This replaced another Halal restaurant before it. The food qualifies it as a suitable replacement for sure. Good service as well.

The restaurant is medium sized, lots of booths, and was decorated for Valentine's Day. They take reservations and were pretty busy. Service was good, although a little slow at the beginning. I tried the following dishes: Cauliflower Manchurian (3/5): This dish was pretty good, but not amazing. I did enjoy it. Garlic Chili Noodles (3.5/5): Pretty good noodles, not very spicy but good flavor and consistency. Hakka Chili Chicken (4/5): I liked this chicken, but my dining partner did not. The chicken was boneless dark meat, which I really like. You can get it with no, light, or full gravy. We did full and had it with rice. I did enjoy this dish. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at HAKA. No dishes were real standouts, but they were all decent. It is not a bad option for Indo-Chinese in the area.

The menu has both indian and chinese dishes. It's not fusion just two different cuisines being sold. We ordered a roll that came with shrimp tempura, mango and salmon. It was very good, a warm grill that felt like a sandwich. The side galore noodles we ordered were dry and not very flavourful. We ordered shrimp with then and they came with fried/tempura shrimp, which we found odd. There was also egg on the dish but it did nothing for the noodles. We ordered the noodles regular so they should have had some sauce but there was none. The chicken dishes were both really good. The chicken wasn't overly fried or breaded. It tasted fresh and had a good bite to it. I like the spicy garlic chicken a bit more because of the spice. The haka chicken was more of a sweet and salty flavor. Both were tasty. If I'm in the area I'll come back here.

I ordered the mixed chicken and lamb over rice with a side of French fries, loaded with both white sauce and barbecue sauce. The platter was massive and beautifully layered. The chicken was tender, juicy, and packed with warm spices, while the lamb was perfectly seasoned, thinly sliced, and had that rich, savory flavor that pairs so well with the fluffy, flavorful rice. The French fries were crispy and mixed right in, adding great texture. I loved the contrast between the cool, creamy garlic white sauce and the smoky, tangy barbecue sauce. They complemented the meat perfectly and I ended up drizzling extra on every bite. The portion was so generous I could barely finish it, but it made for an amazing lunch the next day too. I also got the lamb gyro with white sauce on the side. The pita was soft and warm, stuffed generously with thinly sliced, marinated lamb that was crispy on the edges and super flavorful. Fresh tomatoes, onions, and lettuce added a nice crunch, and that signature creamy white sauce tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was juicy, savory, and downright addictive. Everything tasted fresh, made to order, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. This is my new go-to spot for halal food on Long Island. If you're craving Mediterranean/halal eats done right, do yourself a favor and stop here. You won't be disappointed!

The food was perfect between spicy and savory, the service was very fast and the restaurant and the whole installation was clean and well The place got really packed super fast, by 7 pm they were barely tables so consider that, so plan accordingly There is also a lot of delivery options which is pretty convenient! Lastly I would definitely suggest to check their Ice Thai tea because it was SPECTACULAR !!! Would definitely recommend to come back!

3.5 Stars for their lunch specials!…read more This was our first visit, and we only ordered a salad and two lunch specials. I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu.

I ordered lamb platter with white rice, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and that divine white sauce spread all over the top. The lamb was cut into small cubes and they were tasty! It came with two small plastic containers of red hot sauce and two containers of an earthy green sauce. I didn't try the green sauce; the hut sauce was zesty & complemented the meal well. Ambiance was nothing to write back home to mom about. It was a clean space, it was kind of sterile. Good thing I don't eat ambiance. So with that, the food was very good & it hit the proverbial spot! If you're hankering for a good gyro meat with rice and all the toppings come here, they won't disappoint. Buon appetito!!

The chicken/lamb combo over rice was a standout! Perfectly seasoned with a generous drizzle of their creamy white sauce. I decided to add french fries because I was really hungry but in retrospect, that might have been a little overboard. The gyro was also bomb. Smother it in white sauce and hot sauce for a perfect blend of flavors. My only gripe is that some of the chicken had ligaments in it. I'm not really a fan of chewing on those things but it was just a few and overall the food was great!

Everything was also packed up and presented so nicely. My mom picked it up and she said that an employee helped and brought everything to her car. The meals came with with different types of kabobs (2 different chicken ones, and two different beef ones), Chicken Shawarma, Israeli salad, hummus, fries, babaghanoush, two different kinds of rice and pita bread. We also had falafel. Let me tell you....everything was so delicious. I wasn't even hungry after my first plate but I still helped myself to more. Everyone in my family throughly enjoyed.
