Friends & I came for Drag Bingo on Wednesday nights, it was such a vibe! Service was so friendly, food and drinks were delicious, and drag bingo was so much fun! I ordered their chicken & waffle fries, as well as a mango margarita - so tasty. Our server was nice and offered up recommendations. Highly recommend stopping by!

If you are not accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, please do not patronize this establishment. They won't want you anyway. We've done drag brunch a few times and we had so much fun. The food is good, the prices are fair for what you get, and the service is amazing. I can't wait to go back

First time at Hamburger Mary's! Great great staff. I had a mule that really snuck up on me and some pretty amazing pretzel bites. It's so awesome being in a space that you know is safe, and everyone is there to have fun and laugh.

10s across the board! I was here for a bachelorette brunch and the queens delivered! The theatrics, flexibility, energy, sanging, stage presence, and ability to keep the crowd hyped for the entire show was unmatched! We need them in New York City STAT! Oh and I ate food. I ordered the Proud Mary burger (bland) and my friend got the Buffy The Burger Slayer (okay). I will never find it not comical that she had an entire head of garlic in her burger (like more than 9 whole cloves)! I've never seen that before and we were appalled lol. I don't really care about the food though because I was here for the show and the show gave me life. That is all.

Jessica L'Whor is the BEST! She hosts the best drag show brunch in Colorado. So much fun, so much energy, so entertaining. The food and drinks are great! I love the Hot Mess (basically a breakfast burrito without the tortilla). And they have lots of great drinks, including several nonalcoholic options. My favorite way to spend the Lord's Day.

Went here today for lunch, very hungover, and it was amazing. They had a drag brunch going on and I have to say, it was the best and most lively drag brunch I've ever seen. The service was great, very friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. I got the cheese curds, a side salad, and the Hot Mess breakfast and all were great. Very clean inside with a great vibe, and there is also a back patio with giant Jenga, cornhole, and a large sitting area for large groups. If I wasn't hung over I would have gotten the bottomless mimosas for sure. Hope to go back next time I visit!

If you're looking for a rowdy, fun, and hilarious brunch experience, this is the place! The host of the show, Jessica, had me laughing the entire time. The performances were all excellent. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the food was not great. But that's not what people go for anyway. It's the experience and it's well worth it.

Had a fun time at the purple house for a special event - the pink carpet for the Season 6 Camp Wannakiki Cast. Definitely go for Happy Hour from 3-6pm daily if you want to get one of their new boot glasses as all drinks are 2 for 1 and apps are half off. Food was tasty and the drinks strong. Dev was our amazing server who took excellent care of us. The drag performances were amazing and full of creative talent.

I was not prepared. If you're any type of modest, the drag brunch isn't for you. Just FYI. All the food I've tried isn't bad so far. They are very much on top of the service and experience and want everyone to have a good time. 100% a party scene. You cannot come here and expect not to participate. 4 stars because brunch was too vulgar for me, personally but everything else was a time!

