Like to keep some rar in my fridge which is hard to get in state I am in. Half time made it for me to get a good selection of craft beers

Absolutely my favorite place to get beer in Westchester! Great selection and friendly helpful staff. Marlowe is right next door if you just want to drink a few! read more

Do not order from them ! I ordered a 12-pack of Octoberfest beer. The shipment is sent with a signature required. I got a tracking number, but the link never updated. No information just order is being shipped to Northeast Gateway. 10 days later - tracking updates and says delivered. Never got the beer. It was not left with a neighbor nor was it ever delivered. Call twice, gave them my information and they told me they would get back to me. Nothing. E-mailed twice a day - no response. Very poor service and no beer. Do not order from them. read more

Have had nothing but great experiences ordering from half time. I live in south Jersey so the true benefit of halftime for me is getting beers that just don't come to New Jersey. Shipping is a relatively low flat rate but you can definitely make it worth it by stocking up on some crazy limited beers. The shipping has even started to come within a few days and not based on shipping from a certain day of the week. I also receive incredible customer service when reaching out through instagram or email. Just nothing bad to say. read more

Great experience, fast shipping. Quality products and I didn't have to leave the house, will buy again.

They sell Henderson Beer. This is an incredible vehicle to stocking up your fridge with Canadian gold.

I live on the west coast and have ordered from Half Time many times now. They have a huge selection of craft beers and their packaging is top notch... no bottle breakage to date! I've tried other bottle shops for delivery and HT beats them hands down.. and their rewards program actually motivates to keep coming back and buying from them :) I just wish I lived closer so I could avoid shipping charges! read more

Fantastic mail order...finally found a place where I can purchase 24 individual beers and have them well packaged and shipped to Louisiana. And a great variety...I've ordered different stouts and porters every time! read more

My favorite craft beer store! I've had a bunch of jumbo boxes shipped to me (almost always free 1-day UPS ground shipping to Queens) and I've visited the store in person just as frequently. They carry all of my favorites from Marlowe, Mortalis, Evil Twin NYC, and Parish. They also have a ton of hard to find stuff from de Garde, Side Project, 3F, Anchorage, Forgotten Road, Fonta Flora, Casita, RAR, and countless others. I usually end up grabbing some Crafted Mead too. There's a huge selection of international beers, local beers, over 20 draft beers with crowler fills, hard seltzer/cider/tea/cocktails, and endless cases of macros. I would check canning dates for room temperature IPAs (they're far far better at pulling older hops from shelves than most stores but they have a monstrous inventory and can miss a few at times) otherwise I've only had extremely positive experiences here. The only thing I'd change is to merge the in-store and online rewards programs but zero complaints since the bonus cash/credit you can earn is pretty friggin awesome. Cheers! read more

I give them one star for their prices. You can find better prices at any gas stations or supermarket.

Great selection, very fair policy for pick-up-free or flat rate delivery of up to a specific amount. So incredibly happy to have an option to get some of my favorite NY produced beers sent to our NJ relocation! And pro-tip if you DO have an address in NY shipping over $100 currently free. I'd be jealous but too busy being happy to have access to my favorite brews & actually looking forward to an excuse to peruse the store for more awesome finds read more

Placed an order they Other Half fulfilled by Half Time back in late October/early November. Whomever packaged the boxes didn't pop the tabs so bottles were damaged during shipment (I mean dozens of customers complained about this on FB). Half my order didn't show up, ironic I suppose. It's now February 8th and I haven't gotten the second half of my shipment despite 25+ emails and 10+ calls. Yes, there's shipment issues across the board, but it's been empty promise after empty promise and little follow through by HT. Disappointed because their selection outpaced their service. Hoping this is really just my experience and not others. Cheers! read more

Food: just chips and nuts Brew: A world/craft beer supermarket and it's super amazing. Not only they carry pretty much everything that's possibly available in the east coast distribution market but they also have a great variety of beer available to can and go for a fresh tap taste. They have a great menu filled with exclusive brews to can in 32 ozs or fill multiple size growlers to go. They then take it's game to the next level. They also carry in an entire isle everything you need to brew your own beer. Everything from yeast to tubes to gallon glass screw-top jugs-Great for fermenting. I will be returning again to pick up some more delicious gems. PS: they also have a huge selection of cigars in a control temperature room. If your into that heaven just got sweeter. I'll stick to the beer, cheers. read more

I recently relocated from NYC to Florida, and can't get my favorite Guinness Stout 22fl oz cases there. I'm glad that Haftime delivers. I can order a case every month. Thank you much appreciated! read more

They have everything you would ever need. I don't know what else to say but I need 85 characters.

fantastic, love being able to ship my gluten free beer I can't get in my town anymore online!

great selection on craft beer will be making more purchases through here quick & easy

I did eventually get my order but it took months with the same delay from brewery excuse every few weeks.

