I've been to a few hot pot places, but nothing compared to Hot Pot King. It's easily the best place…read morefor Hot Pot in Baltimore County. From a wide range of broths, to the clean, buffet style option you can choose to get your food from instead of hoping the server brings it to you. And the complimentary fried chicken karage was great too! The inside is very relaxed and warm.

Food: 4/5 My go-to is the Tom Yum and the broth is flavorful with a good amount of sour alongside the spice. The quality of the meat is good, but I just feel like there could be more options and consistency. For example, I am a fiend for enoki mushrooms and they never have them. My family also loves watercress and it depends on the day if they have them. They changed their winter melon tea to a plum tea as well. Service: 5/5 polite staff, no complaints! Just be aware you get up to grab your own meats/seafood/veggies as well as the sauces. The servers are there for the initial broth placement orders, drinks, and if you need additional help there are server assistance buttons at each table. Ambiance: Every time I have been here, the place is not too crowded or loud at all. Plenty of tables to seat 4, some partially enclosed tables for parties of 6-7, and a round table to accommodate 8. There is a TV in the center playing dramas or music videos but usually no audio. Parking: large shopping center parking lot, but it can be busy.

I recently visited Iron Age and had such a great experience…read more The atmosphere was lively, the grill stayed hot the entire time, and the service kept things moving so we were never waiting long between rounds. It's definitely a fun spot whether you're going for a date night or with a group. For meats, my favorites were the seasoned steak, soy pork bulgogi, and the Hawaiian bulgogi -- all were well-marinated, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You really can't go wrong with any of those. The sides were just as good and really completed the meal. I especially enjoyed the grilled veggies, kimchi, and the cheese cream corn (which was super creamy and a standout). Also, don't skip the lemon drops -- they were really good and paired well with the whole experience. Overall, this is one of my go-to Korean BBQ spots in the area. Great food, great vibes, and a place I'd definitely come back to.

That was nice, since it was a little hectic, they kept it professional. The food was good as always, our server, Daniel, made our VDay dinner the best we could've expected on a crazy day. From their steak cuts, I think the Iron Age one was our favorite. And of course the classic bulgogi meats

We were here with a large group and were very well taken care of. Great attentive service…read more Tandoori shrimp was so good. They also pizza with an Indian twist. Very good. Masala soda as a non alcoholic beverage is a great accompaniment to the spicy food. Asked them to make indo Chinese for us with Hakka noodles and chicken fried rice with chilli chicken with semi-gravy...was very close to the original Indian street food. Their manchow chicken soup also was great. One of us had a khasta kachori to start with and was yumm as well.

I recently came as part of a larger group to celebrate a birthday. Right off the bat, I must say…read morethat the food was delicious - we had a family style set up where apps were shared, followed by a larger selection of entrees and sides and then desserts (including a cake that was brought). I can't remember everything we had because there was so much food, but every single dish was flavorful and satisfying! One of the appetizers stuck out to me which was the chicken tikka naan pizza, which I really enjoyed. I also liked the cauliflower dish, though I wish it had a little more of a kick to it. We had plenty of chicken items for the entrees and I tried a little bit of everything. The chicken tikka and chickpea dishes were my favorite, along with the chicken biryani. I appreciated the subtle spice in some of the dishes. The desserts were also good, but the gulab jamun was a bit too sweet for my liking - I am the type that prefers for subtle sweetness. Since we were a larger party, we were served the mango lassis in these plastic pitchers (which we actually didn't mind), but then they were switched out into just a few small bottles so we couldn't really share them anymore? They were better off in the pitchers if I'm being honest. I am removing one star because the service could have been better. It seemed like the staff members were not communicating amongst one another, as one staff member would say something that contradicted the other, on multiple occasions (including during the planning process). They did not pack our left overs for us (they said they didn't do that) so we asked for several containers to pack everything we had left; had we known this, we would have packed the many appetizers we had leftover or asked them to keep it to the side. Finally, there was a staff member that seemed visibly irritated with our party when she passed by because her tone was a bit unpleasant, even though she wasn't helping our table but was working the other tables (might've just been because we were a larger party and they were somewhat busy). Overall, the food was delicious and the set up is aesthetically pleasing. I was also impressed that there was a full bar available. Parking lot is spacious but be careful leaving the lot, because people were zooming into the shopping center on our way out to avoid the incoming traffic.

"I can't wait to come back here." - my father, after our lunch here…read more Saw signs promoting Mirchi popping up in the area and I figured I'd try them out. Came in for lunch with my dad and we loved everything about it. The inside has a classy ambiance with plenty of tables and a full bar. We were the first customers, but the place filled up shortly after. I'm of European descent, but I take it as a good sign for a place like this when pretty much all the other clientele appeared to be South Asian. They started us off with a complimentary papadum basket with cilantro-mint chutney and tamarind sauces. Delightful. We ordered two appetizers: Vegetable pakora and chili pepper paneer. The vegetable pakora was interesting. I'm used to a mix of veggies fried in their own way, but these were fritters that seemed to be a mix of onion, potato, and I think zucchini. It worked, especially with the chutneys to top it off. The sizzling paneer was also great - nice and crispy crust with a perfect spicy glaze. I'd get either of these again. For the mains, we got Chicken Korma and Malai Kofta. When our waiter asked for our spice preference, we both said medium. I think medium was perfect, even though I'm used to a mild Malai Kofta. I think it was my father's upper spice limit, but he loved his Korma. Both sauces were easy to mop up with some butter naan. Even a simple cup of masala tea was memorable - perfect amount of spices and milk to mellow them out. Would drink this again. Our waiter was attentive but gave us space to enjoy the meal and each other's company without frequent interruption. According to our waiter, they have lunch buffets on the weekend only. He added that Sunday is the bigger day of the two. Maybe I'll come back one of those days to sample more of the variety of offerings. Wouldn't change a thing. Great experience. Definitely recommend.
