For…read morecontext me and my boyfriend applied for one of their rentals and I was rejected due to a collection on my credit and my boyfriend was accepted. They informed my boyfriend he can still move in ALONE and initially I told him no but then I thought about it and told him he can go ahead and get the place for himself. I was in the process of looking for my own place alone. He told me he applied again and asked if I could check on his application because of his work schedule he cannot contact them. So I contacted them and was informed by customer service they would forward the questions and ask the office for an update. Today my boyfriend received a NASTY and unprofessional email. Stating for his co-applicant to stop contacting them about his application because I was rejected. In the message they made sure to make it clear that I cannot move in with him which I already knew. I will be contacting the better business bureau because this business needs to be reported for their unprofessional behavior. I work in corporate and know this is not how you handle matters in a professional way.

There is poison Ivy and vines growing up the side and back of the house and around the upstairs back window. The vines are getting in the gutters which in the long run will cause the owner more money. This is unsafe and unsanitary. It causes mice, rats, snakes, raccoons, and there is a skunk hanging around in the back yard. Very unpresentable. There is a for rent sign in the front yard and it is very unprofessional to advertise this way. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The first week October 2019 I found that my lease had been transferred to MKB when I placed a…read moremaintenance request. I didn't get my "welcome letter" or a response to my maintenance request from them until a couple weeks later. When I did get the request placed, I had to call them to find out that the key they had didn't work, and they asked me about getting a replacement. Thankfully I didn't have any more maintenance requests after that was finally taken care of. I gave my notice to vacate 3/1/20, and was told to notify Crystal if I would like to be present for the move-out inspection. I did so, and after two weeks of trying to contact her I got a response stating that due to COVID-19 I could not be present. (I could not find any rules regarding this; it would have been a meeting of two people and I had stated I would wear a mask.) Towards the end of the lease the property I was renting was put up for sale. MKB notified me whenever a realtor was scheduled to enter the unit. However, one afternoon at work I received a voicemail from Amanda accusing me of changing the locks because a realtor had trouble getting in. (screenshot of the voicemail transcription is attached) When I called back I got a non-apology of "sorry that offended you".  During quarantine I advised MKB that my at-risk fiance was working from home. Despite their closed office and their hesitance to give me a date for move-out inspection, they were fine sending realtors and prospective buyers to the occupied unit. Amanda generously told me I could open a window while other people were present. Two months after giving notice I received a date for the inspection. We were to meet at the property at 3:00, but Crystal didn't show up until 3:40. The return deposit check arrived within time frame, at least. My experience with MKB was a huge stress and their staff is highly unprofessional. Don't rent from them if you can help it.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I've rented from Lawson since the covid shutdown. Things have…read morealways been kinda fine, but the past year it's gotten bad. They don't do anything when you ask them to please remind the other tenants in the house to take down the trash, or pick up their dogs poop in our shared yard, it's mildly infuriating, but that's not the reason I'm writing this review. Last winter there was a mice issue, a man from LRG and the exterminator came out and set poison out. LRG said they would coordinate with the exterminator to come back to collect the poison, I never heard anything back. This kinda annoyed me, but I was like whatever I can get rid of this poison food crap myself. Fast forward to now, I stepped into a piece of rotted wood by the wall in our bedroom. This was the same time we found black mold in our A/C unit in our bedroom so I had them come out for both at the same time. They cleaned our A/C unit and cut out the wall(wall was rotting too), sprayed it with bleach and covered it with painters plastic, and that was it(April 10). Austin Jones contacted me (April 11) and said that he would keep us in the loop with everything going on, and ONCE AGAIN, I never heard anything. I sent a message(May 22) quite frustrated, because there is a hole in my wall and rotting floor in the room where my infant sleeps, so this is a big issue to me. Never got a response and I'm posting this review today (May 30).

I have lived here in a townhouse for 9 years, (my own fault). I was in one of the apartments for 2…read moreyears before this which was in my son's name. I was there between flights while working. This is honestly THE WORST place I have ever lived in my life. The only reason I came here in the beginning is because Pebble Creek was full at the time. Little did I know what I would encounter and now I simply cannot deal with anymore. It's all I can take. There has been NO upkeep to this place in 9 years. I have a sliding door that doesn't lock and been this way 4 or 5 years. Maintenance comes and tweeks it with a screw driver and done this 3 or 4 different times, however never stays. Sliding door in the winter feels like you're pulling over 50 lbs because it's from the 1970s. Paint peeling off the walls, carpet coming up at the doorways, front door will not stay shut if it isn't locked because it won't latch, front door looks worse than the Projects but at least the government keeps them up. The rotten wood facing was painted, not sure why and it's now chipping away. This is all so sad and Bent Tree boasts with a sign about award winning property??? Shrubs are not trimmed in a timely manner and looks terrible not to mention the fact that they hurt your body when touched and letting them get too close to door causes pain when you have to get past them. Water heater blew up last week and it had to be replaced, (that couldn't be left with water running out so I caught it before it flooded the carpet. This kind of thing happens in all places. Glad I was here or it would have been really bad. They used a shop vac to get the water up at the area wet and gave me a fan to use to dry which it did. Left a small grease spot on the carpet but this is trivial by comparison. It is outrageous the incompetence of this company. You have been through 3 or 4 managers since I've been here. You just keep hiring losers. As far as maintenance goes, there is the only one here who really knows what he's doing. Everything gets a band-aid here and this is unacceptable. The manager here had scheduled someone to clean the spot in front of the heater mishap and the timing wasn't acceptable due to a doctor's appointment. We discussed it and decided the next Thursday would be good between 10-12 PM. Now here it is Thursday, 9/21/2017 and I've moved everything so carpet cleaner can do his job quickly and then they tell me it's the 28th, however I wasn't called back to tell me this even though the manager would argue that she did. Never happened. I cannot change appointments again and I will not have someone I do not know in here around my personal belongings. I have tried to take care of everything the best I can with no upgrades at all. It's very depressing to say the least. The new manager hired is still learning I suppose what a mess this place is and I suspect the owner has a lot to do with it. Frugal is one thing but cheap and greedy is another. They come here and put a piece on the faucets that sprays and doesn't run so therefore it uses less water which I'm sure was what the owner wanted but it splatters all the way to the floor and makes a terrible mess, constantly wiping down everything (unless you turn it down like an airplane lavatory). There is so much more but I doubt if this will matter anyway. Just keep renting to the unsavory people you have been and the good ones will leave. Police are here at least once a week. I just don't feel safe anymore here or comfortable in anyway. Management is unacceptable. It isn't just me. I won't call maintenance on weekends unless a dire emergency. I try to be considerate to their life as well. I've tried to put up with it and lasted longer than most smart people. It's difficult to have to move, all the packing and expense . I had a melt down today with the manager. I yelled at her because she tried to defend her mistake. She did not tell me the correct carpet cleaning date and I know this for a fact, no email regarding it or any communication as a business should do.. I cancelled appointment and moved things. Not thinking much of F&W right now and for a long time. Just kept hoping it would get better. Doesn't look like this will happen so I will be leaving in the not too distant future. Good luck trying to rent units because my google review will make them run. Sorry it has to be this way but I have never had to encounter such things as I have here. Yes, I will wrap up this masterpiece for now.
