I'm not alone in that either, my best friend also feels the same way. She'll call me up and we'll launder together, waiting for laundry is better with a friend, but if you don't have a laundry buddy the Bluenose has free Wi-Fi. Bill and Maria are a couple of the nicest people you will ever encounter and are always there to help, 7 days a week you will find one of them in there. They also offer dry cleaning and a drop off service for those of you who have ...what do they call it? Oh yeah, extra money. A little pro-tip: if you go Monday-Saturday the Good Food is open and is attached to the Laundromat so you can grab something to eat or a coffee and wait out those washer/dryers. Beware! The Good Food is not open Sunday!

I regularly attended this laundromat to get my laundry done. While yes, they were more expensive…read morethan most (the dryers take forever) it was a matter of convenience. One night, I was with a friend of mine and we knew that the place closed at 9pm. We were taking a little longer than normal to get everything done and by the time we were done, it was approximately 9:40pm. It has signs everywhere stating that there are cameras, so we figured that someone had seen us not even close to done and they were not going to come lock the doors until then. We each took a load of laundry out to the car and when we returned, the doors were locked (looks like they automatically did so at 9pm. Since they had a phone number on the door, we decided to call it and explain our situation. When the woman answered the phone she kept asking who was there and what the problem was (unfortunately there was a language barrier between the two of us). As I continued to explain to her what happened, she hung up on me and when I called back, she had turned off her phone and kept picking up and hanging up the other one. All I can say is thank god it was only laundry that was locked in overnight but I can honestly say I will never again go back to that laundromat!!!!

My boyfriend and I finally deciding that we were not going to deal with how our apartment complex…read more(and company) do not fix the machines properly, how much they charge, and how much we actually have to spend to get our clothes cleaned and dried. So we decided to try out this place since my brother recommended it. It is not in the best area, but for the limited amount of "good and safe" choices for a laundromat in downtown Dartmouth, it is pretty decent. It is pretty big, with at least 12+ washers and dryers, plus industrial sized machines for linens and whatnot. The machines only take quarters and to wash it costs $1.50 (takes 27 minutes) and to dry it costs 25c per 4 min but because they are good quality dryers, it only takes about $1.25-$2.00 to completely dry a load, depending on the load size. Don't worry if you do not have quarters because the nice lady at the counter, who does the dry cleaning, has some. There are also places to sit and a drink machine/chip stand for those who want to buy something while waiting. It is open 7 days a week - we came on a Monday afternoon when it was not really busy but I would assume weekends can get pretty busy. We will come here from now on to do our laundry as it is not too far and we can get all of our laundry done in less than an hour and a half. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good laundromat in the area.
