Sometimes I'm asked if I need help, usually I'm not. Often, there's a group of people behind the checkout socializing, and I can't tell if they're employees or delivery people or vendors. The cashiers are usually friendly, but it would be nice if they provided a receipt every time without asking. Just because I can't return something doesn't mean I'm not entitled to a copy of the receipt. I went in today looking for a specific bourbon for my husband for Valentine's Day. Usually when I can't find something in the aisle, I know it's behind the counter. I showed the cashier a screenshot of the store's website, and he jokingly said "well at that price, it should be in the aisle on the right side of the aisle, and if it's not, then it's on the left." I went back to the aisle. A different version of it was there, the version I was looking for was not. I walked back to the register, saw what I was looking for right behind the first cashier. Another cashier waved me over. I jokingly said that I politely disagreed with the first cashier that what I was looking for was in the aisle, and she said well, no actually, he's not wrong, the bigger bottles are in the aisle, and we have smaller bottles back here and she showed me a different (incorrect version), to which I responded for her to just please look behind him, the one that I'm looking for, is literally right there. She turns. Oh hey, I was right. No acknowledgment that I was right. So I guess next time I want a $72 bottle of bourbon, I'll drive down to Viscount or Arlington Wine & liquor. The reward program here is a joke; I spend several hundred dollars a year and I'm lucky to get a dollar or two off every so often. If the employees are too busy socializing and don't even know what they stock, I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

Predominately budget brands, magnums, and California wines make up the majority of the wine. Wines from Oregon Argentina France Spain Italy and Portugal are represented but on a smaller scale. I was very happy to see a good Rosé selection, even though it's winter. Extensive liquor selection as well and range from low to high end brands. They even have gift items. Prices are reasonable and they have some wines I haven't seen locally before - which is a plus for me. Very friendly staff and manager. They have a free membership program. Discounts available if you buy a case but also if you buy three bottles of one wine varietal which is a real plus! They have many tastings Thurs- Sunday and if you buy only one bottle of what is being tasted you also get the three bottle discount price! Happy to have them so close by. I'll be a regular customer.

This space passed my 'cozy' test because on a Friday after Thanksgiving as snowflakes fell in the Catskills. What makes Wine H. even more inviting is its relaxed ambience and approachable service. Our guy was willing and able to help as I looked for a dry Rosé to bring with me since we're staying not far from here for Thanksgiving weekend. This wine spot is a rare gem with an easy-going atmosphere and an impressive selection. Don't knock it til you try it. You won't go wrong.

I discover this excellent excellent wine and liquor store, just 7 minutes away. Tom the owner is delightful and an authority on the local history. The inventory is quite impressive with varieties from all the usual wine-producing countries. We're looking for some good cabs. Instead I noticed a reasonably priced Bordeaux Superieur Le Breton..a French wine for $14.99. Also a trusty bottle of Josh, just in case. The Bordeaux turns out to be really superieur so we put the Josh aside for a rainy day.

Came here recently and this time I had to grab a few more things than the usual. I usually go to a much larger location with a LOT more variety where I do my "stock up" trips to. Instead of going there, decided to stop in here. It was so nice to be able to browse the store without feeling 50 eyes on you or the pressure of feeling like you can't just look around without getting overly asked if you need help. Huge pet peeve, lol! This place isn't like that! After picking out a few bottles of wine and spirits, the owner was so kind to honor a 6 bottle discount since I mentioned that's what my usual store does. Loved coming here, a lot of wine selection and very reasonable pricing. Owner and staff are very kind and you know what, #supportlocal

So last weekend I come up and I haven't been to Millerton very many times before and I'm enjoying the farmer's market and the small town vibe but I notice the little wine shop on the corner and I'm not expecting much but I figure I may as well go in and check out their floor. Then I'm just blown away! They are doing a tasting of these interesting affordable wines from small production vineyards across the world. I'm like, "this is just my kind of store." Then as we start chatting you wouldn't believe how knowledgeable the employees are just rattling off facts and aesthetics descriptors about any wine you point to, always ready to tackle any topic to help you decide what wine you would like best.
