We started with drinks and some lite breakfast fare all of which tasted good. I went with the crab cake eggs Benedict with wasabi hollandaise sauce which was full of flavor. The crab cake itself tasted as if it just came out of the sea. Incredibly fresh. I also got to try their French toast entree too. What looked like 2 slabs of brioche made into French toast with a berry topping and maple syrup was also just as good. 10/10. The service here was very polite and attentive to all of our needs throughout our visit. I would definitely like to come here again. Eat here!

I received a call to confirm our reservation, inquiry about food allergies, confirm our celebration and express they are looking forward to welcoming us, this set the tone! The decor is industrial, elegant and aquatic (the mermaids sculpture on the wall is gorgeous). The furniture is contemporary and beautiful. Very nice aesthetic. .The door man Keith was very warm and welcoming Our server was Santiago, he was knowledgeable about the menu, so professional and personable. The other staff members were also very nice. The manager stopped by to check on us. Now the food! Let's start with the offering of fresh sliced fruit for our sparkling water! Cucumber, lime, lemon, orange and strawberry. Do cool! For the appetizer we had the pork belly bao buns, lamb chops and fried calamari. For the entree we ordered the Chilean sea bass, the Salmon and Halibut, all were prepared perfectly. For the cocktails we had the Smokey blue sky and the blackberry flutterby delicious! Finally for dessert we had the warm chocolate cake, the pistachio cannoli and strawberry mandarin almond cake. Everything was fantastic.

Since this was my first visit, I watched the kitchen closely. Proper meal prep standards were adhered to while there. The staff was friendly and helpful not just to us but to all the customers while we were there. The cashier suggested that we do not close our bag so that the dumplings remained crisp. The food was delicious!!! We plan to go back and try other items. We would recommend that you give them a try.

First a few facts: 'Dumpling Town (or Dumpling Town 印象沙县)…read moreis a Chinese restaurant specializing in authentic Fujianese-style, handmade dumplings, soup dumplings, and savory comfort foods. Known for fresh ingredients and affordable prices, locations exist in Elmhurst, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Edison, NJ. Key menu items include Shaxian wontons, pork soup dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings. ' I was looking for a new place to try one of my favorite comfort food; dumplings! Just saying dumpling puts a smile on my face. Yes, you can see my dimples! Just like the dimples on the dumplings! Dumpling Town specializes in pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork chive dumplings, and chicken curry dumplings and many more options, Bento box combos and combination entrees. They also serve noodles, soups, and Shaxian delicacies like wontons. 'Shaxian Delicacies (沙县小吃), a popular, affordable, and, often, franchised style of Chinese snack food. These delicacies, recognized as intangible cultural heritage, include signature items like peanut butter noodles, wontons, and steamed dumplings.' I ordered the Shaxian peanut noodles and they were scrumptious with the mixture of peanut and soy sauce with chopped scallions. The pan fried pork chive dumplings come with eight nice sized dumplings and a delicious side dipping sauce. I am really impressed and to want try other items on their menu such as Bento Box. Additionally, Staten Island, especially Hylan Boulevard has a plethora of restaurants to try when I want a little getaway from Bay Ridge. My dimples are still showing! *This review is for delivery only 2232 Hylan Boulevard (S79 to Midland Avenue)

We decided to come to the Staten Island location because I saw that the manhattan location is very small and I just thought it would be easier for parking here as well which is a plus. As we walked in on Labor Day afternoon, there was only a table of customers so although the restaurant is is small, they were able to easily accommodate my party of 7. The menu looked good with a lot of comfort food from Hong Kong and I had high expectations after reading the reviews online. After we placed our order, I attempted to go to the restroom only to find out they don't have one and I was directed to go to stop and shop 2 blocks away. This is apparently legal but unacceptable IMO given they offer dine in option. I came back 25mins later after going to a very disgusting and smelly restroom which made me lose my appetite, the food was already all out with my family almost done with their meal (hence my photos of the food have all been digged in). The portion size was small but the main issue I had was it all seemed like reheated frozen food from the super market. The scallion pancake was oily and dense, the wonton noodle came out with the Shanghai style noodles instead of the egg noodles as shown in the photo and they told us they ran out of the egg noodles. Just how bazaar is that? They should've just told us it's sold out. The wonton was tiny and tasteless. The braised beef noodles was however decent. The noodles were al dente, the beef were tender and flavorful. The Roti itself wasn't as flaky as I would like but the curry sauce was surprisingly good. It was creamy with a hint of coconut taste and just the right amount of kick to it. The dumplings literally just taste like the frozen ones from the supermarket so there's nothing much to comment - it's edible. Overall, I think this is a cute themed restaurant we would go once just for the experience. It's convenient with parking but not having restrooms available is a turn off. The food was below average and I would probably not return again. So go if you are a major dragon ball fan and would just like to experience it. Just don't have any expectations for the food.
