Hermann Hill was good, but not great. I can see why this is a spot where couples come to connect…read more We stayed in the rooms that were attached to check in so my ranking only based on that room and facility. Check in was easy and the view on the hill would be nice if not rainy and can't imagine what a great sunny day would be like (probably very pretty!). They do have a 3 mile walking trail but if you try it you need to grab the map first or you'll think you're heading to a private road. We turned back without a map thinking we went the wrong way - rookie mistake but wish we would have been told to grab a map prior to heading out. Or be handed one as newbies... The owner I believe lives in the facility as well, and it was Easter weekend. He was talkative first night upon check in and did stop by outside to chat. The waterfall was not working and he said maybe he'd get it working by the time we left. Not a big deal, but never did turn on. It was odd that his family lived there or was visiting for Easter so we did feel a little like intruders over the weekend. Room: was freezing cold, and first night the heat was not working well. We did have a fireplace in the room but the unit to use for heat was not working no matter what we tried even with staff assistance. The bathroom was freezing and we had to use a space heater to try to warm it. We did complain the second night and nothing was fixed as owner was having Easter dinner upstairs with his family. Hot Tub: clean, small and perfect for 2 people. Made the trip. Didn't use the small table fire pit. They don't tell you that they drop off deserts at night and the next morning we woke up with melted ice cream outside the room. Communication breakdown. Coffee was folders, nothing great but did have a selection of offerings for breakfast time. Staff workers were amazing - kind and super friendly given that it was Easter weekend. You can tell they do try to give you the best experience. The staff hired here were amazing and friendly. Games are available for the rainy days. TV has most steaming services, rooms a tad older look. Somethings not functioning - like the sound machine, TV being finicky, and heat in room. We probably will not choose this room. Would rather stay at the rooms that are on the river and try that route next time!

During the appointment, I was told my lashes might feel different afterward, and when I was asked if I noticed a difference, I honestly didn't. My lashes felt exactly the same, looked exactly the same, and even appeared the same color despite paying for both a lift and tint. I expected a noticeable curl and darker lashes, but I saw little to no visible change. My biggest disappointment, however, was my brow lamination. I came in about a month after Ulta had removed more hair than I would have liked from my brows. While my brows were not as full as they had been previously, they still had shape and enough hair to achieve a noticeable laminated look. Because of that, I expected the brow lamination to give them the lifted, brushed-up appearance that laminations are known for. Instead, my brows looked very similar to how they did when I walked in and lacked the polished, laminated appearance I was hoping for. After reaching out, I met with the manager, Sara, who agreed that my brows did not appear properly laminated. She explained that they were short-staffed and even mentioned that she needed her own brows done but didn't have anyone available to perform the service. She personally looked at my brows, acknowledged my concerns, and told me they were working on training additional staff. She offered me 50% off a future brow lamination once someone had been properly trained and told me she would contact me when that happened. That follow-up never happened. Months have passed, and I never received a call, email, update, or the opportunity to redeem the discount that was offered. More importantly, I never received the brow lamination service that I originally paid for and expected. While I appreciated Sara acknowledging the issue, offering 50% off a future service meant I would have had to pay again to receive the results I should have received the first time. When a service doesn't produce the expected results and management agrees there was an issue, customers shouldn't have to spend more money to receive what they paid for in the first place. Even that offer was never followed through on. What disappointed me most wasn't just the service itself--it was the lack of accountability afterward. My concerns were validated by management, a solution was discussed, and then I never heard from anyone again. Since then, I have been seeing Prisma Medspa and have consistently received the results I was hoping for from the beginning. The difference in both the quality of the brow services and the overall customer experience has been significant. Businesses doesn't have to be perfect, but they should stand behind their services and follow through on promises made to their customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience

Totally dissatisfied with this experience, proceed with caution!…read more My boyfriend and I visited Woodhouse for the first time and each received two services each. I booked us each a 50-minute Swedish Body Balance Massage and a 50-minute WH Signature Classic HydraFacial expecting a relaxing, luxurious experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but. We arrived more than 30 minutes early being that it was our first visit, and the front desk staff felt a bit unwelcoming and dismissive right off. We were briefly shown the locker rooms and changed into robes. It was a little off-putting having to choose to change in either the shower area on the wet floor, or next to the toilet. My boyfriend and I met back in the "quiet room" where we were asked to fill out more paperwork. It's a bit annoying to have to fill out the same paperwork that we filled out online before our visit. The quiet room I might add was very crowded and not so quiet. There were several people on their phones, FaceTiming, most were not even trying to keep quiet. Moving on, our first service was the Hydrafacial. The Classic was supposed to be 50 minutes, but I looked at the clock on the Hydrafacial machine when the aesthetician began and when it ended, and it was 35 minutes. In addition, at least 5 of those minutes was spent under the red-light device. Online it doesn't specify that a red light would be used unless booking the 80-minute Deluxe Hydrafacial. To me, it's a copout to stick someone under the red light device for a shorter service, and would have liked more time actually getting the facial I'm paying for. I have a red light mask at home, so for me this was not needed. Next up were our massages and I'm being nice by saying they were underwhelming. Both my and my boyfriend's unfriendly therapists asked us separately (we did NOT get a couples massage) to choose an aromatherapy oil. We chose one, but I did NOT book us for Aromatherapy massages, so I was a little confused. In hindsight I should have spoken up, but I thought this "came with" the Body Balance massage. I did say at the start however, that I did NOT want any upgrades or add-ons and that I wanted exactly the services I booked. Onto the lackluster massage where I specifically mentioned to focus on my lower back, but at least 5 minutes was spent "working a knot" out of my shoulder which I didn't feel I had. It felt rushed and mechanical, not customized or attentive. To make matters worse, the treatment rooms were surprisingly noisy. The entire time both my boyfriend and I heard people filling what sounded like ice buckets, and he heard someone keep saying "cleaning crew" or something similar during his massage. Far from the serene environment I expected. And lastly, like the facial, it concluded in well under 50 minutes. The therapist walked me back to the quiet room and asked if I wanted anything to drink like a mimosa, and I said yes thank you, that'd be nice. She never returned with that drink. At the conclusion of our afternoon, we changed and went to check out. Expecting to pay $800 for our four services, we were charged $830 ($15 for each of us for aromatherapy). Sigh. I pointed this out to the front desk worker and said that we did NOT ask for any upgrades. I pulled up my account which showed where I did not choose aromatherapy. I stated that I was clear about not wanting any upgrades. Same with my boyfriend. He did not agree to anything besides what we booked online. The worker stated she could not remove the $30 charge, but that the owner could call me the following week to discuss. I'm still waiting to receive that call. Overall $30 is not a lot compared to what we paid for the other services, but I feel this is an extremely sneaky and unprofessional tactic to nickel and dime customers. Overall, this spa charges luxury prices but delivers a very average experience. There are plenty of other places that offer better service, more attentive staff, and far better value. I've frequented the Four Seasons many times, and if it weren't for their spa being closed for renovations, I would have gone there. I won't be returning to Woodhouse and will give my business back to the Four Seasons once they reopen.

All my knots are untied! Definitely going back for more! Red light therapy isn't for me, though. It's like a suntan bed and I am claustrophobic, so not a good match. The spa is sparkling clean and lovely. Worth the 40 minute drive from my house.
