thorough, and spent approximately 45 minutes with me and my dog to ensure she fully understood her condition and treatment needs. They are independently run, which may account for the clear difference in care.

When we complained we were advised this is cost of the vet consultation and threatened with debt collectors. Needless to say, we travelled the 2 hours to the much more helpful and reasonable oncology specialists.