Bought 2 cases of a favorite beer that unavailable on the west coast. Arrived at my door in rural Oregon in under a week. Not a broken bottle in either box. Perfect packaging, very fair prices. I sense the start of a beautiful relationship. Thank you! I'll spread the word. read more

I purchased on line what they said was a 4 pack what I recieved was 4 loose cans that were dented and 2 had a deep scratch. When I contacted them they said that the beer is till good to drink and must have came from their distributer. This is a gift and now I have damaged good as a present for my son. If they were dented before shipping why would they ship them? Buying beer on line is very expensive ($21 & $22 handling) but worth it if you get a good item. read more

This place is just wonderful. So many choices it's always difficult to go there and not go crazy. It's a must stop for me whenever I am in town. Highly recommend. read more

The selection is in believable. Literally thousands of beers. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Also, they are dog friendly!

Buyer beware. Halftime beverages is the biggest scam going. I placed an order 2 months ago, they never attempted delivery yet retuned the beers to Other half and despite numerous calls, I still have not been given a refund or even an email about a refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. YOULL REGRET IT read more

Holy cow the beer is overpriced! Go anywhere else and you'll find it 20 to 30% cheaper. But I suppose the selection is a kind of impressive, but certainly not unheard of! Their selection of things that you can fill a growler with is pretty good, but even that way is expensive! And their cigar selection while nice can't hold a candle to the smoke shop just up the road. read more

Half Time - Holy cow the product is all overpriced! ! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

By far the best beer store in terms of selection that I've found upstate. On the east side of Route 9, it's located north of the Poughkeepsie Galleria and south of downtown. The store is huge, with a full aisle of American Microbrews, an aisle of Belgian and Germans, an aisle of English and miscellaneous foreign beers, an aisle with macro beers along with Canadian beers and Sam Adams, a glasswear section, some high end stuff by the register, and finally coolers surrounding the whole back of the store with most of the stock chilled there. It's pretty damned epic. As for the service, I found workers to be friendly and somewhat knowledgeable. Seeing the layout of the place and what they were doing in terms of stocking, I could definitely imagine them getting cranky though. Half Time's prices are at their best for 4/6 packs of stuff that's either readily available or seasonally released. For instance, $2.50 a bottle for Sierra Nevada Bigfoot is pretty damned stellar. Prices on bombers are also very good. There's also a counter in the front of the store with discounted beer that they're looking to be rid of. For more rare stuff that's hard to come by--think Aventinus Eisbock and Ayinger Celebrator--they're mostly par for the course with a few maybe approaching gouging territory. But considering that you can buy everything in one place while still saving a significant amount of money on average, it's all reasonable. Half Time is one more reason for me to visit Poughkeepsie more often. read more

Internet buyers beware of Half Time Beverage. I learned my lesson. My in-stock Christmas order was charged to my credit card and confirmed when placed on November 30. After that, silence. Following up, I made numerous phone calls and emails looking for shipping information. Most emails went unanswered. Calls to people always in meetings or away from their desks went unreturned. As I grew more forceful, they responded with reassuring, hopeful fabrications, requiring continued panicked calls and emails. When the order finally arrived via overnight shipping on December 24, it was short three of the beers I ordered. In keeping with Halftime's stellar service, there was no acknowledgement of the shorted items, no automatic refund, and no response or action on my requests for refund sent on December 24 and January 17. Half Time Beverage was a miserable company to deal with this Christmas season, and I still don't have my refund. Life is short, and there are plenty of other craft beer retailers online. Buy elsewhere. read more

Ja ja ja, it's good! They have. . . everything. And if they don't have it, they will get it for you. A fine selection on tap is also available if you bring your own growler (or purchase a handsome Half Time branded model). Many many micros and International offerings. You will even find limited edition seasonal Ommegang, Dogfish Head, Keegan Ales, Mikkeller, Flying Dog, Brooklyn, etc, etc, etc, here. Beers are displayed by region. Gifts, glassware, and a good clearance section are worth checking out as well. If you are a beer enthusiast, Half Time is definitely worth a visit. BTW- this business is in a decent small strip mall that includes the Crew restaurant. read more

