Shakespeare once penned "to thine own self be true." i would pen this as "keep thine own manure to thyself." have been going here for years BECAUSE ITS UNUSUAL.BECAUSE ITS HIGH END. yet nature called this time. when i asked about a restroom they pointed me to the back where the porta potties are. the first one i opened was simply a predessor of what was to come. the other two left me w an impossible choice. i was trying not to dry heave entering the chosen one which was a slim comparison of the lesser of the other 2 evils. by the time i got to the front entrance where the car was parked i was bent over the car holding onto dear life with persistant vomiting onto the gravel. i felt so pretty. my friends would not go to lunch as planned as their description of my dryheaving in the car & my green face did not lend itself to eating. to not describe these portolets is not spareing you dear reader, but myself from the visuals that would prompt unyielding dryheaving every. single. time. that i think about this.my problem with this: i have a pretty strong stomach. my dad in the medical field would come home for dinner & while we were eating could easily talk about such subjects as pus. im no stranger when it comes to intestinal fortitude. these portolets were otherwordly disgusting, which to me were a complete insult to their customers who are spending small fortunes. i have never left there spending less than $300.00. and I'm on a pretty tight budget but I plan & save to come here. and most of their customers did not fall off the turnip truck or are backwoods farmers looking for something "purdy." show some respect to your customers. you want me to spend $250. 00 on some little garden ornament then clean up your act. make sure you use a real bathroom before coming here. He delivered less than 14 yards of unscreened fill. Dirt is gray, full of stones ranging from 1"-3" in diameter and GLASS! I pulled well over 100 pieces of glass out of the dirt he delivered. I saved every piece. (picture pending). He knew I was building a yard for my 3-year-old son and STILL SOLD ME GLASS-filled dirt. Carl refuses to do anything about it. Told me to "break the glass with a hammer" that "it's NE." Sure, I expect a few pieces of glass here and there when buying that much dirt but not 100s. Not pieces 3" long, the bottom half of beer bottles, and what looks like a shatter vial. Oh, and there's metal in here too. Like 6" pieces of it and broken pieces of pottery. AVOID CARL and DANBURY TOPSOIL. Save yourself time and money and protect your property.

I came in on Black Friday (gasp!), not for any crazy deals but because I was running errands with a friend and needed a shower curtain & some other household minutia. The store was busy but not overwhelming and there were plenty of employees around to help. I found a shower curtain I loved (I'm so excited just typing that, guess this is life in your 30s) and the display was the only one in stock so a nice staff member got that crazy enormous ladder and took it down for me, priced it ($13.99 from $45!!) and sent me on my way. Pluuuus it was an extra 20% off because of Black Friday! So that's my highlight for the month but the moral of the story is the staff were all great, they kept the lines moving fast, and it was a much more pleasant experience than I anticipated during a busy weekend.