I LOVE HAMBURGER MARY'S!!! I came to this location for the first time for Drag Bingo and had SO much fun!! If you're looking for a good time and lots of laughs I highly recommend. The location is a bit smaller then locations I've been to out of the state, but that did not make a difference. The Queens were awesome - truly admire anyone who can get up in front of a room of strangers and perform. They got the audience involved and it was overall a great experience. I was surprised at all their great food options and wonderful service. Our server (I think his name was Nick) was wonderful...super attentive. They have a full bar and great drink options. I was really happy to try some 0% alcohol mocktails (since I'm alcohol free). After the event my friend and I got extremely lost trying to find our car. The server and bartender saved us. Major shout out! And Axel...amazing dancer. He gave some amazing lap dances. It was so fun! The only negative is there's only street parking. I recommend either using a car service or getting there early.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Charlie's. I was initially turned away at the door…read morebecause the door person decided I was "too drunk" to enter. The problem? I've been sober for two years. I had not been drinking at all. I asked to speak with a manager because I wanted a second opinion. The manager came over, spoke with me, and ultimately said that I did not appear drunk and that I could enter. I appreciate that the manager took the time to actually assess the situation and correct it. But by that point, the damage had already been done. I felt embarrassed, singled out, judged, and completely turned off from even wanting to go inside. What bothered me most was how confidently the original decision was made about me without any real conversation or effort to determine whether I was actually intoxicated. One person at the door made an assumption about me that turned out to be wrong -- and it took me asking for management just to have someone actually reconsider it. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I expect a gay bar -- especially one that has been part of Denver's community for so long -- to make people feel welcome and respected. Instead, I walked away feeling incredibly unwelcome. Afterward, I looked through other reviews and was disappointed to see that I'm apparently not the only person who has left Charlie's feeling poorly treated by staff or questioning how inclusive the environment actually is. I also work in the service industry, so I completely understand the responsibility of door staff and bartenders to refuse entry or service to someone who is visibly intoxicated. I support that 100%. But there is a difference between responsibly enforcing that policy and incorrectly labeling a completely sober person as drunk based on a snap judgment. The fact that a manager looked at the exact same situation and determined I was fine to enter only made the original interaction feel that much more unnecessary. I could have gone inside after that. I chose not to. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable or welcome there. For a place that is supposed to be a welcoming space for our community, that was extremely disappointing.

This review is a bit different from my usual ones, but for good reason…read more This past Friday some friends and I attended the Jazz night in the Jungle room and loved it. We eventually transitioned to the Rose room so we could chat amongst ourselves. The space is large, with booths and tables spread out around the room. We initially made ourselves comfortable near the stage, but then quickly moved to a booth as it was larger and could accommodate the rest of our friends who planned to join us. I sat on the outer most side of the booth, with a good view of the rest of the room, and made awkward eye contact with a man, who then continued to stare me down. He then approached our table, became increasingly combative and aggressive, claiming the table was his and honestly, just seemed to be looking to fight. I write this review not to dog on the crowd, but rather remark on how safe the staff and other patrons made us feel during this encounter. We held our own, eventually insisting this distraught individual leave us alone, all the while the barista at the coffee bar watched vigilantly, using hand signals to ensure we felt safe. Another table began recording the encounter, which I think further deterred the man from his verbal assault on our group. I've experienced similar at other bars and have been left feeling more scared, but because of the way the community at the Pearl stood beside us, felt regulated after the encounter, and continued to enjoy my night. My only note is that they should lower the cost of wine by the glass, or get bigger glasses! I can purchase the same brands by the bottle at the grocery store for the cost of a glass here. I'll definitely be back

I was invited by a friend to check this place out--she mentioned it was a new lesbian bar. When I…read moresaw the address, I realized it was the old Mercury Café, which I've never been a fan of due to the parking and the general area. Had I known beforehand, I probably wouldn't have come. That said, I was surprised to actually find parking not too far away. I did pass a few questionable characters on my walk over, and I hoped my car would still be there when I got back. Once inside, I met up with my friend. Like others have mentioned, the music in the main bar area was extremely loud--too loud to hold a conversation. It was crowded, and people kept bumping into each other, but to be fair, everyone was respectful about it. No one seemed to be doing it with bad intentions. The line at the bar was chaotic, but once I finally got up there, the bartenders were super friendly and attentive. We eventually made our way to the adjoining room, and it was a completely different vibe--much quieter and more relaxed. We could actually talk. I decided to order food. One server--tall, with black hair and torn fishnets--told me I had to order at the bar. But another server, much more accommodating, let me order from her directly and took great care of us. I ordered the patty melt, and it was surprisingly good--definitely better than what the Mercury Café used to offer (which was strictly vegetarian). Ultimately, though, I don't think I'll be returning. The noise level in the main bar was just too much, and the overall environment felt uncomfortable to me. Yes, it's a bar, but the acoustics in that building are rough for the kind of crowd they attract. I did notice they host various classes upstairs, which could be a cool draw for some people--just not quite enough to get me back.
