Very helpful, well stocked and attractive. Their hours make them extremely convenient. Guests show up , they're a short drive away.

And this works fine if you're getting off at i87 in Kingston and connect it to Rt28 to head to Woodstock like we've been doing. Wine H. brings a wine focused experience to the Catskills. But don't get it twisted because you do get the Jacks, the Hennessys, Tito's, etc. You will not go wrong. The key draw here (from what I noticed up front) are spirits made in NY state. This space passed my 'cozy' test because on a Friday after Thanksgiving as snowflakes fell in the Catskills. What makes Wine H. even more inviting is its relaxed ambience and approachable service. Our guy was willing and able to help as I looked for a dry Rosé to bring with me since we're staying not far from here for Thanksgiving weekend. This wine spot is a rare gem with an easy-going atmosphere and an impressive selection. Don't knock it til you try it. You won't go wrong.

I discover this excellent excellent wine and liquor store, just 7 minutes away. Tom the owner is delightful and an authority on the local history. The inventory is quite impressive with varieties from all the usual wine-producing countries. We're looking for some good cabs. Instead I noticed a reasonably priced Bordeaux Superieur Le Breton..a French wine for $14.99. Also a trusty bottle of Josh, just in case. The Bordeaux turns out to be really superieur so we put the Josh aside for a rainy day.

Although I no longer reside in Millbrook every Christmas season I…read morefaithfully make an annual trek to Marona's to buy their homemade breakfast sausage for our holiday breakfasts. For over 70 decades I've enjoyed the tasty sausage - until this year, 2024. It was so apparent when I fried the sausage something had changed. In the past there was a light layer of grease from the sausage fat. This year there was no grease, only water. The pan filled with 1/3" of water that had to be drained to properly fry the sausage. The taste was even worse! Gone were the spices that, in the past, contributed to the delicious taste. The sausage is now very bland and tasteless. My husband even commented the sausage tasted like cardboard with no flavor at all. The cooked sausage and another package in the refrigerator went in the trash. Sad to say but after over 7 decades, good bye Marona's. There will be no more annual treks to buy what used to be the best breakfast sausage you could find. So sad.

Not knowing much about it; I Yelped wine stores in the area & Harker House had the highest ratings so I headed there. I was not disappointed. Customer service was top notch. The associate basically held my hand & gave me a complete description of their top white wines & prosecco bottles. I purchased 20+ bottles of various types. My guests, including the well to do Italians, loved the wine & prosecco. Best part: price was very competitive. I highly recommend Harker for any occasion you are looking to have! Thank you!!!

The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and they let me sample a few products before making my (first of many to come) purchases. Even better, they have the occasional event featuring pairings. So of course, being local, I got on their mailing list. It's also a convenient stop if you're traveling along the Taconic, perhaps a mile away from the Salt Point exit. It's not the closest liquor store to my house, but it's one I will want to visit frequently.
