Meh is my feeling about this store. I like wine and hard liquor, my husband likes expensive…read morebourbon. It's a mile and a half from my house so it's convenient. Prices and selection are fine. Sometimes I'm asked if I need help, usually I'm not. Often, there's a group of people behind the checkout socializing, and I can't tell if they're employees or delivery people or vendors. The cashiers are usually friendly, but it would be nice if they provided a receipt every time without asking. Just because I can't return something doesn't mean I'm not entitled to a copy of the receipt. I went in today looking for a specific bourbon for my husband for Valentine's Day. Usually when I can't find something in the aisle, I know it's behind the counter. I showed the cashier a screenshot of the store's website, and he jokingly said "well at that price, it should be in the aisle on the right side of the aisle, and if it's not, then it's on the left." I went back to the aisle. A different version of it was there, the version I was looking for was not. I walked back to the register, saw what I was looking for right behind the first cashier. Another cashier waved me over. I jokingly said that I politely disagreed with the first cashier that what I was looking for was in the aisle, and she said well, no actually, he's not wrong, the bigger bottles are in the aisle, and we have smaller bottles back here and she showed me a different (incorrect version), to which I responded for her to just please look behind him, the one that I'm looking for, is literally right there. She turns. Oh hey, I was right. No acknowledgment that I was right. So I guess next time I want a $72 bottle of bourbon, I'll drive down to Viscount or Arlington Wine & liquor. The reward program here is a joke; I spend several hundred dollars a year and I'm lucky to get a dollar or two off every so often. If the employees are too busy socializing and don't even know what they stock, I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

Predominately budget brands, magnums, and California wines make up the majority of the wine. Wines from Oregon Argentina France Spain Italy and Portugal are represented but on a smaller scale. I was very happy to see a good Rosé selection, even though it's winter. Extensive liquor selection as well and range from low to high end brands. They even have gift items. Prices are reasonable and they have some wines I haven't seen locally before - which is a plus for me. Very friendly staff and manager. They have a free membership program. Discounts available if you buy a case but also if you buy three bottles of one wine varietal which is a real plus! They have many tastings Thurs- Sunday and if you buy only one bottle of what is being tasted you also get the three bottle discount price! Happy to have them so close by. I'll be a regular customer.

But after this past weekend I would beg people to go here over other liquor stores. I went in on a Saturday and I brought my one year old daughter who happened to be having a rough day. She wanted to grab every glass bottle in the store and did not want to listen (just one of those days). I spent half my time shopping just trying to not get her to touch something she shouldn't or have to pay for her breaking something I couldn't afford. Three different staff members stopped to say hi to her or to laugh at what she was doing, no one was even remotely upset (except me) at her behavior. And when I had to pick her up because she threw a fit about not carrying her own bottle of svedka one of the gentlemen carried my items up to the checkout counter for me. The lady who rang me out was so sweet and offered to hold my items while I went to go grab my car. I politely declined because we had parked over by the Market 32 that day trying to get some energy out with the walk. When we were trying to leave my daughter continuously tried running back into the store and threw another fit when I told her it was time to go. I didn't have enough hands to carry both my purchase and her and two separate employees stepped in to take my items, insisted that I go grab my car and they would carry them out to me once I arrived again. And they did!! As an overstimulated new mom, I could have cried right there from their kindness. I thought I had it all under control and when all else failed these kind folks helped me out, no judgement just wanted to be there for someone else. And so I will shop here relentlessly just because there are good people running that store. Thank you to all of the folks that helped me that day, it was so appreciated!!!

First and foremost, it's a liquor store, but the term "liquor warehouse" is probably better suited for the ample selection of wines, spirits, and craft beers they carry. They even have a Walking Dead themed wine where the labels animate before your eyes if you scan it on the TV show's app! Pretty next level if you ask me! I went to Viscount and not only got great advice on wine, I was also told that I could return any unopened and unchilled wine. Jump forward a week and they were good to their word. We returned wine and some tequila. Who knew that you could return booze? What a great policy.
