That said, Ken always works for his customers satisfaction. I had found Ken and his team to be hard working, honest & trustworthy - a rarity in this business. I'd taken my car here for years and loved it, then had a few bad experiences during the pandemic --…read moreleft my car for scheduled service that was not followed up on in a timely manner, follow-up work not done, no information given on repair timelines, etc. So since then I have taken my care to the dealership. I thought it might be the pandemic and it might be time to give them another chance. Boy do I regret it. I made an appointment weeks in advance for an early morning and put both online and with the lady on the phone that the a/c was not working -- the air blows but it doesn't get cold. Brought my car in on time. The person at the desk told me they couldn't say when it would be looked at as they "only have two a/c techs." Went for a local appointment and walked by Eccles 2 hours later -- my car was still in the same spot I left it. Went home, called four hours after I'd left my car there for an update as I hadn't heard anything. They hadn't looked at it yet and didn't know "where it is in the lineup." ??? Isn't the point of having a 9:30 appointment that it is in the 9:30 slot? Isn't that what anyone would expect for an appointment anywhere? Would anyone who works at Eccles be ok with this themselves -- dinner reservations, dentists, doctors, haircuts, anything? You show up at 9:30, hang around until 1:30, ask them when you'll be seen and they tell you they don't know where you are in the lineup? No. I told them in that case I would come pick up my car and take it to the dealership. Did so. Got there and got my keys and the lady said, "I'm sorry, I was hoping I could get it looked at today, but we only have two a/c techs." WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU OFFERING A SERVICE THAT YOU CAN'T DO? If you can't do it, don't make us go through the effort of time off work to bring it in only for you to hold the car hostage because you aren't actually able to fill the service that day. How long would it have been sitting in that lot, waiting just for someone to look at it and figure out what's wrong? Never again. Never ever ever taking a car of mine to Eccles ever again.

Our car has 340,000 kilometers on it now (we bought it when it had 43,000 km on the odometer), and it runs smooth as silk, we get the oil changed and a checkup every 5,000 km......well worth it and it saves money....

I mentioned them to my co-workers and they started taking their cars there and had great things to say. Very reasonable prices with great service. I took my car there today for a second opinion on some work that an Active Green + Ross recommended was necessary, about $1000 worth of work. As soon as I told the owner the story, he walked out to my car right away popped the hood and checked the things they recommended. He said none of the things they recommended were necessary and to save my money. He assured my I had nothing to worry about, and I wasn't charged a thing for the consult. These guys truly know the meaning of service which is very rare these days. I will definitely be using Bowen's for oil changes/service/repairs in the future.

They were patient and professional from the get go - helping me understand what was wrong with the car and taking us to rent a car (at a great deal!) while we determined what was to happen with the car. It's been a long time since I experienced such great customer service, especially in the automotive world. As an owner in a panic, and as a woman who doesn't know anything about cars, James and his team treated me with respect and kindness throughout the entire process. THANK YOU!

I haven't looked back since then. I've gone back several times now, and the guys at Trotters are exceptional at explaining the how's and why's of what they're doing to your vehicle. They're extremely transparent (I've admittedly gone back and done a bit of research the first few times they told me what they were fixing in my vehicle, and it always lines up) and professional.
