Delicious nectarines
Rachel R.

My fiancé and I loved this place. All of the produce looked so fresh and delicious. We were visiting from out of town, so we couldn't buy much, but we tried some nectarines - and they were delicious! Besides produce and fresh baked goods, they also sell other cute gifts and home decorations, things for the kitchen, etc. We highly recommend this place! If we lived closer we probably would visit all the time.

My farm share including four types of lettuce, squash, onions, peppers, parsley and much much more!

I originally pooh-poohed the place going solely by the Googly pics but OMG so glad Steve chose this place! Many plants and beautiful irises outside. BUT...I stepped INSIDE the store and the first thing I noticed was the bakery section. Okay, so only one item was gluten free (local bakery offerings) but they were lavender meringues and they were only $1 each! A super unique treat for me! Steve found the freezer with the meat. YOU MUST BUY THE MEAT! Buy ALL the BACONS! We fried up the Irish bacon today (had to find out how to cook it just right) and it was soooo good. Very different and much much much better than any store bought bacon. We also purchased Canadian bacon to try later this week. The tomatos were the first of the season. I cut one up for a tomato, spinach and brie omelette and the tomato flavor stood out. Very very good flavor! I would love (and hope to) return for produce this summer...and for eggs. Some of the items were a bit pricey for us (bacon was a steal for the quality, though) like the bourbon maple syrup and the duck pastrami however these are top notch products I have not seen anywhere else and honestly, the syrup is on my shopping list now if I do ever get back to Holbrook Farm. We also bought local coffee but haven't ground the beans yet. BTW the proprietress was very kind and patient and lovely. Please visit!

No cover charge and I could eat a dozen donuts. We got the scones and apple strudel as well. Both 12/10! The apple cider is also off the charts. Some of the best I've had. The pies are super fresh and I wanted one of everything! They post that they sell at local DeCicco's as well but can't confirm if it's all flavors... No u pick apples but they have every variety imaginable in the stand and all were fresh like they were picked that day. Plenty of other farm fresh veggies and honey. There is also some spots to eat outside and a food truck with some pizza and bbq options. The road to get here is a little rough. Super narrow and some spots where only one car can pass at a time. There is a parking lot and street parking available. Would very much depend on the time of day and year you are going but we were able to get a spot in front at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend for anyone of all ages especially if you love apple cider donuts!

Around 2pm, they were sold out of pork and wings. Live music outside (country) and several picnic tables outside. Bathroom is an outhouse. The donuts are good - they're the fried kinds. Not super friendly staff. The cheddar scone was suepr dry and tough - it wasn't flaky at all.

We are making Lobster Fra Diavlo for din and we already got fresh Maine Lobstahs lol from a local fish monger but we needed to get all of the rest of the ingredients for the dish as well as making a pan bagnat for lunch (Niçoise tuna sandwich). We found all the beautiful and fresh ingredients we needed as this store is not lacking for want. I also got a couple of bouquets of fresh flowers and the single genius flower bunches were beautiful but I wanted a premade bouquet and the selections of premades were all starting to look a bit wilty sadly; maybe time for a sale to clear them out. This grocery store is very clean and nicely stocked. There were some ladies promotion vegan meat and they were offering samples but all the different departments had their own fair share of nice tempting goodies. It was packed and parking was tough but they are calling for some decent snow tomorrow (up to 18") so that didn't help the weekend rush. Finally had a chance to go apple picking with a group of friends at this lovely, sprawling orchard…read moreduring Fall Festival Country Music theme weekend. There was a lot going on throughout, including awesome live music, hot apple cider, farm store filled with gourmet products, multiple food vendors, pumpkin cheesecake tastings, and of course the vast orchard where all the apple trees were, which were all located uphill. There were over 10 different types of apples, such as Mutsu, Evergreen, Macoun, Snapdragon, and Honeycrisp. I mostly collected the more unique kinds. I also managed to locate the Pear trees, way behind the hay riding area. I picked Asian and Bosc pears. We went on a hay ride, which was $5 and it was rustic, bumpy, giving a sweeping view of the beautiful orchard grounds. Back in the main area, we had lunch. By this time, lines were pretty long, so we divided and conquered, as well as found a place to sit. I shared Pork Ribs and Fries, which were both very tasty. The Ribs were delightfully tender and well seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy. One draw back was that most everything at the store and most lunch items were quite expensive. Overall, there were great vibes, and I really enjoyed the views at the farm, apple / pear picking, as well as the hay ride.

One of the best times I've had in a really long time!…read more As a born and raised Floridian, I'd never been apple picking, but a fall trip demanded it so we found ourselves here on the last weekend of the season. We started down at the bottom of the hill with "Apple Cannons" ! Pneumatic launchers that lobbed our apples into an old truck, pumpkins, hay bales, and fun targets. So awesome! Then we headed up to the main event and wow! It was a total vibe! - A live band playing exactly the perfect country music you'd expect at an apple orchard on a cool fall day. - Vendors selling soft & hard cider, juice, various hot foods, and my personal favorite, hot fresh apple cider donuts! - Costumed characters walking around passing out trick or treat candy to the kids. - An Apple orchard! Row after row after row of apple trees, most were picked pretty clean, but we found lots of juicy and delicious fruit waiting for us on the trees. You can wander around and eat whatever you want or buy a bag and take some home... We did both! Inside there's a general store and souvenir shop as well, and everyone we let or talked to was helpful and friendly, but we had all our fun out in the open.

Shakespeare once penned "to thine own self be true." i would pen this as "keep thine own manure to thyself." have been going here for years BECAUSE ITS UNUSUAL.BECAUSE ITS HIGH END. yet nature called this time. when i asked about a restroom they pointed me to the back where the porta potties are. the first one i opened was simply a predessor of what was to come. the other two left me w an impossible choice. i was trying not to dry heave entering the chosen one which was a slim comparison of the lesser of the other 2 evils. by the time i got to the front entrance where the car was parked i was bent over the car holding onto dear life with persistant vomiting onto the gravel. i felt so pretty. my friends would not go to lunch as planned as their description of my dryheaving in the car & my green face did not lend itself to eating. to not describe these portolets is not spareing you dear reader, but myself from the visuals that would prompt unyielding dryheaving every. single. time. that i think about this.my problem with this: i have a pretty strong stomach. my dad in the medical field would come home for dinner & while we were eating could easily talk about such subjects as pus. im no stranger when it comes to intestinal fortitude. these portolets were otherwordly disgusting, which to me were a complete insult to their customers who are spending small fortunes. i have never left there spending less than $300.00. and I'm on a pretty tight budget but I plan & save to come here. and most of their customers did not fall off the turnip truck or are backwoods farmers looking for something "purdy." show some respect to your customers. you want me to spend $250. 00 on some little garden ornament then clean up your act. make sure you use a real bathroom before coming here.
