Dinner Review for a Friday night:
Ok. Was stuck on if I give this place 2 or 3 stars. You be the judge based on my review.
The good:
Ambiance was good. They did a good job of taking an old style building and making it posh. Instead of adding heavy walls, they elevated coloured, light curtains. The lighting is good, and the music was good (upbeat, but not too loud). It is separated into several sections (including smokers sections, and I did not smell smoke in the non-smokers one), which I think is good so it doesn't feel like one huge crowded room.
Also, they have full menu options in English. Yay! And our waitress spoke very good English.
The bad:
Two drinks, one salad, 25 euros out. Now for those of you that follow me on yelp, you know I'm ok about paying, when its worth it, but this was not so much. The two drinks we said sounded really interesting, but our first drink, my friend and I were convinced they gave us a bad white wine spritzer instead of prosecco. The second one, I mean, was there any alcohol? I don't mind if there isn't, I just want the truth.
As for the food, my salad was pretty decent, except that the peanut sauce was more peanut butter. What wasn't cool was my waitress trying to convince me out of it saying it wasn't a full meal. My friend changed her order to the chicken masala, which she said was dry (she asked for some of my peanut butter to help), and it was probably just as big as mine. And I was happy with my meal.
So, two stars. I didn't try the bathroom. You want to come here by metro if you can (its near downtown, parking can be a challenge). It is near the metro, so that's good (maybe 2 minute walk around the building). read more
