TSC does a good job for special orders too. I ordered a Carhartt jacket through them in 2009, and it took less than a week to come in. I don't even remember paying a shipping cost for it. From tools, to farm supplies, to vaccines, TSC carries quite a bit. Thank god this store is nearby. Having been to some other TSCs, this one is on the upside in terms of stock and service.

The one thing that bothers me, and the reason for Four stars instead of five, is because you all don't properly check dates on your food. I have bought dog treats that expired over a year ago from here and had to trash them. Same with wet food and after a while it starts to add up as a loss. I find myself have to check dates every time I'm in your store now which shouldn't be my job.

So we waited he followed the woman to the middle of the aisle and had a personal conversation while we needed help he looked at me a second time and I made eye contact and he didn't do anything so we got what we thought we needed and left the aisle. The staff at Southern States are very nice and always willing to help you. By far my favorite part about shopping here is they load your car for you. Almost every other feed store in the area has you loading your own car, which I do not have a problem doing but it is very nice to have help every once in a while. I buy grass hay and I can say the bales are always cut very well, the flakes come apart easily, and the hay seems fresh. When feeding any type of animal you should be cautious of the food your giving, this is even more important when feeding horses because they are so sensitive. I trust the hay at Southern States to supply my girls with what they need and to keep them happy. I highly recommend Southern States to anyone who needs live stock supplies, gardening or farming supplies, or even domestic pet foods and supplies. I rarely ever leave reviews; great, good, or bad...but this has to be said! I encourage anyone who shops at this store regularly or who wants to learn a little bit more about the company culture to read the pictures below, in order. And to be Frank, this actually involves two stores, and the online ordering system, making this a systemic issue with all of Rural King as a franchise. The culture promoted and tolerated within this franchise is disgusting and the lack of professionalism and business knowledge is wholly subpar. I genuinely have no idea how they are as successful and as big of a frandchise name as they are. If I felt this was a one-off, bad luck, special circumstance issue, I would not have made this lengthy review, but the entire experience screams of this being the cultural "norm", being accepted by employees (all the way up to management), and being a systemic problem within the entire franchise that needs immediate attention and swift correction.
