Amazing food and even better service. Halal grill is run by very kind and generous people, highly recommended this place for good food.

Sort of a hole in the wall in a shopping center with deferred maintainence. I've tried their chicken wrap and lamb kebab and the lamb was some of the best I've ever had. Not gamey at all probably some type of Dorper. The chicken for me was not good and seemed like it had been cooked before and then microwaved for when I ordered. I would reccomend ordering the lamb kebab. The guy at the register is always very gracious. The place is never crowded, it looks like they could do with half their current space. Give this restaurant some business so it stays in business! read more

I will admit, I was super sad when I pulled into the parking lot to realize my beloved Angels kitchen was now halal grill. I figured since I had driven 30 minutes for my favorite Mexican dish, I might as well stay and try Halal. Well, I am glad that I did! The owner is the sweetest and gave me some pointers and let me taste some sauces since my Husband can be quite picky when it comes to spice. The chicken is so tender and juicy!! Like literally the best chicken I've ever had. The hummus is very creamy and I swear I could drink it! It is in a small shopping center and doesn't get as get the attention it deserves. You HAVE to try it! read more

A very pleasant surprise in a non descriptive shopping center whose claim to fame is by the Police Station. This find will surprise you to a delightful Middle Eastern prepared plate of delicious food. Plates take some time to come out as everything seems prepared from scratch. Worth a visit! read more

This place deserves more attention that I have seen them getting! It's a nice mom and pop type place. The meals are simple and delicious. Their hummus is homemade and honestly the best I have found locally. I had to get an order to go so I could have it again with veggies at home. Yum! Nothing fancy but the food is very very good. read more

Ended up trying the chicken wrap. It was hefty with a lot of chicken which I loved! The veggies that come in the wrap were to tangy for my liking and they wilted a lot because of the heat of the chicken. I will have to modify for my taste when I order again. But next time for sure I am trying the kabobs. I love this place! And as others have said, the owner is so nice and personable! read more

The best chicken kabob in the area, tender and spiced well. Pleasant owner and friendly service.

I had the chicken rice bowl and it was very delicious! I'm not very much a chicken person because I'm more of a beef person but since they didn't have beef opted for the chicken. Super loved it! Ordered the grilled lamb wrap and chicken wrap as a snack before heading to the Folsom Zoo. Lamb wrap was delicious with very flavorful and tender lamb pieces and a nice amount of sauce and vegetable. Chicken wrap was a little over drenched with sauce and garlic but next time I will simply request a little less. Very friendly staff and a clean and welcoming venue. read more

What a pleasant surprise! We were looking for a halal spot and were so happy to discover that this place serves delicious Afghani food--something you don't often find in this area. I went with my kids and we ordered the beef kabob plate, lamb plate, and a chicken wrap to go. Everything was absolutely amazing--fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was also great--friendly and welcoming. The chicken wrap especially stood out--so good! Can't wait to come back and try the other wraps. So glad we found this gem! read more

Best kabobs, hummus & rice I have had in Folsom. Solid 5/5 on food. Interior needs some TLC but don't let that distract you from the absolute deliciousnesss that comes from the kitchen. Lick the plate clean! read more

This place has only been open for about 6 months and I'm so glad I gave it a try. When we walked in there was nobody at the register to greet us but I was okay with that because it gave us time to look at the menu board. We were a little weary about eating there because they had no other customers at the time. We stood there for a few minutes and the owner came out and apologized. He was in the kitchen preparing a take out order. Boy, was I so thankful we stayed. Food was delicious. We ordered the Eggplant & combo kabob plate. The eggplant was so delicious, it came with hummus, salad & rice. The kabob combo comes with lamb, chicken, rice, hummus & salad. All dishes comes with complimentary pita, yogurt sauce & hot sauce. Everything tasted so fresh and homemade. I'm so excited to go back and eat there again. The owner was so very nice!! Lamb and chicken were super tender and not dry at all. read more

Amazing!!! The owner is awesome and the food is delicious. Tastes just like NY Halal chicken. The hummus is creamy and rich and the side salad is perfect. Pricing is the lowest we have seen for the value. Get the garlic sauce and hot sauce to kick it up! read more

Would have taken a picture but I ate it so fast there was nothing to show! Chicken over rice was fire. Their hummus was creamy and flavorful, salad crisp and idk what the dressing was but it was much better than the standard vinaigrette. They just opened and what they have on the menu already is amazing. Come try the chicken and be excited about the future coffee options!!! read more

Omg soooo good. The whole family loved everything they ordered. 2 people ordered the afghan wrap which was huge. One got the quesadilla which was grilled perfectly and on a wrap so the texture was delicious. Another person got the chicken kabobs and he said they were moist and flavorful. I got the eggplant which was just delicious. It was not too mushy and the sauce put it over the edge. The kids got a falafel plate. The falafels were perfect, the rice was fluffy moist and seasoned wonderfully. The fries were even delicious with their own season salt. The family also tried some dessert and said the chocolate pistachio was the best. Dessert is not my thing so I'm taking their word. The staff was very sweet and attentive. It was a Friday night and we only saw one other person come in. So please try this place to keep them in business. The food is very good. The outside is left to be desired but there is plenty of parking which is a plus. Easy in, easy out read more

Went there yesterday with a few friends for a late lunch. Even though we were a large crowd, the food came quickly and every order was correct. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice plate. I work near this restaurant. A lot of the younger people in my office were telling me how great and fresh it was. I did not know what Halal food was, so I was hesitant. Today, I went with my wife and tried it. I know what Halal is now. It is delicious.the prices are very reasonable and cheaper than a fast food restaurant and a way better quality than some of the bigger restaurants. I hope this restaurant survives and is in our community for a very very, very long time. And try the pomegranate dessert. It is amazing and surprising. read more

Great food at a great price! Highly recommend! Don't be deterred by the outward appearance.