What a great addition to Poughkeepsie. The beer selection is endless and the store is always bright and clean (although sometimes a little too bright when the afternoon sun beams straight into the windows!) :) You sort of have to be looking for it as you drive along Rt 9 because the turn-off is a bit short (no real on/off ramp like you'd see for the Galleria or other malls). It's also located right next to a wine shop - so it's a great little mini-strip-mall. Having spent a significant amount of time living and working in Europe, I always love finding beers that bring back good memories. Haven't done any major orders, so can't review that, but have interacted with the staff and they are friendly and helpful. They are happy to recommend something if you are new to the beer-world, or simply just tell you their favorites. Great spot. read more

If there's a particular beer you're looking for, chances are you'll find it at half time. This place has just about the largest selection of brews you'll find anywhere. From domestic micro brews across the country to nations far and wide (especially Germany, Belgium and England). Not sure what to get? No worries, grab an empty 6 pack container and customize your own (or multiple 6 packs if you're feeling ambitious). You can even grab some growlers to go from their tap station. For those into home brewing, you'll find some essential equipment and other supplies (hops, etc) here as well. They also have some glassware (pint glasses) if you're looking to stock your shelf. Soda drinkers can also check out their selection (micro soda makers?) Of cream sodas, black cherry, etc. I personally love the Saranac Black Cherry Cream Avid beer drinker and always looking for something new and different? Make sure you check out Half Time read more

Half Time - Newly expanded!! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

Very nice beer distributor. No wine but a lot of craft beer. They also have cigars and I think other party accessories.

Another place that I drove past many times and never thought to stop in silly me! Turns out I needed a bag of ice and we figured I could find that here. I ended up finding so much more! The place has an amazing inventory of beer and I decided to treat myself to a $15 bottle that was really good. I would have never spent that much on one bottle of beer, but I figured since I walked in, why not?! I definitely recommend them as a place to find brews that you can't find in your average spot. The people who work there are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful too! read more

Half Time - I have to try it because it's lavender. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

Damn you, Half Time, why haven't you opened a store in the NYC area yet? Odd that I would open a 5 star review like this, but these guys are in the middle of freakin' nowhere AND THEY HAVE ALL THE BEER! The store is like a mall for beer. Just look at the photos - aisles and aisles of beer from all over the world. I visited Dublin and went to a place called The Porterhouse. They brew and serve their own beer there, and its great. Half Time had bottles from The Porterhouse!! Their selection of micro brews is INSANE - but even better, they sell them BY THE BOTTLE, so you don't have to go buy a 6 pack of something just to satisfy your curiosity. Like a lot of good beer distributors, Half Time offers fresh beer on tap. Pick a growler and they'll fill it up for you. The difference is their tap selection is fairly large. I think they have something like 10 different beers to select from. Their growler selection is pretty interesting as well. You can go for the basic generic bottles or you can buy a really beautiful growler with an intricately designed metal handle. (a bit pricier) What does it for me are the 16 ounce growlers - YES, YOU CAN GET A PINT TO GO! I have never seen any other place do this! Every beer distributor forces you to get 64 ounces at once. Even Whole Foods cuts off at 32 ounces. I might be able to go through a 32 ounce bottle on my own, but never a 64, unless I was having people over. This 16 ounce thing needs to catch on at other places! The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions about ANY of the beers there, you'll be able to get an answer from someone immediately. These guys know their stuff. If you're a fan of beer and are in the area then you should absolutely make a trip to this place. One minor caveat - there's a $10 minimum for credit. This should not be an issue, but just in case... read more

I hired Half Time to deliver ice and kegs and a cold plate for my wedding ..which was outdoor in the middle of August. They gave us plenty of misinformation which led to foamy warm beer that day Trying to resolve this issue took forever. The manager Steve as well as the owner get a super Fail in customer service. Tracking is unreliable and GSO does not require a signature. Just leaves it on the front porch without even knocking or ringing the doorbell. Also, everytime I order beer it says only 1 quantity available, then sold out after I purchase. Then more becomes available only after I pay the insane $20 shipping fee. Shady. read more

Been buying beer here for a long time but I have to call them out for my past experiences the past couple years. First, the tap selections have been pretty weak. The prices for growler re-fills are overpriced as well as whats in the cooler & on the shelf in general. A lot of beer on the shelf doesnt even have pricing which is annoying. It feels like their prices now reflect the arrogance of this establishment. Second, the overall beer selection used to be very good but I'm noticing less & less of a variety from different breweries. They really need to step up their game or they will continue to lose customers like me who enjoyed a wide selection at a fair price. read more
