The staff here is such a delight and certainly trust inspiring. The laundry was perfectly folded and looked quite clean.

Dropping off my coats to freshen up for the season and ready within a few days. If you need it sooner then you just ask and normally they are able to have this done for you. My winter coat cost me $15.00 which is not bad and it is cream and hard to clean. Very impressed with how much it came back to original. Not only is it a dry cleaners they also do tailoring on the stop in this locations and alterations. I took a blazer over one day and they actually revamped it for me price of that as about $65 but they did alot of work to it.

They also had my dress for 2 weeks in their store. The day before I called and asked if it would be ready, and they told me not until after 5pm. So my dress just sat there for 2 weeks. And the girl at the counter misread the calendar and put my "due back by" date as a Saturday when it was suppose to be the Friday (the day before). The hem was an inch too long but I wasn't about to wait another 2 weeks to get my dress back again from them. There is no price list in this store. They just shouted out a price off the top of their heads. I then asked to have the top tacked as it was a bit too big. The seam didn't have to be taken in (the seamstress agreed). This was another $40. I found this place, while friendly, very overpriced and I don't like going into places where they come up with a cost off the top of their head. I won't be returning to this location.

This is the reason I switched from Koolex to SameDay. Koolex kept screwing up my pants by putting creases in them. Problem with Sameday is the stale smell of the place that gets into my clothes which means I have to air them out before I put them in my closet. The next problem was how Maria handled my telling her that there was a stale odor of food and clothes in the shop. It's not easy to summon the courage to inform a business operator when you detect a customer experience issue - and Maria dumped the issue squarely back on me, leaving me to understand that if I smelled something then I was the only person in the world who could smell it and that, as a result, she was not interested in doing anything about it. When I said I smelled a stale odor Maria's response was not one of concern for my experience. Instead, she became defensive and said "No one's ever said anything before." - as if to suggest that I anything I smell must first be validated by some representative group of customers. When I suggested that many people would shy away from the potential conflict of raising such a sensitive issue and that I offered the feedback in kindness, she didn't seem to care. "No one's ever said anything before." she repeated. I give up and will now go looking for another odor neutral dry cleaner.

I dropped it off to the girl working at the front counter, and as I did so I also asked her if it would be possible for them to dye my white coat a darker colour after they dry cleaned it. She said that she was pretty sure they could, but I should ask the main guy when I picked the coat up, just in case. When I returned the next day I encountered an abrupt woman who informed me that 'no, there's no way we can do that, and there's nobody else who can.' Then she charged me $20 for the coat cleaning, which is apparently their standard coat fee. I found it a little high; I've owned this white coat for a few years now, and I've never paid more than 10-15 dollars to clean it. It was clean though, so I guess this place is ok.

I'm actually a little bit shocked that it hadn't been reviewed yet when I dropped off a couple pairs of pants the other day! It's a small shop on the upper level of Park Lane Mall found from the main entrance by hopping on the escalators or stairs off to the right -it's in the main hallway. The head tailor here has been my go-to for alterations on any piece of clothing that I just can't have messed up. Typically, this means hemming pricy denims down to my Smurf-life height without having to worry about them coming back too long, too short, or looking like I hemmed them myself. For an extra cost ($20 rather than the normal $8 for a hem), they'll do a euro hem which makes the bottom of your jeans look professionally finished rather than just folded up and shortened. Definitely worth it if you've invested in a great pair to start with. Not only that, but the tailor actually cares about the work he's doing. He'll take your measurements as per usual, but he'll also ask about the shoes you wear, how you stand regularly, whether you like them to run long, etc. Even for a simple hemming, Daniel's makes sure that it's done to suit you specifically. On Saturdays, appointments can be made for consultations on more complicated jobs which I haven't done before, but I have witnessed the change in my friends' wardrobes after getting run through this shop. I can't wait to bring in some okay-fitting stuff and leave with perfection!

I have to say that I've waited almost 6 months to write this review because I was just too angry to write it before - it wouldn't have been fair and I wouldn't have given the good and the bad. But here it is now... I needed some quick-ish work done on my dress. It had to be taken in 2 sizes (woohoo, weight loss!!). I had 3 weeks until I needed it back. The woman there said no problem, and "not expensive to do!". In retrospect I should have asked for an estimate but when someone says "not expensive" I anticipate it won't be expensive. So I went in, tried it on for her and she proceeded to pin it for me. The whole time we were doing that we kept getting interrupted by other customers coming to get their orders. I know she's running a business but when I'm standing in the middle of a tiny store, where everyone can see me, with half my dress pinned and I'm holding the other half up, I don't want to wait 10 minutes for you to serve someone who came after me. Take the two minutes, pin my dress, and THEN serve them. After that she gave me a slip, said 2 weeks and I went off. Two weeks later I came back to try on my dress. Well, it was too tight. Not too tight that I couldn't fit but tighter than I wanted. No matter, it wasn't a huge deal. She then proceeded to tell me how it was "much more work" than she anticipated and she had to "take it all apart" to take it in. And it would be "a bit more". By this point I was just ready to be done so I told her that was fine and asked what I owed. Brace yourself... $140. That is neither "not expensive" or "a bit more" than not expensive. That's almost what I paid for the dress itself!! I couldn't do anything except tell her I was disappointed and pay. She had my dress, she had done the work and now I owed her the money. I took my dress and left. On the day of the wedding it did look beautiful but had I known what a headache it was going to be and how expensive she was going to be I would have taken it somewhere else. I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Ever.

The suit was too big, both pants and jacket, and needed to be adjusted. Lillian was friendly and took measurements, gave me a price, and I went on my way. She asked me to come in a few days before I needed it to do final measurements to see if there were any changes necessary. She did not get me to try on the pants, and said they were fine. I tried on the jacket and there seemed to be very little change. I mentioned that I thought it needed to be quite a bit smaller. She said okay, that she could take it in more, and then I left. When it came time to pick up the suit, I went in and tried it on. The pants were incredibly baggy, a few inches too loose in the waist, and a total disappointment. The jacket was also too big. Wearing the suit, I looked like a child who dressed up in his father's clothes. I mentioned that I thought it was too big, and she said I was wrong, that it fit me well. I was disappointed, but thought maybe I was being too judgmental. I paid (which I now regret doing) as I needed the suit for that evening, and took it home. Upon trying it on again at home, I realized it was not wearable. My girlfriend took a glance at it and immediately said that it was ill-fitting and I could not wear it in public. Within an hour of picking it up, I called Lillian and mentioned that I thought it was too large. She immediately became quite rude, said I was wrong, that it fit me, and that I needed another opinion. I said that my opinion was the only thing that mattered, and asked that she fix it or refund my money. At first she refused, saying that it fit me, and that if I wanted something different I should go somewhere else. Eventually she said I could bring it in "in two weeks" and then she rudely hung up on me. I decided that if she could not do the job the first time, she would not be able to do it a second time, so I let it go. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of work and the level of service I received when I mentioned my concerns. I am doubtful she did any work whatsoever on the pants, and while she did some work on the jacket, it is still not suitable at all. The experience was disappointing, a waste of $150, and left me with a suit that I now have to spend similar money to have someone fix. I would not recommend this shop.
